The morality of Dan Mullen

Why do you guys insist on ruining an awesome Lynda Carter thread?

She has aged very well IMO.

And it looks like we dodged a bullet with Chip. Maybe on Frost, too - time will tell..

Yep. Chip was always a bad choice as even IF he got Florida winning, he was still going to bolt for the first decent West Coast job as he is a West Coast guy.

Frost is totally unproven, in fact he pretty much has the same resume Jim McElwain had when Florida hired him.

Mullen was easily the best choice of the 3.

Yep, haven't seen a single Florida poster here claim that Mullen was the first choice.

On the flipside, Kirby ABSOLUTELY was Georgia's first choice LOL
I'd take Kirby if Dan leaves. Kirby in his first three years as a head coach is 32 and 10. In the last two years he has 4 losses to teams that were ranked in the top 10 and lost to a Texas team that beat a playoff team. Comparing this to coach Saban's first three years as a head coach at a major university, he was 19-16-1, while Mullen's first three years was 21-17. Point is, not to defend, just give the man a break, he's only been a head coach 3 years. The first year was getting his feet wet. If he improves with experience, we're screwed.

I'm very satisfied with Mullen on board, but I truly believe Scott Frost has shown signs of improvement at Nebraska and would have been lights out in recruiting had he gone to Florida. After the 2016 season, Frost stated it is so much easier to be a college coach in the state of Florida with so much talent in everyone's backyard. My only problem with Frost would have been his selection for a DC. I think Nebraska fans will be happy with Frost for a while, as long as he doesn't start having some sort of meltdown the same way Bo Pelini did while at Nebraska. That dude was their best coach since Tom Osborne.

Kirby ain't leaving Georgia. He was born and bred Georgia football.

Frost may end up being a great coach, but he was totally unproven. Kirby had even less of a resume than Frost did.

Big time college football programs shouldn't roll the dice on unproven coordinators.

You can give up the schtick now. We know your an UGA fan

Was the story of the racist baseball player who called Justin Fields the n-word but is now BFF with Fields too over the top?

LOL Dude is not very bright, he keeps getting pissed at me for pointing out that he's really a Georgia shit poster. As if everyone else didn't already know that :D:D:D:D

Then you're as blind/ignorant as usual then.
I was Mullen all the way from the very beginning. o_O

Frost and Cow-chip Kelly were both talked to by the AD, (for appearance sake imo).
The former MsSt AD wanted Dan from the get-go, and he was actually offered the job, while the other 2 were only talked to about it.

The article I read didn't say anything about BFF, just that they met and are cool.

Dude isn't pissed because dude is a Gator and nothing a message board whore says can change that. Emoji boy! You"re not even liked on the BAMA board.

I'll be the first to admit Scott Frost was on the top of my list. Chip Kelly and Mike Norvell(Memphis) and the coach at Troy rounded out the top 4 on my wish list. I'll also admit at first I was not excited when UF announced the hiring of Dan Mullen. It's turned out ok so far.
If I wasn't lazy I would search the archives and show I wanted Dan but my list also consisted of Frost and Norvell. I honestly don't remember if I wanted Chipper. Probably did.

Apparently people can’t separate what fans may have wanted from the administration. Stricklin never wanted anybody else but Mullen because of what he’s called their great relationship at MSU. Both Frost and Kelly have said publicly UF never offered them. Stricklin did his due diligence like any competent leader would do, but he was never hiring anybody else but Mullen. Facts don’t fit the narrative though.

Oh look, the UF ‘fan’ defending all things UGA again. “Give Kirby a break guys!” You’re easily the worst troll on the Internet. You suck at this.

You and your bafoons that like everything you post have been on a rivals message board tour. I think you're all the same person. It's commical seeing you douchebags get owned by the Notre Dame poster.

Hope you're right and not just posting shit like you've done on a bunch of rivals message boards.

How does a new UF fan who supposedly hasn’t posted anywhere else before know about a Bama fans history? And it just so happens to be the Bama fan that regularly disses the team he’s a fan of. I love when stupid people out themselves. Or continue to out themselves I should say.

As a former player, I understand how difficult it is to win. I've always had respect for my oponent and opposing coach, whether it be football, wrestling, or track. I'm brutally honest and really do hope Kirby moves on from UGA, because he's got more wins in his first three years as a head coach than any coach that I can remember. If stating the facts makes me a dawg fan, then ignoring them makes you a Nole

He's not smart enough to see that what he's saying is undercutting the claims he's making.

Mark Richt's first 3 years at Georgia: 32-8, 1 SEC title, 2-1 bowl record

Kirby Smart's first 3 years at Georgia: 32-10, 1 SEC title, 2-1 bowl record

Kirby can't even match the record of the guy that you guys ran off to hire him.

What a bunch of dumbasses :D

Not a dawg fan, so didn't keep up with your boy Mark. 32 wins is more than the others I listed as, equal to Mark's. If I was a dawg fan I'd known Mark's. Stankass!

Lol so dumb. Chasing around the Bama fan that just so happens to be dissing UGA because you’re all in your feelings. Makes you wonder why a UF fan would be upset at someone dissing UF’s biggest rival UGA. Oh I know, because that person isn’t a UF fan. But lord knows he’s trying to convince everyone. The little engine that couldn’t.

Such a bad bad troll job. Like really?

Lol, your investigative talent is lacking. I'm not your typical fan in that I yell from the rooftops that we're the best team in the world. Florida is the University that I graduated from and root for. I'm a donor and have met, even had lunch with a few of the coaches. They're not even as color blind as the homers on this board. If acting like you all is what it takes to be a fan, then my generation is screwed, because that shit is beyond lunacy.

Point out all the UF fans acting like we're the best anything buttercup. Your entire history on this board is you lashing at UF fans for not praising UGA and Kirby enough while simultaneously gushing over UGA nuts like a sorority groupie. Men from your generation must be the kind who talk shit about their family in public for brownie points from the peanut gallery. If you were actually a UF fan of course.

All the Georgia fans here sniffed his butt, recognized him as one of them, and have never had a cross word for him LOL

Is he really this dumb?
