When even Pelosi and Warren say ban Russian oil, why won't Biden?

One of my favorites from Brandon? Oil companies have 9000 drilling permits. They can drill all they want.

Hey , Brandon. Most geologists believe those 9000 permits you agreed on have nothing for oil companies to drill for.

What an idiot. How many geologists have you talked to. Why would companies be asking for drilling permits if there was nothing to drill for.

Let me guess, you heard something on Fox and then are trying to repeat it here. Remember, it’s better to keep your mouth shut and let people guess you are a fool than to open it and have it confirmed.

Ever heard the Mark Levin show? Mr. Levin is a little bit smarter than you, as is BamaFan1137.

Deferring again, huh? Can’t stand on your own.

I knew it. Sorry, but Mark Levin, whoever he is, doesn’t know squat about the oil business. You are so easily manipulated by hucksters. How have you survived this long.

Just answer the question, fakeMensa dude, why would they apply for a drilling permit if there was nothing to drill for?

Not sure banning importation of Russian oil will move the needle much. Russia will just sell their oil to the oil cartels, rebrand it as "Country X", and sell it on the global market. Best case is Russia won't get top dollar for their oil, but it will still get consumed, and Russia will still get paid.
Wow, maybe I should become a Yahoo energy contributor. 😂

Biden's Russian oil ban won't stop petrodollars from flowing into dark crude supplies

The move sent WTI crude oil futures (CL=F) surging 4.3% to settle at $123.70 — the highest closing price since 2008. But even as more nations join the U.S. to participate in the blockade of Russia's largest export, so-called "dark supplies" of Russian oil and gas will still flow to the rest of the world in shadow markets, warns one veteran energy trader.

"[W]hat you're looking at is an oil market that goes into the dark shadows if it gets banned," Energy Word founder Dan Dicker told Yahoo Finance Live. "That has a significant effect on the Russian economy, but it doesn't really have a big effect on supplies."

Dicker added that banned supplies almost always find its way to a destination — albeit often at deeply discounted prices and via off-market energy transactions.

Call me Navstrodomus. 😂

My San Antonio oil buddy tells me permits are applied for regularly. Inspections are made. Geographical areas are regularly rejected for any consideration for drilling a hole. My buddy tells me even the board's slowest should have a clue. You, of course, don't.

Fox Business, Mark Levin and NavigatorII know infinitely more about US energy than you. You keep proving it to us.

So they apply for drilling permits even though they don’t want to drill. What a bunch of idiot friends you must have. Either that or you misunderstood. Again.

And nope, no they don’t. But at least they have you fooled. Which isn’t difficult. Navigator couldn’t even pass the CPA exam. He’s like a bookkeeper. This is why when you listen to fools, you sound foolish.

As we have so often demonstrated, my getting through to you is completely beyond my reach.

A year ago we were energy independent, today we are not. A year ago I paid $1.74 for regular. Today $3.69. Thank you, Brandon.

We’ve never been energy independent. Another fallacy. If that were true , why were we still importing oil from other countries.

Please, please, just once say something less than stupid regarding oil and gas. I beg you. You are embarrassing us other Texans.

Updated Mar. 8, 2022. One hundred forty lies and counting.

More than one year into President Joe Biden’s time in the White House and the end to his lies is nowhere in sight. Here is part three of The Federalist’s rigorous coverage keeping the Biden administration accountable with substantive fact-checking throughout the president’s tenure.

Biden Denies Cutting Off Domestic Oil Production

Shortly after he announced Russian oil would no longer be imported into the U.S., Biden claimed that he never stifled the U.S. oil and gas industry.

“It’s simply not true that my administration or policies are holding back domestic energy production. That is simply not true,” Biden insisted.

The truth is, Biden has done nothing but sabotage the U.S. oil and gas industry and replaced it with his green energy policy agenda. The president used his first year in office to wreck domestic production by suspending oil and gas leases, axing projects such as the Keystone XL pipeline on his first day in office, canceling Arctic drilling leases, and pushing a cascade of taxes and regulation on the industry.

Yes you are. It was other conservatives like you that shared my thinking. SO you're wrong about the liberal thinking. Maybe, just maybe it was free/self thinking. Since you get your point of view from conservative TV, you wouldn't know what that is.

I am aware that the president doesn't have impact on gas prices, so i wasn't complaining. BEFORE you think, i am just defending Biden, I said the same thing about Trump. I am not a blame the president about everything person. I actually look to see if it is really the presidents fault.

Just don't complain about the prices, can't have it both ways BUT i see that alot of guys will.
What?

And you do realize I'm not asking for anything but if you don't think a President who runs on the elimination of fossil fuels has no affect on OPEC and oil futures I don't know what to say. He's increased regulation, ended subsidies, cancelled a project that could eliminate a pipeline bottleneck and cancelled leases in Alaska (and tried to ban new drilling on Federal land). He's 100% had an effect on gas prices, they were skyrocketing before Putin invaded Ukraine.

The proof is in the numbers - we produced more oil in 2020 (when demand was dramatically reduced) than we did in 2021 (when demand came roaring back). That's a result of his policies and that does affect prices.

Yes, it's a global market, but if you don't think the largest economy in the world, and the largest oil producer in the world, has zero effect on that market you're not very analytical or logical. But as a liberal that appears to be a prerequisite.

Wrong. A president has some influence, but actually very little. We are producing almost as much as before. The reductions are all from OPEC and Russia. Biden is sure doing a horrible job of getting rid of fossil fuels.

If Trump were so great, why didn’t he complete Keystone and drill in Alaska? He had 4 years.

Well its not liberal views. Plenty of conservatives think the same way. Not everything is that simple.

People like you tend to think it's so simple. Now I ask you, did any gas company CEO say that if those things happened then prices would go down?

I think he only runs if Trump runs again. Gas was just as high under Bush, Obama was the president that got it down. You are making little sense.
Not a Bush fan here...HATE Hussein, and Brandon is just as bad(oh, I guess I am not a racist for hating Hussein anymore) And there is ZERO chance that human vegetable runs for President...in fact there is a MUCH, MUCH better chance that he does not see the end of his term. Dims will turn on him in a split second...and it WILL happen. He is the epitome of a failure....and always has been.

LOL. You. are talking to a guy that couldn’t even pass the CPA exam.

I get that but has any oil company actually said that is why prices are high and/or more drilling will lead to lower prices? Or is it an assumption? That's why I asked about direct correlation.
As we have posted by many graphs...gas is controlled by what the future looks like concerning availability and demand. When Brandon declared war on the fossil fuel industry....oil, and other fossil fuels have STEADILY climbed since 1/20/21. And we will not see prices go down until Trump gets back in office in 2024. And when that happens...prices will drop just as fast as they have risen.

See, @BSC911? When you have actually accomplished things in life, you don't feel the need to run to the internet and lie.

And if I recall, you once said you would leave the board if you were ever caught lying here.

Was that 20 or 30 lies ago? @BillCutting4585 @jfegaly do we know?

Even though I'm not against the Keystone pipeline. People who think the Keystone pipeline will produce more gas is misinformed. The Keystone pipeline will only help gas get from Canada to the US faster but the amount of gas won't change.
You do realize the Keystone pipeline wasn’t being built to bring in gas right ?

Ask yourself, if a president knew gas prices would ruin his/her presidency, do you think any of them would allow it to get that high? I am sure every president would LOVE to set limits, like no higher than $2.30, etc.
Ask yourself, do you think this current president really even cares ?

I’ll go one further, do you think Congress (both branches) really even care ?

No, they do not care about the American people, all they care about is pushing their agenda as far as they can in order to keep their pockets and bank accounts lined with Bennies.

Their new green deal means adding as much new “green” to their wallets and forcing us, the American people, to have to deal with it.

That's not what I am saying. I am saying that people are incorrect to associate the pipeline to gas prices.
You seemed to conveniently leave out the word “prices” in your post.

With that being said, the two things that would immediately lower gas prices are rescinding the government gas tax (or whatever the term is) of .18 cents per gallon and ending the asinine addition of ethanol to every gallon.

Those two things would probably not drastically reduce the prices at the pump but they would be a great place to start.

I‘m not even thinking about the Keystone pipeline simply because Robinette will NEVER reverse course on it.
What we are able to produce now as a nation is what we are able to produce given the current political situation we are in, the only way we start producing more as a nation sadly falls on November 2024.

The green new deal is a AOC thing. Its funny how much you care about her ideas. We do need to get away from foreign oil and also find other sources for energy. We can do both.
