1,000 Yard Rusher / Receiver...

insta is so dumb that he thinks that UF has 5 'elite' RB's on the roster....

McElwain said the RB's and receivers have been the most competitive position groups in camp (2017)
.

For those that are unable to figure out what that means, it means this. IF Scarlett is such a great RB that he should be 'featured', then so are the ones that he is in competition with for carries, otherwise the position is not competitive. -- But if you don't agree with that, then it's just more coach-speak I guess.
==============

A back that can take over a game.

Scarlett 5.0 ypc -- Perine 4.6 ypc -- Thompson 4.4 ypc
(3.4 ypc was the RB standard because that will average a 1st down on 3 runs)

Like Perine having multiple 100+ rushing yard games as a tFr, with 17.9 yds/rec.
Like rsJr Thompson taking a dump-off pass 85 yards for a TD vs Iowa in a bowl game. That was the 2nd longest pass play TD in a bowl game in UF history.
And if either of them had been running behind an upper classman loaded OL, with a solid passing game to keep the defense honest, then how might they have done?

128 D1 Teams, but only 2 oozzzieee 'elite' RB's available (Dalvin Cook or Christian McCaffrey), so that's 126 other teams including UF that have to get by with chump-scrubs at RB.

"nobody outside of Gator Country probably even knows who our backs are, they aren't nationally recognized."

Absolutely correct, and that's why none of the Gator RB's got any offers from any other D1 teams...

A.Lemons **** - only a 4 star, so none of the rankers have ever hear of him.
Offers - AzSt, Ark, AU, UG, UK, UL, LSU, Mich, MsSt, Miz, Neb, SCa, VaT, WVa, etc. Early in the cycle, he was the FL HS #1 rated RB, so a total unknown.

M.Davis **** - only a 4 star, so none of the rankers have ever hear of him.
Offers - Az, UL, Mia, Miz, NC, Ore, VaT, WVa, - Dabo/Clemson tried to flip him late.
He only broke Clemson's Ray-Ray McCloud's HS rushing records, so he's a total unknown.

L.Perine **** - only a 4 star, so none of the rankers have ever hear of him.
Offers - nobody but UF, MsSt in SEC, except that Saban/Bama tried to flip him late.
Many schools looked, but he was so solid to UF that few bothered to make official offers. He was the Alabama 7A HS Back of the Year, so a total unknown.

M.Thompson **** or ***** - The #1 JuCo RB so totally unknown.
Offers - AzSt, ColoSt, Iowa, UL, Miz, (Iowa wishes they had gotten him I'm betting)

J.Scarlett **** - only a 4 star, so none of the rankers have ever hear of him.
Offers - UA, Clem, FSU, UGA, GaT, UL, Mia, MichSt, Neb, tOSU, SCa, Tn, WVa, Wis, etc.
Yet another non-elite, totally unknown at RB.....

Find me one successful team who does it that way. You cite the UF teams with Tebow but Tebow for all intents and purposes was our 'featured' back so idk how that is supposed to prove the point you're trying to make. There's always a bellcow even in a committee approach.

Hey idiot, if you could read you'd already know this....

UF 2010 - 2165 net yards, 4.3 ypc, 31 TD's (even without Tebow)
There were ZERO I,000+ yard runners.

Demps 551 yds
Rainey 366 yds
Burton 349 yds
Reed 328 yds
Gillislee 325 yds
------------------------
Moody 265 yds
Hines 152 yds
And 4 more with a few here & there yards.
There were 5 players with 300+ yards. (1,919)
2,168 or 1,919 both/either still exceed 1,777...

2007 Tebow 895 yards. Heisman
Committee without TT = 1,969 yards.
Combined Total 2,339 yards.

But this total chit-talker still thinks that he's the only one with any board cred, apparently because a circular dunny-goater like to swing on his jock....

First, your reading comprehension is very, very poor. I never stated Cook or McCaffrey were the ONLY two elite backs in the country, you asked for examples and I gave you two. You're just once again creating a bunch of dumb strawmen to argue. Second, we split carries that season precisely because we had no elite back to feature, which is the point your feeble mind can't seem to grasp.

And you realize that featured does not equal only correct? Yards aren't the sole determinant of who is featured either. How many carries did Tebow have individually as compared to the other backs on the team? Yea exactly.

In 2008 Tebow had 176 carries, the next closest back had 70
In 2009 Tebow had 217 rushing attempts, the next closest back had 99.

And UF went 26-2 over those two years with a national title. So there's your example of a championship winning team doing the exact opposite of what you say they must do. And before you stupidly make the point that other backs also had yards during those seasons, great, that doesn't make the statement that Tebow was the featured back any less true. The issue lies in the fact that you unsurprisingly don't know what 'featured' means. I would say you have shit for brains but that would be an insult to shit.

That Urban Meyer sure is dumb! Instead of giving Tebow 176 carries he should have given 4 lesser players 44 each in a committee because...potato!

That's so cherry picked that it's not even worth a response from me. Not that much of what you drivel out here ever is, judging by the ones that ever give you anything close to a competent response. So zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

How is that cherry picked?

Because it doesn't support your draconian thesis?

Seriously though, you don't see how funny this series of events is?

There once was a goater named dunny,
who was always trying to be funny.
But with his head up his butt,
and a load of beer in his gutt,
when it came to the girls he got nunny...

I have to admit, the reality you live in must be amusing.
