I agree that the government should not be directly pressuring social media to edit or remove posts. I thought it was common knowledge that "VIPs," such as governments, had direct channels to social media companies enabling expedited handling of their requests.

Getting rid of it puts social media platforms in the same category as news agencies in which they could be sued for damages and liability. I was a fan of this at first, especially when Twitter purged my account the same day DT was purged but in the grand scheme of things, I’m against it.

I do agree that it should be enforced and unless users are violating platform policies then it’s free game. The warnings for all platforms need to be removed for good unless it’s a warning regarding violence, death or child pornography/molestation.
