Here's what I'm telling you, go EABOD, GFY, then drink bleach.i am telling, not asking jelly. Go to a your nearest tessy showroom and test drive a model S. Educate yourself.
Why wouldn't you want the luxury of outfitting your garage with a special charging unit or the luxury of having your EV burst into flames in the garage or the luxury of charging the vehicle if temp drops below 20 or the luxury of having to plan your charging stops on your thousand mile trip and hoping the damn charger is functinal when you get there and the luxury of all the waiting around charging time when you could be on the road and the luxury of freezing inside your vehicle because you're afraid to run the heater as it and cold temps drastically cut range and you must get there. Here's what I'm telling you, go EABOD, GFY, then drink bleach.
I think the cars look nice and the tech is cool.youre not, youre unconsciously unaware. most sheep are. You are only looking at price, that comes later, right now its still like a flat screen versus box tv, its a far superior car thats getting more and more affordable and superior by the year. Go test drive a tessy.
I move lacrosse goals pretty often in the Spring.
I think I'll just have to live without all those luxuries and refrain from bragging about my precious EV.

it doesnt bother me, your ignorance should bother you, i am simply suggesting you rid yourself of ignorance. Go find out what the fuss is all about.I think the cars look nice and the tech is cool.
But I'm not a 12 year old. I don't buy toys I find cool when I need certain things out of a vehicle.
I don't want your EV and I don't care about how awesome you think they are to drive. I've weighed the capabilities and pros/cons and it doesn't make sense for me.
I'm sorry this bothers you so much.
i am not a trumper, i dont listen to the mans advice. i live a healthy lifestyle jelly, no need for the bleach. Here's what I'm telling you, go EABOD, GFY, then drink bleach.
I'm not ignorant at all.it doesnt bother me, your ignorance should bother you, i am simply suggesting you rid yourself of ignorance. Go find out what the fuss is all about.
Since you have such a great admiration for Manchelle, you'd have no problem EABOD then.i am not a trumper, i dont listen to the mans advice. i live a healthy lifestyle jelly, no need for the bleach.
To be fair, he also has a crush on AOCSince you have such a great admiration for Manchelle, you'd have no problem EABOD then.
And Ilhan Omar. It must be her hair.To be fair, he also has a crush on AOC
you are, you know absolutely nothing about tessy. Go test drive one, i promise it will open your eyes.I'm not ignorant at all.
Not agreeing with you and not understanding the facts are completely different. I know the pro's and cons of owning and driving a Tesla.
I'm sorry, I am not interested in your EV. I'd prefer to drive what I already own.
who? are you talking about Mrs BIG O? why did she intimidate you so much? was your life really that bad?Since you have such a great admiration for Manchelle, you'd have no problem EABOD then.
I know alot about Teslas.you are, you know absolutely nothing about tessy. Go test drive one, i promise it will open your eyes.
youre intimidated by change, youre not alone, most people are.I know alot about Teslas.
A test drive won't change my mind, I can assure you.
I'm sorry, I'm just not interested. They aren't for me.
I embrace change better than most people.youre intimidated by change, youre not alone, most people are.
As much as I love the Ford F150 and F250, I'm seriously considering the Toyota Tundra over the F250, although I'm not a fan of the Tundra's current exterior design.I embrace change better than most people.
I left a good job and moved my family across the country for a new opportunity (that luckily worked out), I'm a head coach of a HS lax team despite never having played the sport...and with vehicles I've always been an import/luxury guy but I just bought a Tundra a few months ago (and sold my old Ford I loved so much).
I know the pro's and cons of the way an EV works and I don't want to encounter those limitations, no matter how "fun" the car is to drive. Fun to drive is actually pretty low on my list for selecting vehicles. I'm not a teenager.
I have the previous gen with the 5.7L V8 and I LOVE it.As much as I love the Ford F150 and F250, I'm seriously considering the Toyota Tundra over the F250, although I'm not a fan of the Tundra's current exterior design.
I will not own a truck with a six. It has to be an eight or I'm just better off driving a Camry or Accord with a six. That's just me.I have the previous gen with the 5.7L V8 and I LOVE it.
Only two things that would be "nice to improves" on it are gas mileage and turning radius. Everything else about it is pretty perfect.
A coworker just bought a new Limited and I agree on the exterior styling. And it feels cheaper. Doors seem lighter, interior isn't as robust and overall I think they did too much to reduce weight. Plus it's a turbo six, and turbos are inherently less reliable/more complex.
I don't disagreeI will not own a truck with a six. It has to be an eight or I'm just better off driving a Camry or Accord with a six. That's just me.
While I am 100% to each their own, what I tell customers (our 4cyl turbo actually is as capable towing as our 5.3 V8) is that if you trade every 3-4 years, the 4 cyl turbo is fine. If you are going to keep the vehicle for longer than that...I would choose the V8, because 4 less cylinders doing exactly the same work will not last as long as 8 cylinders will. I never try to change minds...I give information to help someone choose what is best for them, because they know that 10,000 times better than I do.I will not own a truck with a six. Towing has three VERY important components. 1. Drive train capability 2. Braking capability 3. Frame strengthGood post
Towing is really on the frame of the truck - but if the engine and trans isn't up to the task it sucks (and can kill the engine).
I just mean that frame strength is a core limitation.Towing has three VERY important components. 1. Drive train capability 2. Braking capability 3. Frame strength
And I guess you could add stability
yes, but you want to have opinions on things that mean something, its best to know what it is your are speaking about. its a technology thats coming, why not take one for a test drive and see what all the hype is about? why not become familiar with something? why be afraid? range anxiety? thats a joke, its like people that run their cars until they have no more gas in the tank, happens all the time. the only drawback of the ev is road tripping, thats it. everything else is far superior.I embrace change better than most people.

SNOWFLAKE.1) Cargo capacity (I need a truck for work and coaching)
1a) Payload, I’m usually transporting a full carload of HS athletes 10-12 times per year. EV’s have terrible payload capacity,
2) It gets really cold here sometimes - we had a stretch of lows below -8 two years ago. EV batteries don’t do well in the cold.
3) I can’t work on it. Even simple stuff like brakes are dangerous on EV’s. I handle all of my own maintenance. Even some moderately difficult repairs, I worked as a mechanic for 18 months right out of school.
4) Lack of service centers. Even Tesla doesn’t have a ton. Other brands? It’s much worse.
5) EV’s are super heavy and eat tires.
6) I live in a downtown area and don’t have a garage, running a cord out every time I get home to charge would be a PITA.
7) Cost to replace the battery, longevity of the battery. It should last 150k miles, but my Toyota V8 has been known to hit 500k easily with a few million mile examples. And I could replace the engine for less than $15k. You’re about to have to shell out $25k to replace the battery in a car that isn’t worth 2/3rds of that. You’re basically driving a big iPhone.
8) I don’t care about green, but they aren’t green at all. They are actually terrible for the environment.
9) I do care about human suffering. The countries the raw minerals are mined in use exploited labor causing death and misery.
10) Cost. EV’s are extremely expensive and IMO a terrible value.
So an expensive car, that doesn’t meet my needs and isn’t good for people or the environment isn’t something I’m interested in. You look at this decision with all of the maturity of a 12YO boy.
Well thought out and beautifully articulated response.SNOWFLAKE.

Gary hasn’t explained to me how a Tesla meets my needs, or how it is cheaper.
Gary is right, i originally thought it was a waste of time, who couldnt grasp such easy concepts. then i ran into the sheeple on this board. Its amazing to me how stupid and scared people are. it boggles my mind....
Did I post about the stainless steel planar construction yet?Gary hasn’t explained to me how a Tesla meets my needs, or how it is cheaper.
Not accounting for any increase in my electric bill, it would take 19-25 years for me to break even on a Cybertruck vs what I paid for my Toyota (used) on fuel usage alone.
And the Cybertruck still wouldn’t meet my needs.
I love how anyone not making the “right” decision is “uneducated”.
Talk about a cult.
