Winning

Immigration - down
Inflation - down

Stock market - good. Some killer dips in buying.

Putting Dems on ice for defending ridiculous-ish: see immmigration above. The LA Riots are ridiculous and typical.

Tariffs - I don't love them per se, but as Captain has asked, and he is right, "let's see how it plays out".

Additional co-investment in areas like Middle East - A+

Israel/Russia, etc. - harder, but Trump at least tried to get the easy stuff done, but Putin is a nationalist and Zelensky (somewhat to his credit) is defending his country.

Discipline/4DC - Trump 2.0 is pretty impressive. He's a different cat from the 1.0 version. The Elon spat - and I am (generally) an Elon fan, was on Elon. Bro took too much ketamine.

Biden debacle - read: Original Sin by Jake Tapper, so good. Karine Jean-Pierre? Can't make this stuff up.

Game Day Help

Thanks in advance for any help. I want to bring a customer of mine to the Texas game (4 tickets) this year and want to know what’s the best seats to try and find? I called the ticket office the other day and all the premium seats were sold out. I’ve never been to a game myself in the swamp so not sure where best to focus. Also, any other recommendations while we’re in town would be great, hotels, restaurants, places to visit, etc.

Thanks again!

Baseball Boser Highlights Trio of BA All-Americans with First-Career Nod

Third baseman Bobby Boser was named a Third Team All-American while Aidan King and Brendan Lawson collected Freshman All-America status.

GAINESVILLE, Fla.
– Baseball America unveiled its All-America Teams for the 2025 season on Friday, which included tabbing Florida star third baseman Bobby Boser as a Third Team All-American.

Earning All-America status for the first time in his career, Boser was joined by rookies Aidan King and Brendan Lawson on the Freshman All-America squad. King collected his third Freshman All-America nod of the summer while Lawson nabbed his second. Baseball America named three regular All-America Teams and one Freshman Team.

With Friday's announcement, Boser becomes the 62nd unique Gators All-American for a total of over 200 combined honors. Florida has now produced an All-American in 12-straight seasons, last failing to do so in 2013.

As the lone Gator to start all 61 games, Boser led Florida in at bats (238), hits (80), runs (72), RBI (67), total bases (146), home runs (18), stolen bases (19) and on-base percentage (.437). Finishing with a robust .336/.437/.613 batting line, Boser nearly became the second 20-homer/20-steal player in team history (Brad Wilkerson, 1998). His 21 multi-RBI games equated to over one-third of UF's contests while his six three-hit showings and 25 multi-hit games also paced the squad. The UF third baseman took home All-SEC Defensive Team honors while ranking top-10 in the SEC in runs (second), steals (fourth), RBI (sixth), hits (eighth), at bats (eighth) and total bases (eighth) during the regular season.

Setting a program record with four SEC weekly honors in 2025, King led Florida with a 2.58 ERA, .213 batting average against, 73 1/3 innings pitched and five quality starts. King delivered the lowest ERA by a Gator across a full season since Brady Singer in 2018 (2.55) while posting a 7-2 record, 1.11 WHIP, 9.7 K/9 and 3.4 strikeout-to-walk ratio. The SEC All-Freshman Team member was nearly untouchable across his final five starts, going 3-1 with a 0.94 ERA, .192 BAA and 29-to-10 K-to-BB ratio over 28 2/3 innings pitched.

Making the Freshman All-SEC Team alongside King, Lawson started 60 of 61 games while hitting .317/.417/.522 for a .939 OPS. The Canadian rookie totaled 10 homers, one triple, 14 doubles, 48 runs and eight steals while ranking second on the team with 61 RBI. Lawson also finished second on the roster with 15 multi-RBI contests and 23 multi-hit games while seeing action at first, second and third base.

Complete List of Florida's 2025 All-America Honors
3B Bobby Boser – Third Team All-American (Baseball America)
RHP Aidan King – First Team Freshman All-American (Baseball America, NCBWA, Perfect Game)
1NF Brendan Lawson – First Team Freshman All-American (Baseball America), Second Team Freshman All-Ame

New Story Friday Free-for-All: UPDATE with FNL Visitors to Keep an Eye On

Kids showing up late tonight or in the am will report at 9:30AM before they get the day started....I will have updates as the event is coming to a close around 2-3PM.

FNL Kids to Watch:

This will be a MUCH smaller FNL than we are used to seeing in years past. We might see the same number of actual kids, but as far as the ones to keep an eye on, it's a much smaller group of players. Here are a few kids to look out for this evening.

Ismael Camara 2027 Interior Offensive Lineman
Cameron Wagner 2027 Offensive Tackle
Joshua Sam Epelle 2027 Offensive Tackle
Cooper Hackett 2027 Offensive Tackle
De Marrion Johnson 2027 Offensive Tackle
Jayden Dean 2027 Interior Offensive Lineman
Mark Matthews 2027 Offensive Tackle
Zayden Gamble 2027 Cornerback
Julian Elzey 2027 Safety
Austin Coles 2027 Tight End

Napier constantly slow out the gates in recruiting...why?

I looked at at Tx, Organ, Oh st, Ga, Bama and all have 5 or better committed guys who are all studs. Why are we always behind the 8 ball playing catch-up? Miami getting guys, a stud OT. If ur a stud OT wouldn't you want to block for DJ?. Why can't we get our fair share of early commits that are in the top 50. Ga, Bama, Tx oh st Organ and Miami seem to have no problem doing it.

It just has to be concerning because pulling a rabbit out of the hat in the 12th hour isnt a good receipe to follow if ya want to beat the schools like Tx, Ga, Oh st consistently. How many of the top 150 or so are already committed. It would be nice to see Florida mentioned multiple times on the first page of elite recruits rather than Ga Ga Ga, Oh St Oh St Tx Tx Tx.

Basketball Florida Learns SEC Opponent Assignments

The Gators host seven 2025 NCAA Tournament teams on their upcoming SEC home slate
UF Release

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -
Florida learned its Southeastern Conference opponent home and away designations for the 2025-26 season, the SEC announced on Wednesday.

In addition to the Gators' annual permanent home and away series with Georgia and South Carolina under the current scheduling format, Florida will also have two matchups vs. Kentucky as its rotational two-game series.

Home and away: Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina
Home only: Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, LSU, Mississippi State, Tennessee
Away only: Ole Miss, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt

Seven of Florida's nine home SEC opponents competed in the 2025 NCAA Tournament. The Gators will play Texas on the road for the first time since 1997, while Florida visits Oklahoma for the third time (Jan. 2017, Dec. 2021) but the first in SEC play. With Kentucky assigned as UF's rotating two-game series, Tennessee rotates off and the Gators will host the lone regular season meeting this season vs. the Vols.

In addition to the SEC slate ahead, UF has already announced a visit to Duke (ACC-SEC Challenge), neutral site games vs. Arizona (Las Vegas), UConn (New York) and a Thanksgiving tournament field of Providence, TCU and Wisconsin (San Diego), in addition to hosting Florida State in the annual rivalry.

New Story Wide Open Wednesday: The Choice is Yours (6/4)

Wide Open Wednesday: The Choice is Yours (6/4)

Today is Wednesday, and you know what that means. It's time for another round of Wide Open Wednesday, where you decide where the topic of conversation goes (No Politics/Religion).

Are you feeling more comfortable with where things are in recruiting? Don't look now, but it appears lady luck is turning this in the direction of the Gators. Even players I don't believe will end up at Florida, such as Jireh Edwards (at UF on his official visit today), are giving the Gators a real look. He is the No. 1 Safety in America, according to Rivals.

Here is what I am asking you:

The one that got away -
Most Underrated -
Stone Cold Lock -

I have received numerous messages about the recent shows and movies I've watched, so here are two more.

Sinners/Movie:
Trying to leave their troubled lives behind, the twin brothers return to their Mississippi hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back. I can't give this a thumbs up or down, but it is something to pass the time.

Shadow Force/Movie
An estranged couple with a bounty on their heads must go on the run with their son to avoid their former employer, a unit of shadow ops that has been sent to kill them. I enjoyed this more than Sinners, but again, eh. The best thing about this was the cast, which included Kerry Washington, Omar Sy, Mark Strong, and Method Man - you will recognize all of them.

Mobland - Season Finale - Clearly, I can't discuss this, but it was insane, and I believe it's one of the best shows on TV; end of discussion.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps is scheduled to be released in the United States on July 25, 2025, as the first film in Phase Six of the MCU
Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch and the Thing face their most daunting challenge yet as they defend Earth from Galactus and Silver Surfer. I have mixed emotions about this, but I suppose I'll give it a shot.

NBA FINALS THURSDAY, JUNE 5th Game One:
Game One Indiana at Oklahoma City at 8:30 PM. The O/U is 231.5, and OKC is a 9.5 Favorite. Give me the Pacers and the points, and I have no interest in the total for Game One.

FIGHT NIGHT:
UFC 316: Dvalishvili vs. O'Malley 2
June 7, 2025
Prudential Center, Newark, NJ

Merab Dvalishvili 19-4-0 vs. Sean O'Malley 18-2-0.

How is this outcome going to be any different from the first outcome? Oh, I know - O'Malley said he would not dye his hair, and he made the enormous self-sacrifice of giving up weed during this training camp.

Julianna Peña 13-5-0 vs Kayla Harrison 18-1-0.

I'm not sure if any of you have had the pleasure of seeing Harrison fight before, but imagine the most physically imposing man you can think of with long hair and call him Kayla. That is NOT meant as a knock on her. She looks so mean and physical; I am literally worried about the well-being of Pena in this fight.

STANLEY CUP FINALS ARE SET:
Okay, Florida fans, how are you feeling heading into Game One in Edmonton tonight? Game time is 8:00 PM on TNT, with Edmonton as the favorites on home ice, which makes sense. I am interested in the O/U tonight of 6.5. Taking the under is like bleeding to death! You're pulling for each team to do nothing all game - a horrible way to watch a game, but I like the under tonight and the Oilers to win the series.

This is Madness:
In what world do we live in where the Detroit Tigers and Chicago Cubs have the two best records in Baseball? How do you feel about where your team sits heading into June?

Alligator Alcatraz

What a fantastic idea. Brilliant and perfect to temporarily house criminal illegals. ICE can pick them up and off they go. I love my Attorney General.

It could be up and running within just 60 DAYS and house up to 1,000 illegals. "This is an old, virtually abandoned airport facility right in the middle of the Everglades. Florida's been leading on immigration enforcement, supporting the Trump administration and ICE efforts to detain and deport criminal aliens.""The governor tasked state leaders to identify places for new temporary detention facilities. I think this is the best one.""Alligator Alcatraz. We're ready to go"

TN letting their QB leave instead of paying NIL demands for him...

I agree with most TN fans here. In his 2nd year on the team and as their new starter they won based mostly on things other than his play. He certainly didn't look like one of the better QBs in college to me when I did watch them. Curious if any other team gives him more than TN was willing to give him. I think some of these NIL agents are going to end up screwing their clients. Not sure who else they have though.
