I’m going to say it a thousand times. The inconsistency of the team/program just drives me up a wall. If you ever want to make a run in March Madness you have to at least have some consistency and I just haven’t seen that under White.
Yep ..the inconsistency has been the thing. When we're on we can win...or lose to some of the best teams too.

Florida played horribly the first half. They were uninspired, turning it over like crazy, not moving without the ball and hardly getting any decent looks. Could a couple of fouls have been called? Of course. But that's not an excuse for the terrible effort from a team coming off their best game of the year. They finally decided to play with purpose about half way through the 2nd half, but it was too little too late. They were outplayed and deserved to lose.

UF was called for 18 fouls, Tennessee 15. We were 8-12 from the free throw line, UT was 7-13. UT had 16 assists and 9 turnovers, we had 12 assists and 14 turnovers, 11 turnovers the 1st half. They had a player, Fulkerson, who would not be denied and played with fire the whole game. To me there are no valid excuses for the poor performance and ultimate loss.

Then the obvious answer is to fire that sorry HC for forcing them to play that way. o_O

What a dumb-azz he is, compared to the incredibly smart one's posting here...

Big game on the road vs UGA coming up. I would like to see a 2-0 finish and a couple wins in the SECT to get us out of that 8-9 game. Tough game to win in the first round and then you’ve got a No 1 seed in round 2. I’d actually rather make it as a 10 than an 8.

In all seriousness at some point we should expect to occasionally compete for some type of title, whether it be conference or national. Otherwise our hoops program is no different than dawgs football program.

You’d almost rather be a 10 or 11 seed than an 8 or 9 seed. At that point what difference does it make?
Agree. It looks like we're going to get in the tournament based on a pretty tough schedule, no so-called bad losses and a NET rating that is just good enough. But nobody who has watched this team thinks we are going to make a deep run. We have the talent to knock off a #1 or #2 seed, but also the inconsistency to lose in the first round. Once again, Florida basketball is somewhere around the 30th to 40th best team in the country, not seriously competing for a conference championship and hoping next year will be better.

I hope that the check to the SEC officials didn't bounce, otherwise they are in trouble for sure....

We lose tomorrow and to Kentucky, then we better get a couple of wins in the tourney.

I think 1 win might do it. A Georgia win for sure no matter if we lose right away in the tourney and probably even one win in the tourney but I would be a little more nervous with that scenario.

The bubble is pretty soft this year but I don't see us getting in if we were to have a 4 game losing streak here.

How many games would we have to win in a row to win the SECT? 3?
If we get in as a #4 seed, 3 in a row. If we drop to #5 or below we have to win 4 in a row to win the title. Right now we're in 4th place, 1/2 game ahead of Miss. St. & South Carolina. Lose to Georgia tonight and we drop into a tie with them and then have to play KY Saturday. South Carolina closes out vs. Vanderbilt Saturday, while Miss. St. plays Ole Miss. Not sure what the tiebreakers are between us, Miss. St. & Carolina.

I agree, we can win the SECT. As in, we have the talent and have played to that level in spots. Will we? I would love to see it but have my doubts.

We do not have a good enough inside presence to win the SECT....

I disagree. I bet our rebounding and scoring in the paint are pretty good in the SEC. we could easily win three games in a row. I bet we have the second best roster in the sec.

Lordy. Glad to only be down 2. Dawgs scored 19 points in the firs 6:05 of game. We decided not to play defense again. Need a hot start to second half.

Critical win and great focus the 2nd half. I was watching softball and baseball, so missed most of the game. Just followed the stats on ESPN.com and checked in during commercials. If Auburn & LSU both lose tonight (both trailing late), UF moves to the #2 seed spot for the SEC tournament, based on tiebreakers and the same 11-6 conference record. But it still doesn't guarantee them a Top 4 seed and a 3rd round bye unless then beat KY Saturday. But nice win. .

Not a fan of mini mike and don’t think sneaking in the tourney with a top 10 roster is ok, but man.... I love being In the tourney.
That locked it up.... team is talented enough to get hot and make a run !

Yep we definitely underachieved regular season with this roster but a sweet 16 or better and that will mostly be forgiven.

Good win tonight. Georgia's senior night on the road and they have the top rated player in the country. The gators are playing their best basketball of the year right now.

1. How bad is the rest of Georgia's team if they have the projected #1 overall player yet are 15-15? What, is football taking up all the player purchasing budget so basketball could only afford one player?

2. How weak is this year's NBA draft going to be if the #1 overall player is from GEORGIA?

When we play a complete game we can hang with anyone. Been interesting to see how this team plays out.
