Great win for BB. This lineup is something else. Really nice job by the pitching to settle down after some early struggling.

I think Gators have 4 hitters as good as anyone in the country. And the rest of the lineup is real solid, like maybe top SEC hitters.

Based on what we've seen from the bullpen, we may need to score 10 per game to win.
Cade Fisher pitched a clean 7th, 8th & 9th innings last night. 9 up, 9 down on 30 pitches. Sully gave all his veterans an opportunity to show what they've got, but he's going to start settling on the guys he can rely on from the pen.

Sooners beat kentucky in softball 18-0 with the pitcher we tried to get from michigan throwing a no hitter, everyone else is playing for second.

Baseball bullpen falls apart as Miami scored 13 runs in the last 4 innings to come back from a 6-1 Gator lead and win 14-6. Lexie Delbrey threw a 1-hitter for UF softball as they run-ruled UAB 10-0.

The bullpen is terrible.

Hard to consider us a true top 20 team with this awful bullpen. SEC is absolutely loaded again this year with 7 teams that have legitimate shots at Omaha. We are going to get cooked if Sully can't figure this out come conference time.

In addition to complete bullpen collapse, the gators had bases loaded in the sixth no outs with Cags and Riopelle up and they didn’t score. Got to break the game open there. Even though the bullpen probably would have given it up anyway.

Eff the Canes! Nice back to back HR followed up by a triple then finished the game with a 10 run rule in the 8th.

It was actually bottom of the 7th with the score tied 6-6 when we got the bases loaded no outs. Cags hit into DP, Rivera walked and BT grounded out. But you're right. Fisher Jameson was on the mound for the top of the 8th, so it probably wouldn't have mattered.

Jameson has lost all 3 games, let him sit for awhile till he figures something out , maybe he is just no good

Great win today. Good series win. As far as the bullpen, I’m sure Sully will find the guys he trusts and it will calm down. I just hope it doesn’t cost us enough games where we end up not hosting a super.

Lordy. Good thing this team can score runs. Gators get the W 18-11. I would rather win 6-2 candidly. We got outhit tonight, but fortunately FAU pitchers were very generous and gave us 11 free passes. Our starter gave up 6 runs and then next guy up gave up 4 runs. I really thought that pitching depth would be the strength of this team, but it is absolutely a huge weakness. Is there anyone sitting over on the bench Sully can throw up on the bump??

As far as the Bullpen, it has been real bad, and it is concerning because we saw it last year as well. But I would say that so far, C. Fisher, Slater (until last night) and Neely have been pretty solid. Ficarotta and Purnell have given up too many runs, but the underlying numbers don't look terrible (whip and average against), so maybe with some more innings, their ERAs will calm down a bit. I would expect those guys are the ones Sully will lean on on weekends and in particular on SEC weekends. Herzog has looked decent in not very many innings.

I think mid-week we'll continue to see Sully try guys out. Hopefully by SEC play, we've got 5 or 6 guys we can depend on not to let the roof fall in on us. And a closer would be nice.

Consensus around the country is that the ball is juiced. Balls are flying out everywhere. I think Tennessee just gave up 11 runs mid-week.

Outstanding tonight! 2 hit a pretty good FAU team. Nicely done Nesbitt and Abner. I suspect we will see more of these two.

The Baseball team (12-3) hosts 2-10 Siena this weekend, while the softball team (15-3) hosts Mercer (6-14) & #24 Louisiana (14-8) Friday, then plays both of them again on Saturday, then Rutgers (16-4) at Noon on Sunday. All baseball and softball games are on SEC+.

Rylee Trlicek just tossed a no-hitter as Gator softball beat Mercer 8-0. After walking the leadoff batter, Trlicek was perfect the rest of the way as UF moved to 17-3 with a game against #24 Louisiana at 1:30. The offense pounded out 11 hits, led by Kendra Falby's 3-3 and Avery Goelz and Reagan Walsh's 2-2, with a 2-run HR from Pal Egan.

UF just got 3-hit by Louisiana and lost 1-0. Lexie Delbrey pitched well for the Gators, but our hitters never adjusted to their pitcher's rise ball and just kept popping up. We still haven't beaten a ranked team and it's clear that our gaudy team offensive stats are deceiving, as we've done nothing against the 3 ranked teams we've played - Oregon, UCLA, Louisiana. Didn't score against any of them.

Not surprised. It has been a staple of a Walton coached team to not be a good hitting team. We haven’t been a good hitting team in years. Ever since we lost our hitting coach a few years ago I think to Oklahoma. Walton hasn’t adjusted his offensive philosophy.
