Correction - total deaths are 99% of expected. Your chart is meaningless without a source.

Those numbers aren’t current. There is a lag in reported numbers, as stated in the notes. That’s why it’s called provisional.

The point is that people on their deathbeds from other ailments who test positive for Covid (or are merely suspected of having Covid) are being counted as Covid deaths and that is a farce.
My analogy, which I will spell out for you, is that people with AIDS often die of pneumonia...but no reasonable person would name pneumonia as the cause of death.

If Covid was the catalyst, even if they already had other symptoms, say asthma, then it most certainly is. You can’t just assume those people were going to die soon anyway. It’s the same way it’s always been with flu, and other virus deaths. So now you want to change it.

I have no idea how they measure those deaths. I assume it’s because AiDS led to the pneumonia. They also list Covid and Pneumonia deaths separately. All I know is they haven’t changed their methodology and it’s consistent around the world. But you somehow think they are picking on Trump. You’re acting like a defensive little child who’s getting blamed for something.
