Anyone following what is happening at Mizzou?

Funny in so many ways, have you ever been enrolled at F$U and actually attended an entire semester? Walking into a classroom doesn't count.

GO Canes!

You're noting but a lowlife troll. Add to the discussion or troll on.

Dude you don't have a clue what going on with that campus and neither do I. It's hilarious reading through this thread and seeing people's comments. Hell, one poster even said this is the work of the left trying to influence the 2016 presidential election. Politics truly bring out the crazy in people.
Well clearly we know the KKK actually was not on campus given that Payton Head walked that back citing bad sources.

Well get on the phone and call Mizzou students, faculty, staff, football players and the AD because they all disagree with you.

The quiet from your fellow nole posters defending you is deafening. You may considering cutting your losses and getting eff out of here. :p

This is not about football so we disagree on this particular subject. BTW, I don't need any help. Also, what "losses" should I be cutting??

And neither were the [Black Lives Matter] protests in the St. Louis area following grand jury decision not to indict Wilson. Black and white, young and old. But that did not change the fact that they were, at least in part, perpetuating the myth that [Michael] Brown had his hands up and/or was running away. Yes, they were united for a cause... but a cause built upon a lie.
I value local knowledge, so I give more credibility to what Rushie writes on these interrelated events & issues, even tho' I realize that being in metro St. Louis, he's approximately as local to Columbia as Orlando or Tampa is to G'ville.

[...] you decide to bring up [Black Lives Matter] and Mike Brown. Neither have anything to do with what happened at [University of] Missouri. [....] Keep grasping though.
Riiight! Not anything to do with what happened:

Mizzou hunger striker says Ferguson protests were ‘monumental’ for him
By Matt Pearce -- Los Angeles Times[*]
[....]
Butler, an Omaha, Neb., native, said Ferguson was the first time he’d seen black collective action on a mass scale. For a month, he shuttled the 100 miles from campus to Ferguson. “It was monumental in terms of how it influenced me,” Butler said, calling what came next “the post-Ferguson effect.”

Butler began organizing with other students — emphasizing that he was just one player among several — and eventually became one of the 11 students who surrounded Wolfe’s car at the university’s homecoming parade in October. Wolfe didn’t talk to the students as police arrived to force them away.

Yeah, you're right, its Ferguson, Mike Brown, Trayvon Martin and the BLM movement fault students felt racially discriminated against at Mizzou and decided to protest. It's also their fault the faculty, the football team, the AD and the coach backed them. And all of this is done to get people so worked up that they show up and vote in 2016 so they can put another "Dem" in office. Yes!! I finally figured it out!! Thanks guys!!

They really should just cancel classes for a few days and let people cool-off.

I don't think it's unreasonable for students to feel unsafe considering that 1) there has been a mass school shooting every few weeks for the last couple of years and 2) emotions are running high.

I challenge you all to try to read the following article without 1) pulling your hair out 2) foaming at the mouth 3) constantly splitting the phrase "WTF!??!?" It's op-ed from Brown University. Do not read if you have recently eaten or suffer from high blood-pressure.

http://www.browndailyherald.com/201...-whiteness-free-speech-and-missing-the-point/

When I read this, I felt like I was watching that episode of Star Trek, where Picard is turned into a Borg and starts repeating Borg propaganda at people. I am honestly stunned at how much the modern PC disease has taken over college life. F!#$!@ these pretentious twits. I might vote Republican next election, just out of spite.

I've yet to find anywhere in the constitution where the right "to not be offended" is spelled out anywhere. Missouri doesn't belong in the SEC. Please take their place, and put danullman in a white jacket and escort him out of here. Funny, takes an incident like this for warring sides to come together. The lack of due process within their system is particularly both galling and shocking. Danullman would be howling from the grave if Winston was given the same treatment as this university president. Wow, just wow. It actually warms my heart a bit Danullnuts got a bitch slapping from his own. Student activists don't run the asylum, and never should. Pinkel is walking dead. His team sucks, and he's lost institutional control.

Since you seem a bit confused let me remind you the protesters got exactly what they wanted. They wanted the University president gone and they got it. Seems he's the one who got bitchslapped and not me. But then again you probably also believe this was a paid protest to get Black people to come out and vote in 2016. Lmao! Maybe next time(if there is a next time) he'll listen when the students and faculty is trying to tell him something.

I wasn't directing anything at Danoleman.

I don't dispute that there is racial tension at the school. What I object to that the institutions that are supposed to encourage freedom of expression and discussion of ideas have been taken over by self-righteous twits who are trying to silence people.

And, again, I don't necessarily have a problem with the students pressuring the president to resign. It sounds like he was a dud.

It's the ensuing hysteria that followed that bothers me.

Some of you right-wingers should reconsider your antipathy for the ACLU:

"Racial epithets addressed to a specific person in a threatening or intimidating manner can be illegal, and may require action by police and/or university administrators. But, no governmental entity has the authority to broadly prohibit ‘hurtful’ speech — or even undefined ‘hateful’ speech, or to discipline against it."

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...police-asking-for-calls-about-hurtful-speech/

It's funny how the ACLU, once seen as the Far Left, now sounds like the voice of reason.

Professor resigns after being blasted by social media for stating that an exam will not be cancelled (in response to an email from a student about death threats):

http://www.stltoday.com/news/local/...cle_b8861af5-f05a-5b5e-8b80-b8b80c745cd0.html

This is turning into a tit-for-tat exchange. People need to learn to communicate without constantly vilifying each other.
But the prof who called for muscle to remove a reporter from a public space is still on payroll.

And LMAO at the notion this guy is "racist" (THERE'S THAT WORD AGAIN!) because he didn't cancel the exam. Misguided? Sure. Wreckless? Possibly. Inconsiderate? Maybe. Guy had been there 20 years apparently without incident, but now he's racist.

I'm going to say this and I'll soon leave this thread also because now it's full of paranoia and foolishness. I read that the professor was labeled a racist on social media. I mean seriously, what the heck is that?? Social media labels anyone whatever they want because it's full of trolls who I'm sure are having the time of their life right now. He's not racist, but he sure is an idiot. With all of the uncertainty and threats that may or may not be true, it's a good thing to just have a couple of days to let things calm down. Forcing students to come to class when this just happened and threats are everywhere, real or perceived, is just not smart at all. Mizzou will heal soon, we'll see if what the students, the faculty, the Players, the coaches and the AD wanted will turn this into a positive. We can only hope.

I wonder how many Brown students voted in the last Presidential election and what candidates/party affiliation they voted for. I would wager minimum 75/25 D to R. I would further that with regard to faculty and admin that the ratio is even more heavily weighted in the D favor. I wonder if these pretentious twits even realize who they are labeling as racist and colonialist.

And their comments regarding free speech are disconcerting and on some level terrifying......although I can't say completely surprising.

You media whores crack me up. FB, Twitter, nobody cares what you are doing. You are legends in your own mind. LOL!!!!! You were all for him being sacked without due process but now you are backpeddling. My oh my..........douchebags in glass houses should not have security cams.

Did you even read the freaking article.

He did not force them, he implored them to show up.

Those who would have chosen not to were going to be able to take it later WITHOUT PENALTY.

At least try to be accurate.

Dadoucheman is repping his school in a bad way. Goldie has already bitch slapped him in a subtle way, he needs to go quietly into the night. He's a hypocrite exponentially, one of Winston's greatest enablers back in the day. That's the part that is disgusting, if it doesn't benefit a a nole starter, his progressive douchebag agenda is way out in front of him.

Igloo........slapaho here for us. ;)

You're still posting drunken rambling nonsense?? I thought I told you to go to bed and sober up.

Did you forget where you are? Dadouchenozzle.

Lmao!! Dude you know what! I'll stop before Passover ban me again. Take care and everyone in this thread keep posting. It's very enlightening reading you guys thoughts on this. Have fun and post away. I might or might not respond again but I know I'll be reading.

Typical crap from the poster accused of not even going to college. That part I don't know. The part I do know if you had an education it was wasted. If you graduated from the SOW, let the chips fall where they may. You are yet another "low information voter" as well as a dumbass troll on a board you aren't welcome on.

Sounds like you are used to being put in the corner on a stool with the duncecap on. Not shocking by any means.

Nah, that's just the whole blind squirrel deal....99% of the time they don't give a chit about liberty, just left wing agendas.

"That’s not a statement vouching for the purity of Columbia. It’s rational, mature acknowledgment that there are not, never have been and never will be any safe spaces on earth free of rude, uncomfortable behavior by humans. We’re flawed. We do dumb shit"

This is exactly what I tried to tell danoleman earlier in this thread. These kids should be in college to learn how to deal in an imperfect world and in doing so make the world a better place.

Just look at these Black troublemakers on this picture stirring up trouble and playing the race card!
