TCU is not even going to come close to beating UGA…

After Kirby called the T.O., OSU should have had balls and just gone for the 4 and 1. They likely would have gotten it, and that would have cemented the win. As it was, Kirby saved the day, became a forever epic legendary coach, and has assured yet another year of agony and misery for us all…
I was surprised they didn't go for it. They were moving the ball fairly well.

I just hate that he called the T.O. I agree, wish Day would have went for it

The only place where there is a “Plane” is the goal line between the pylons.

Having a hand or foot inbounds (no other part of the body can touch the ground) the ball is in play.

This is why you can have a foot in bounds and catch a pass out of bounds and it is complete.

Also why runners will reach out the ball forward before their feet go out and get an extra 34-40” on the spot.

LrgK9,

Great Photo !

It illustrates your point. Thanks.

An extra 34 to 40 is important......

Thanks for the explanation. I always get that confused. Fling bowers got so lucky here.... Classic UGA, no skill, all luck

I saw our game on tv v the Froggies 10/20 & was @ the B12 championship game.
If Max Duggin can stay healthy then Froggies got a chance.

You are overstating that a bit. He's a tweener so he's not ready-made for the NFL level - that's all. It's a fair enough critique imo.

Still a stud for college though.
Respectfully, I'm not overstating anything. We're not discussing the NFL and Lizard said he was a slow WR. The slow part itself has been proven wrong again and again.

Bowers is the sh!t…that dude single-handedly changes game outcomes…

There is nothing like having a mismatch dominant tight end…it is like having a super hero on your team when it works…
100% I still see the NFL-critique if ppl make it. Some guys are great "college" guys but it may not translate to the NFL. Dude is a baller.

Yea he's really good

Remember, we missed 2 fgs as well.
Your point?

I said you had lost the game but tOSU missed the GWFG. Don't give me "what if" for your missed opportunities. Everybody misses opportunities. You missed enough of them to lose the game. But you didn't.

I would say, though, that most title teams have a moment like that, where they were about to lose, then didn't. We won the title in 06, but almost didn't get to play for it, because South Carolina had us beat but we blocked their GWFG. Stuff happens.

Hindsight is 20-20, but it would have been epic if they had sent out the punt team, then when the refs put the ball back into play, the punt team ran off the field and the offense ran on. Kirby would have just called TO again, but then he would have used 2 timeouts on one punt play. Day would have gotten back the momentum that Kirby had taken from the TO that stopped the fake punt.

No... we already had punt safe defense on the field. Had we not called timeout, Ohio State would have gotten dinged for 12 men on the field, which is reviewable.

Still saying it, but I note you always neglect to mention that I am talking about what he will do on the next level.
You called Bowers a slow WR last season, his freshman season. You weren't talking about NFL future halfway through his freshman season. You didn't know much about him.

Why is anybody surprised? The teams that recruit the best (top 5) and/or have a Heisman like QB win natty’s. UGAs recruited top 5 classes. That is their winning formula. Again this isn’t rocket science.

Thank you Paco

All these Michigan fans don’t get it

I keep telling them you can’t recruit the 18th ranked class and beat teams that are top 3 every year

Like you said, not rocket science

True for the most part but teams can be beaten on a given day. I figured when TCU upset Michigan that they wouldn't play that good again in this game.

Georgia had 5 players off last year's defense drafted in the 1st round by the NFL. Kirby has it tolling and it just shows that the teams that hire a quality coach and bring in the most big time talent have the best chance of winning titles. But in the SEC it's so tough. In the last 16 years, Florida, Auburn, Alabama, LSU and Georgia have all won national titles. The SEC has won 12 of those 16 and will make it 13 of the last 17 tonight. Clemson has 2 during that time, FSU 1 and Ohio State 1. Incredible dominance by the SEC, but Georgia is the top dog right now because they have the best players. Our Gators can get there, but we have to start getting more of the big time recruits to climb that mountain.

TCU beat Michigan who handled OSU easily and OSU was 50/50 to beat Georgia on a last second long FG....:)

OSU offense is the one thing that could challenge UGA. UGA would boat race Michigan. Its match ups

OSU is also the only non-SEC team athletic enough to play with uGA
