The one thing I like about Desantis the most

Speaking of sniffing....you still haven’t denied your affinity for being a cockholster. Your ignorance is amusing though.

And hell yes. MAGA. Best President in my lifetime. Only one who said what he meant, and did what he said. Biden is a cuck, with dementia that has been swindling America for almost 50 years.

Again, it’s probably best for you to go into timeout for a bit and shut your cockholster. Adults are conversing.
Dems like @Mdfgator loves them some Hiden.

Well they better learn to love eating with chopsticks and sleeping on concrete, cause that's where Hiden is taking us.

Thank goodness he doesn't Mean Tweet, tho. Makes it all worthwhile cc @grandhavendiddy

Ok, that's funny.

You know, I think if we were at a Gator game together, we might not agree on all elements of politics, but we enjoy some cold beers and would have a big time.

The scary part is you think we can just forget about all this 'politics' stuff and just enjoy a college football game together.

If you haven't noticed, it's been 2 years since that was reality. We are told there will be full stadiums this fall. As we learned last year, that will only happen if the dems allow it.

They are our masters now. Soon, the Chinese will be.

So yeah, we can sit back and do nothing about that, just enjoy a nice college football game till we are taken off to the gulag.

I bet Trump can't Mean Tweet us in the gulag. Life won't be so bad...

.....and there it is. You answered my other question.

You did miss it.

Ultimately, this is a Gator board and not a Political board. It means that we put things aside and enjoy the Gators.
I do think with my head, a lot. I won't go into my position, firm, or clients that I work / industries, but a "bleeding heart liberal" would be the last description that most people would give to. Fair, intelligent and balanced. I apply intuition, weigh the facts and update my views all the time.

The past two years, China aside, did highlight a number of things for me that we can do better as a country. It may mean earning a bit less and taking care of our working class brothers and sisters, of all backgrounds, better.

It does not mean, at all, the GND, open borders, massive stimulus checks, etc. It is not virtue signaling. The data suggests, for example, perhaps tragically, that Head Start programs do not work. Teacher unions have set back black and brown communities significantly this year. One could argue, very successfully, that Derek Chauvin was a failure of the police union (17 citations and still on the street). It does mean, re-entering the "heart" back into some of the discussions and do it in a balanced and most impactful way. Yes. Police reform, opportunity zones, minimum wage increases, early child care credits, universal broadband paid for by increase taxes on corporations to 25%, capital gains taxes on those having a total AGI of $2M+ and even a wealth tax on those with a $1B above (implementation would be hard), are all meaningful steps. It also means treating people with respect. "S..hole countries", etc. is not useful rhetoric.

In respect, it means that despite the back and forth, if you said, "hey man, let's grab a beer and enjoy the gators", I would say simply, "sounds great man". That is respect.

Enjoy your Sunday. Go gators.

This is a Gator SITE. This particular board has no topic.

You are irrational in your hatred of Pres Trump. For reference, see the fact that you reference shithole countries in every post you make.

If you could put aside your hate, people would converse with you more. Your hate tells me you deserve mockery and nothing more.

The data does not suggest that Head Start programs don't work. It shows very clearly that kids from disadvantaged homes that attend Head Start do better than kids from similar homes that do not. However, that advantage is lost by the 10th grade. Is that Head Start's fault, or is it the fault of the school system that had them for the 10 years AFTER Head Start?

PS: Don't hold your breath waiting for Gator game bonding with Ghost. He's a Roll Tider.

Interesting. David Brooks on PBS made that comment, but did not dissect the results. Good points. One would assume that Head Start would be effective even if very expensive.

I do think that a large issue in many of those communities is that lack of a two parent family. Best example of the power of this? Go watch the GQ segment with Terrence Marshall of LSU (after he was drafted) on how he spent his first $1M. He speaks eloquently that he could focus on football in HS because he had a strong parental influence through his mother and father. By grade 10, that would clearly provide headwinds.

As for Ghost being a Bama fan, that makes sense, but I will grab a beer with anyone. Maybe except for some Miami fans. After they beat us in 2013 (one of the worst games ever), my brother and i almost got in a fight for looking at a crew the wrong way. Knowing it would not have ended well, we apologized, congratulated the U, took the verbal abuse and drove off in our car down to our hotel in Brickell to enjoy some high end champagne and drown out a bad loss.

Not to be a Debbie Downer but Head Start has been around what, 40 years? I'm not seeing any positive results, just more plantation dwellers. LBJ's Great Society was nothing but a voting power grab. We ALL know LBJ's quote about who will be voting Democrat for the next 100 years. Where are we almost 60 years later? More polarized, if anything we are more divided than we were in the 70's. We just have more pajama boy cucks.......and that's about it.

I hear what you are saying, and the data says, “yes”.

Why is that?

They view CNN as a media outlet of record and not an organ of the Democratic Party. So when Trump says “s hole country”, “Muslim ban”, “illegals are murders and rapists”, CNN plasters that along with the MSM media, women start to wonder if they should vote for a perceived misognynst and rapist. When Trump tries to wish Covid away, say his musing on bleach and then say all will be well by Easter, when cases and deaths are rising, women forget that the corporate tax rate dropped to 20 percent and their or their husbands 401k went up by 200
More basis points.

For the tenth time, it just comes down to discipline for Trump. He could have just as effective and said none of the above. Pocahontas wasn’t his issue, that was poignant and funny. China Virus is provocative but accurate. Kung Flu gets him pointed as a racist. That’s a lack of discipline.

all good man. Remember, hoping for DeSantis and Scott in 2024.
If one was going to focus on something Trump said that was dumb then, imo, the worst thing was to encourage or direct his supporters at the rally on Jan 6 to go protest at Legislature building. I said immediately when I heard him encourage those folks to protest that that was "stupid". I immediately sensed that nothing good will come from that. However, if people let the other things you cite influence their vote then they are pretty ignorant and I don't believe they are well educated, but that is just me.

Certainly not Head Start’s fault per se. The school system gets credit for a portion of the blame, but for the most part it’s the home life of the child in question that determines the child’s success or failure in school and in life after school.

Personal responsibility? C'mon now...what good could come from that?

DeSantis standing up for Jews. Starting to see why the dems hate him. The honest people of Florida seem to love him for it, though.

Standing ovation for the guy standing up for the truth and justice! Man that's got to eat the dems alive ! LMAO!
He dunked on the reporter. Whether one likes or hates Trump, that should not have been an indefinite deplatform from a tech oligopoly.

Though our resident libtards here will disagree, DeSantis is not called America's Governor for nothing.

So let's review....

DeSantis is living out the right's policies, and is wildly popular with everyone except the 20M Hiden voters.

Newsom/Whittmer/Cuomo/Murphy are living out the left's policies, and even the few Hiden voters are getting tired of their antics.

The left is in the vast MINORITY in this country. This is more anecdotal evidence.

But yet, some how, some way, 81 million votes. Yeah right.

Now, what DeSantis needs to do, similar to what Trump did in the 2020 SOTU, is celebrate how well communities of color and women are doing under his policies. If he does this, and otherwise stay disciplined, he will split the left in two.

So you've claimed that Trump lost due to Mean Tweets and I think you've said that DeSantis is basically Trump, without the Mean Tweets. And here you are saying if he stays disciplined, he splits the left in two.

So that means you think the American voter is so stupid that they voted against their best interests....because of Mean Tweets.

Ok, let's assume that's correct. And as long DeSantis avoids Mean Tweets, he will win where Trump could not.

According to your logic.

Ok, let's assume that's correct. And let's assume Trump decides not to run in 2024, and DeSantis does.

What's the first thing the media will do? As soon as DeSantis announces he is running, the media will suddenly introduce us to a string of women who DeSantis has sexually harrassed or attacked throughout his life. We will suddenly be introduced to former high school classmates who will attest to DeSantis being a racist since he was their classmate, and other assorted charges straight from the Trump/Kavanaugh playbook.

And the same weak-minded voters who couldn't pull the trigger for Trump due to Mean Tweets will suddenly lament how 'undisciplined' DeSantis has been morally throughout his life. How they never knew what type of person DeSantis really was. Until the media told them.

All assuming your theory is correct.

Correct...the national media (not mainstream that is a misnomer) will manufacture the dirt if they have to. Axelrod took out Herman Cain with the medias help. Rather tried to take out both H and W. Media tried to vilify Romney but he was too boring for that to be effective. They even made up crap on their favorite McCain. They tried it with Clarence Thomas and if Anita Hill had been white they probably would have succeeded in playing that tired old card.

1. Trump did NOT lose the election, as the audits continue to prove.
It was stolen by FRAUDULENT mail-in votes, supplemented by the Hillbillery's Dominion vote altering machines. Trump won the 'real' election by a landslide, which is why the corrupt traitorous Rats and their minions are fighting tooth and nail to stop the audits. (their propaganda machine 'fake news' is now calling them fraudits, in their latest weak attempt to control the narrative)

2. DeSantis needs to just continue to do as he's done and is doing.
The vast majority of Florida residents love his policies, and people nation wide continue to flood into Florida to get away from the Rat infested states an cities. (national office is up next when he leaves the FL Governors office)

The problem is, the people flooding into FL. A great deal of them are Dems, who will eventually vote for the same crap that ruined their old city/state, Rat Leadership.

DeSantis kicks Lord Fauci in the nuggets 😲

Ron DeSantis: ‘We Chose Freedom Over Fauci-ism’ And Were Better For It

JUNE 4, 2021 By Gabe Kaminsky
Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis blasted Anthony Fauci after thousands of pages of emails were released showing the doctor’s contradicting positions and discussed how his state diverged from the arbitrary federal government health guidelines.
“I think [Fauci] is somebody who if you followed what he said, that he said you did a good job,” DeSantis said. “For example, he said New Yorkhas the best response to COVID. Obviously, in terms of the numbers, I don’t see how you could possibly say that both for COVID and all of the destruction that has happened. In Florida, we chose freedom over Fauci-ism.”

The one and only, America's Governor, Ron DeSantis.

Love this guy as he cuts loose on Lord Fauci

Ron DeSantis Lets Loose on Dr. Fauci as the Feud Deepens

Ouch!

“If you’re going to pick someone to be your liberal hero, they seem to be picking the wrong people,” DeSantis said, discussing how the media treated his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic versus how the media treated Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

“I mean to pick Cuomo, the guy’s had a lot of problems,” DeSantis said with a laugh. “And then they elevated Fauci to basically sainthood, and yet we’ve seen Fauci’s been wrong about so many different things, and clearly he wasn’t honest with the American people about the origins of COVID.”

“So if you’re going to try to create a hero against your bad guy, if it’s Trump or whoever else, at least get it right,” the governor added. “It seems like the people they’re picking end up having a lot of problems.”

lmao2.gif

DeSantis would hit other topics in the interview, including the false 60 Minutes hit piece that ate up news cycles at the time. Over and over, the left has tried to attack Florida’s governor, and over and over they’ve come out looking stupid in the end. DeSantis has a knack for turning the tables.

Early on, when Florida's State Parks were first closed, I sent Ron an email asking him to reopen the parks. As an old couple, we use the relative safety of the state parks to get out for some fresh air and a little low impact exercise, like walking.

Within a week, Ron had opened the parks back up for day visits, though keeping the campgrounds closed for a while longer. That's the kind of rapid response time that a good 'Public Servant' should exhibit.

Regardless of office title that he's running for, I will vote for him every time, because of what he does as an honest 'public servant,' not for how he looks or speaks or tweets....

@Mt.DoraGator an Andrew Gillum lover, would have been fine with the pole smoking meth head running our great State of Florida to the ground much worse than what the Caitlyn Jenner lookalike is doing in Michigan.

Any power not specifically given to the federal government in the Constitution, remains with the states or with the 'sovereign' people....

If the feds won't do their job at the border, then it's up to the states/people to get the job done, and then out the traitorous bastards that are currently running the DC swamp.
