When even Pelosi and Warren say ban Russian oil, why won't Biden?

The green new deal is a AOC thing. Its funny how much you care about her ideas. We do need to get away from foreign oil and also find other sources for energy. We can do both.
Just exactly WHERE in my post did I state that I care about her ideas ?

I like you for the most part Kalim, I’ve always treated you and everybody else on the boards I belong to with respect, but do yourself a favor and do not attempt to put words in my mouth or assume any kind of “meaning” about what I post.

If you‘re curious about something I posted as to its meaning then just ask, I’ll be more than happy to oblige.

And let’s just leave it at that.

That is an outright lie. Read link below. The reason new drilling is shut down, and the war on fossil fuels is BECAUSE of the far left, that Brandon PROMISED to drive up prices to make us buy less. A HUGE majority of the looney left supports that, and every one of you(all 50-55 million of you) that actually voted for Brandon are responsible for these unamerican policies

That really needed a spoiler warning.

You said "Their new green deal means adding as much new “green” to their wallets and forcing us, the American people, to have to deal with it." The green new deal is AOC, hence why I said what I said.

See, @BSC911? When you have actually accomplished things in life, you don't feel the need to run to the internet and lie.

And if I recall, you once said you would leave the board if you were ever caught lying here.

Was that 20 or 30 lies ago? @BillCutting4585 @jfegaly do we know?
I’ve lost count to be honest. It’s fun to bust him up whenever, have him accuse me of stalking him but stalk @Sunburnt Indian on every post he posts in.

@BSC911 is the equivalent of a true dem, accuse others of what they’re actually doing

🤡 show

See above...
So what happened, OPEC cut supply and is now finding It difficult to bring back online. I went to an oilfield seminar yesterday that pretty much says OPEC is producing all they can.

You nonoilfield guys seem to think you can just increase production at the drop of a hat. Nope. Once you lay down the rigs, fire the employees, and eliminate all of the infrastructure, it takes time to rebuild all that. Not just in the US but worldwide.

So, yeah, Trump contributed to the problem we are facing today.

The answer that you're struggling with...

"Oil was trading for about $30-40/bbl."

It was that low because the Saudis and Russians were screwing with one another and both were trying to put American frackers out of business. You either didn't know that or you were being intellectually dishonest.

FWIW, my money is on intellectually dishonest.

Nope. I love it when nubes try to explain the oil and gas business to me. That was in April 2020, when the world was shut down. I seem to recall something about a pandemic.

So in March 2019 Trump tells the Saudis to pump more oil because gas prices are too high. Then in April 2020 he tells them to cut production because prices are too low., Gee, what could go wrong.

And you want government to get more involved?

Let's try again.

What was oil trading for when Trump asked OPEC to cut production?

You are a partisan turd. Even if you do actually know what you claim to know, you will lie and spin your azz off to protect a party and the POTATUS.

His knowledge on any topic is constrained by the first page of Google results for said topic. 90% of the time you can actually do a cut and paste search for his replies and you will find he verbatim took his reply from an article on the web.

It's so sad.

We’ll I don’t know what it was trading for on that exact day but it hit negative prices around that time. But you said it was due to OPEC and Russia flooding the market. I corrected you and said it was because of the supply disruptions, and reminded you that Trump had asked OPEC to INCREASE production just a year before.

Im not defending the POTUS. I’ve said many times he’s no friend to our industry. I only correct the amount of misinformation that goes on in here because people get their info from partisan sites, or Ted Cruz. I get my info from the companies I work with and actual industry experts. That pisses you Righty partisans off, who want to make EVERYTHING political.

But you said it was due to OPEC and Russia flooding the market. I corrected you and said it was because of the supply disruptions

LOL...

If you are the boards O&G expert, well our cluelessness on the subject can be explained.

And more...

The Covid-19 crisis not the cause of these fiascoes, but it is the context. The impact of these unforced errors is amplified by the general economic distress. However, there is also a Covid-related “upside” here: clarity. The crisis exposes the folly of these decisions much more quickly than the normal unfolding of events might have done.

We’ll examine here the first of these aberrations: the smash-up in the energy market.

The Saudi/Russian Oil Price War
A quick bit of history. Russia, Saudi Arabia and the United States have been the three largest oil producers for some time. The U.S. in recent years has played the role of the disrupter. “Shale” oil extraction technology helped drive the price of crude down from over $100/barrel in 2014 to under $30/barrel in 2016. This spurred Russia (and its oil allies) to make a deal with Saudi Arabia (and OPEC) to “manage” the price of oil, mainly by cutting production up to 2 million barrels a day (about 2% of world production). This informal alliance that became known as OPEC+.

Yeah, because of the pandemic. Did you even read that?

“The price war erupted between Saudi Arabia and Russia in early March, when Riyadh failed to persuade Moscow that deep supply cutbacks were needed to deal with the loss of demand from the pandemic.”

Yes I read it. That is how I know you're being dishonest again.

It's fine man, you clearly don't have what it takes to say, "you're right and I was wrong." You'd rather spin, twist and lie about it and pretend as though not everyone can see through your BS.

Just ftr, this is why I very rarely waste my time with you.

Picking on BScuck is immoral, it's like making fun of one of Jerry's kids. But it's soooo fun. 😂

Do I need to bold the part that says to deal with with the loss in denad from the pandemic

Point proven. That’s why you don’t like debating me

Lol...I actually already put in bold this comment from Forbes you dolt.

Again, I get it...you don't have what it takes to admit that you were wrong.

So you said a thing didn't happen, then you turn around and admit that thing happened...but argue about WHY it happened?

What happened here was you were wrong. Amazingly, you even pointed it out for all to see, and you were the only one that missed it.

I swear we have the dumbest trolls on the internet.

Remember not only did he VOTE for Brandon..he is STILL trying to defend him. At least the smarter snowflakes bailed and went in to hiding. Bsuck is the 3 yr old who puts a table knife in the 110v outlet and gets shocked...and when he wakes up...does it again, and again and again!
