I don't think wanting to change our country means they hate it. That is always a weak defense to argue against changes.
I know I said this previously but I will say this again. When people fought for women rights, they were labeled as people who hates this country, when they fought to end slavery, they were labeled as people who hate this country, etc.
You do understand that when these "institutions" were created there was zero input from women and minorities? So course there will be some people from that fashion that think that we should "improve" it.
The constitution actually allows for change with "amendments" because the founding fathers believed that change should be allowed.
- Defund the police
- Equity (not equality)
- Abolish ICE, open the borders and grant amnesty
- CRT
- Post-birth abortion
- Repeal the 2A
- Infringe on the 1A when your political opponents say things that you don't like
- The weaponization of three letter agencies - from the IRS targeting Tea Party 501c3's to the Biden DOJ calling MAGA patriots "violent extremists" (a year after violent left wing rioters destroyed cities for an entire Summer)
- Abolishment of the EC, moving to a popular vote
- Mass mail in voting with no signature verification, abolishing voter ID laws, refusing to maintain voting rolls, voting registration upon issuance of a DL (motor voter laws), allowing non-citizens to vote in local elections, etc.
- Attempting to make DC, Puerto Rico states to gain Senate and House seats
I'm sorry, but this is just a quick list off the top of my head. Leftists want to tear down every basic tenet of America to reframe it in a image that gives them true power over all institutions. They promise utopia if you'll just give them this power and make changes like these.
And yes, Amending the Constitution is a built in method for evolving it but do you know what it takes to pass and enact a Constitutional Amendment? Do you understand why the FF's made it so hard?
Lastly, GTFO with "minorities and women" had no say...while that's true in the beginning everyone has had tremendous "say". We elected a black man to be president twice. We have a black female VP. Congress and the House have have minority and female members for decades, as have local govt's. All you want to do is go back to the original sin and act like there's been no progress in hundreds of years...which is exactly how someone who hates the country thinks.
