This thing is over. 0-7 Texas Southern came in and ran us out of our own gym. It was never close in the second half. Appleby needed to sit, but instead he kept tuning the ball over or missing threes. Now we will see if this turns into a Mike White special and the team folds.

This is White’s 7th year. This is inexcusable. Mike White and his offense is just non existent.

Again, under White we've always been a poor shooting team. That's his MO. But we've been playing good D and rebounding, but tonight we've done neither. They've outrebounded us by 20
PATHETIC!!! Next game is Wednesday at home vs. North Florida in the regular SEC Network, then Sunday at 4:30 in Brooklyn, NY against Maryland. But tonight they outplayed us from beginning to end, winning 69-54. We got outrebounded 46-23. We shot 5-24 from the 3 point line and 7-16 from the foul line. They outscored us in the paint 42-26. We only had 10 assist, they had 15. We did turn them over 22 times, but just took too many bad shots and couldn't hit wide open shots all night. We were 1 and done over and over and they had 14 offensive rebounds. It was just a terrible performance against an 0-7 team that our homer announcers kept saying, "This isn't your typical 0-7 team." Yeah, but it's a team THE Florida Gators should beat every day of the week!!!
Maybe the worst loss in UF basketball history that I can think of. Favored by 23 and lose by 15.

If Abe Lincoln was the UF AD, I'm sure he wouldn't have signed Mike White to an extension that would cost $8 million plus to get rid of him. Abe Lincoln also wouldn't have tolerated losses to a rebuilding Okie team and an 0-7 Texas Southern team.

Much better effort tonight. UNF is a better opponent and we played with high energy from the start. Still can't shoot, but that's who we are. High energy, aggressive on D, force turnovers. UNF did outrebound us too.
It's just amazing to me how Gator teams from the last several years just can't shoot from the outside and miss so many easy looks at the rim. They did play well tonight, but it's a game they should win easily, which they did. Sunday vs. Maryland on a neutral court is a big game to me. They need to step up and show they are a contender this year.

The UF Women's basketball team improved to 9-3 today by demolishing a very good FSU team 69-55. Under their new coach, Kelly Rae Finley, who took over after the firing of Cam Neubauer, the Gator women have played very well so far and much better than any Gator women's BB team in recent memory.
Down 5 to Maryland (who comes losers of their last 3). Castleton in foul trouble so that has hurt. Felder keeping us in the game. Insta's boy forced into PT and goodness gracious he's absolutely awful. He got knocked down and it took him almost a full 30 seconds to get up. Need to keep it close and not let the lead balloon to double digits.
It's truly fascinating how clueless some of the dweebs here are....

Another telling game by this year's Gator edition. Should have won, but did just enough to lose to an inferior team that is in total organizational disarray. And for all of Castleton's upside, he still struggles against P5 schools.

He has no coaching ability at all, can't recruit, and he's only average, not up to the SEC or Gator standard.
He's already been given more than enough time, so if he doesn't win an SEC-C and at least make the Final-Four this season, they should just bite the bullet, pay off his buy out, and fire his butt.
Hiring someone else better than him should be quite easy for the AD to get done.

You're absolutely correct as always. That no talent White chump should have never been hired, and it would take a complete idiot to give him a raise and a contract extension. I'm glad they didn't do that, so now he can finally be fired and run outta town on a rail, and I wouldn't wait until another failed season is over to do it.....
