I'd still take former Gator QB, 59 year old Kerwin Bell - currently W.Carolina HC, over anyone mentioned so far...... 🤓
I'd also take a chance on his son Kade as OC.
Well we know who they won't hire. Sounds like they would be willing to hire kiffiin. We will see what happens.

And fever, I'd be good with that,,, IF it looked like it was going forward in a positive way on the field.
247Sports says that his combined recruits in his 3rd season Rank #14 in the nation.
He has dumped those already on the roster that he didn't want and brought in those to replace them from the portal.
He has built his own coaching staff and he's been given a 50+ auxiliary staff to cover every part of his program.
(things that the previous 3 fired 'winning records' HC's weren't given)
Given all of that, where is his 3rd season standing at now?
2022 - 6-7
2023 - 5-7
2024 - 3-3, 1-2 SEC
Where does the W/L need to be by the end of 2024, now that he has the 'High Quality Team of His Own Choosing?'
Note: I don't want to see him fired today or tomorrow mid-season.
I would maybe even be willing to give him a 4th year to make the Big Turnaround that some claim is coming.

AD - It was right before the first game though. I think they might retain him if he pulled off a mini-miracle and somehow went 6-6.
Thanks - To me, our AD IS the primary problem.
The only way Sling Blade gets another season is to go 9-3. Norvell pulled it off in his 3rd season. No excuse for losing to a garbage Texas A&M team beating us with their POS backup who lit up our defense. The Miami game should have been far more competitive, perhaps won by UF as their semi garbage with an easier schedule than FSU had in decades.
I think they would retain him after what our biggest booster had to say but the chance of him pulling it off is extremely low. A UCF or KY loss instantly seals his fate even if they wait a while to officially fire him.
I think he’s got a good chance to keep his job at 6-6. But he’s got no chance of going 6-6.
Are you talking about Jed Fisch? That ship sailed even before he lost to Iowa. He's already lost to Wasu and Rutgers. Kenny Dillingham is someone to take s close look at, despite his age at 34. He even sent Jaden Rashada packing towards the portal.
As for Napier, whether or not he beat Tennessee, nothing would have changed. His only hope is for DJ Lagway to carry this team to a 5-1 record going forward but no way we beat either Georgia, Texas, then beat Ole Miss.

Mullin was a control freak, insisted on keeping on 3rd and Grantham, and he gone too. If Billy hired an OC and a game day situational corch to go with the other 100 coaches he's got, I might think about keeping him on too.

When Bell was hired at Valdosta State from Jacksonville University (where he spent 2 years setting up their brand new football program), his offense was described as a professional passing game he learned from Lindy Infante with the Colts, combined with the spread offense that Steve Spurrier ran at the University of Florida.

Kerwin Bell offense that produced one of the most electric teams in Division II football at Valdosta State. In case you have been living under a rock, the Valdosta State Blazers completed a perfect season at 14-0, and scored 52.0 points per game. To put that into perspective, Clemson just capped off a 15-0 season at Division I and averaged 44.0 points per game. Oklahoma had the nations top scoring offense with 48.4.
The offense was a nearly perfectly balanced attack, with the team rushing for 3,676 yards and passing for 3,658. This resulted with 7.2 yards per rush and 8.73 yards per pass, or 15.18 yards per catch. With 50 passing touchdowns and 40 rushing touchdowns, almost every player on Valdosta State’s roster who contributed found the end zone at some point during the season.
The 52.0 points per game was hardly needed, as Valdosta’s defense kept teams at bay until the fourth quarter when backups were playing.

Bell, who had been drafted by the Miami Dolphins in 1988 after throwing for nearly 8,000 career yards at Florida, injured himself off the field prior to the 1990 season and decided to try coaching while he healed. He did go back to pro football after 1990, but mostly in the Canadian Football League, where he threw for nearly 20,000 yards and 101 touchdowns. Bell credited being on Spurrier's staff at Florida for fueling his interest in coaching and for a high-octane offense, which he and his staff employ in their pro spread attack.
"KB (Kerwin) is a player's coach," his son Kade Bell told FanBuzz. "He almost treats his team like an NFL team. If we win, we're off on Sundays. He has that Spurrier mentality, that we're going to work hard and put our time in, but when we're done, we're going to go home to our families. And it makes everyone come to work ready to work. All of that stuff matters, and that culture isn't just with the coaches. "We're going to compete and try to dominate people ... but we want these kids to have fun playing football, too."

The younger Gonzales has thrown for 1,532 yards and 14 TD's, 2 Ints in 6 games. Bell's son Kade is his OC.
