You choose to use the extremes in both parties to describe them. Most of AMERICA is somewhere in between. Did the early founding fathers stress SEPARATION of church and state?

I think we are not communicating very well. I do not think God chooses because of which partry you are. That would be STUPID. I think God chooses between good and evil. I believe that a person who showers with his teenage daughter is EVIL. I believe a guy that opens our borders to let illegal aliens in, that by our Constitution should NOT be here...that kill innocent people, bring enough Fentanyl across our borders to kill 75K Americans per year to help him stay in power is EVIL.I think the news media, Biden's white house team that have covered for his dementia putting the greatest Country ever in jeopardy because they want to remain in power are evil. I think looking at the failure of supposedly the worlds premier protection agency exemplifies FJB's whole presidency. I think people who support this evil...are evil also. No they didn't, and lack of historical knowledge is a major problem in this country. The words "separation of church and state" don't appear in any founding document, but they are rife with mentions of God and references to concepts seen in Natural Law.
NOW - the 1st amendment does allow for Freedom of Religion: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion."
Some of the Founders even thought compulsory religion was ok, but luckily a majority saw that as overreach.
But you're missing the point - morality in society is being eroded by the Left. Nothing in my list was "extreme", those are all factual events that have occurred or are occurring. It's not my place to say God would favor one side over the other of course, but one is by definition closer to the Founder's values. Conservatism literally "conserves" those values.
What "progress" are progressives making - and how on earth do you vote for that?

Did our founders emphasize separation of church and state? No. In fact this term wasn’t even mentioned. In fact, many encouraged Bible reading in school. I can provide quotes if you like? As previously stated, conflating the establishment clause (which is simply not mandating government religion) with teaching about the contents of the Bible is absurd. Otherwise, the founders wouldn’t have encouraged reading the bible and would have banned it from school themselves.
And guess what, you were just as free to not be a christian then as now.

The leader of the Proud Boys isn't white. I'm not defending them, I don't know all much about them, but I don't understand how you can call them intolerant. But I do know they claim "heritage not hate" a lot, which to me means they're harkening back to Federalism and state's rights, not necessarily slavery. But I don't know.
