You cannot state someone said the word riots/rioters when they said protest/protesters. If I'm at a baseball game and you call it a wrestling match, I simply say you're as ridiculous as your claim that Harris said rioters. to put another way. If during the capital (riots), Trump said “the peaceful protests will not, and should not stop”, how would you react? You see, you cannot call it something that it isn’t and just have everyone go.....I know that I am at a baseball game, but Kamala said it’s a wrestling match, so it must be a wrestling match.

When a DA and a jury have months to ponder a question that the officer had milliseconds to respond to....the advantage doesn't go to the officer.

Also, that tough call was mine and the others there with me. It wasn't my only one...just one that popped into my head as I responded.
That particular bad guy broke a female cops jaw about a year before that incident and was out on bond. The warrant we were serving was for him not showing up for court.
He broke her jaw while she fought to prevent him from pulling her gun out of her holster. She had both hands on the gun...so he pummeled her face when she wouldn't let go.

We didn't. Luckily, because he was so dangerous and because we were prepared (funded), he was hit with a bean bag round and a taser almost simultaneously.
That moment has haunted me. I didn't shoot him. It worked out...because he was armed with a tiny folding knife. But what if it had been a gun? Would my hesitation have cost someone their life? If I had fired, would that have cost me my freedom? Probably not...but what about my job and reputation?
The bottom line, if he had died that day, in my heart I 100% know that he would have been fully responsible for his death. But I may still have paid a price.

That's an easy quote. But someone has to do that job. The statement that you just made makes that job more difficult (that's the risk you take).
The risk i take is perhaps not making it home. The other risks...losing my freedom, my job, my reputation because of the horrible decisions that this guy made are unacceptable. People, more to the point good and smart people, will not want to do this job anymore and your world will be less safe as a result.

When you take the job, you know the risks. Yes, no different than joining the military.
Your safety is no more, or less, important than the safety of the citizens you are paid to protect.
