Covid-19 hospitalizations in Florida have reached a record high, federal data show, as the state battles a surge in cases brought on by the highly contagious Delta variant
There were 11,515 confirmed Covid-19 hospitalizations in the state, according to data released Tuesday by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
The Delta-driven surge has hit a younger population than prior surges while filling hospital beds at a rapid clip, according to the Florida Hospital Association, which represents health centers in the state. The number of Covid-19 hospitalizations in Florida jumped from 2,000 to 10,000 in 30 days during this current surge, double the pace seen last summer, said Mary Mayhew, the association’s chief executive.
“This is putting 25-year-olds in the hospital, in intensive care and on ventilators,” Ms. Mayhew said.
She said the Delta surge is also coinciding with a surge in hospital visits for other reasons, including other respiratory infections and a catch-up effect from delayed care during the pandemic, adding to pressure on hospitals. She also noted that more than 90% of the people hospitalized for Covid-19 aren’t vaccinated.

I'll ask again: How are covid cases increasing at the same time that the number of vaccinated are increasing?
The number of unvaccinated continues to decline, while the number of covid cases increases.
Only two possibilities:
1 - Vaccines aren't working. If they aren't working, why is everyone forcing them on us?
2 - Vaccines are turning the vaccinated into carriers and spreaders to the unvaccinated.
It has to be one or the other. It might be BOTH.

Probably number 2 and also that the virus is spreading more quickly among the non vaxxed this time as it is 4x more contagious that the original. As to number 1 you like semantics. This not much different from Flu vaccines in that you can still get a mild case of it since there are so many variants. So people call it the flu shot. Call this the covid shot(s) since the "vaccine" isnt 100% preventive.
I oppose mandates.
I have had JnJ and my wife Pfizer. My daughter had covid and is not looking to vaccinate. My son is 14 and we will not really discuss it much until JnJ is available for his age group. I held out for JnJ as I am not sold on the long term effects of mRNA tech. My wife is in the health field and took Pfizer because it was best available at the time.
Novavax uses nano tech and I would need to be informed on what the particles are made of, if they biodegrade, and etc.
