I mean, you guys can read the Bible and be privy to God's thoughts too. And if you read and still aren't understanding, you can pray to God to give you understanding.
I do it every day.
I would argue that no one 100% understands the Bible. So if anyone who doesn't understand is lost, then we are all 'lost' to one degree or another.
So no one here has all the answers. But everyone here has the OPPORTUNITY to put their pride and jealousy aside, and accept that they need God's help.
It's up to each of us to decide what we want to do with that opportunity.
Agreed but I just got a great new Democrat policy on abortion from this peeing contest, they(Demoncrats) should revise their stance and call for no baby to be aborted until they have mailed in their absentee ballot. The Democrats will love this thought.
But there are many issues where reasonable people have different interpretations of what the Bible is saying on various topics. You seem convinced that your personal interpretation is the authoritative God-approved interpretation.

On certain issues, the Bible is quite clear. For instance, the Bible is quite clear that homosexuality is a sin and is wrong. There are several scriptures in the Bible that make this clear, a good example is in Genesis when the men of Sodom wanted to have sex with the male Angels who came to visit the city, Lot told them to stop their WICKED actions.
This thread has gone sideways in the same manner that any thread where scripture does. Liberals get upset that others point out Biblical stances that clash with your political beliefs. And sadly, the liberals here seem to always default to what their politics state versus what the Bible says.
On some issues, the Bible isn't as clear and we can have a debate. For instance, how old is earth? The Bible isn't clear, which has led some to take the Bible literally and surmise the earth is only about 6,000 years old. Others go on man's interpretations and believe the earth is more like 6 billion years old.
I am undecided, but the more I learn, the more I lean toward the earth being 6,000 years old. What's your stance on the age of the planet?
Do they not understand the Ten Commandments? I pretty much had those down by age 3.

Sorry, most modern and ancient scholars (including Eusebius) don’t believe John the apostle wrote it, for many reasons, especially since it was written after his death.
The Quran was also “inspired by God.” As is every religious book. That’s a bunch of horse hockey. Anyone can call themself a prophet

Yeah, so? Just because some old people included it doesn’t make it true. It doesn’t mesh with the Gospels. The Books of the Bible should be taken individually, based on their authorship. It’s not like it was written all at once by the same dude. It’s a compilation of various authors, most of which are unknown.
