Proprietary COVID-19 and Vaccine thread

Yep. Lockdowns are medically proven to accelerate the spread of covid. As well as raise the suicide rate.

Goodness. I fear we learned nothing from 2020. If not, we will deal with this again every election season from now on.

The real problems lockdowns is, we’re not done correctly. They might be effective if they were done kind of like you would do for hurricane. Locked things down for a week at most and then immediately open everything back up. Based off of the research the way that we did them for Covid was completely wrong in poorly orchestrated and pushed by mania and hysteria and not common sense and good science.

Would you look at the article that I posted which is one of the most objective reviews on lockdowns I’ve ever read, clearly the way we did it go for influenza in 1918 and for Covid was essentially ineffective.

Which is why I advocated for opening everything back up a few weeks after the initial lockdown back in 2020. Although I’m sure few in here would remember that.

The comparative analysis of different countries showed that the assumption of lockdowns’ effectiveness cannot be supported by evidence—neither regarding the present COVID-19 pandemic, nor regarding the 1918–1920 Spanish Flu and other less-severe pandemics in the past. The price tag of lockdowns in terms of public health is high: by using the known connection between health and wealth, we estimate that lockdowns may claim 20 times more life years than they save. It is suggested therefore that a thorough cost-benefit analysis should be performed before imposing any lockdown for either COVID-19 or any future pandemic.

We or they?

They learned EVERYTHING they needed to know from 2020. That's why they are repeating it and people who buy into their politics are so freaking excited about it.

Truly, what happened in 2020 was a massive abuse and overreach of power by bureaucrats. They used fear to force compliance.

They Ignore the fact that there is been fewer pandemics since the evolution of world travel than before, which is directly related to better immune system’s, because we all get exposed to things, much like being put in daycare at an early age, improves your immune system.

Fear is more powerful than common sense.

Absolutely correct. It should not have been done in 2020. One of the reasons that I suggested the lockdown should end three weeks into the original lockdown and that they should be selectively done regionally only in emergencies.

Great! Now we'll have "Dr" Jill invite these nurses to the WH for more holiday entertainment.

We'll see. A lot of people are NOW saying oh I won't get fooled again.

Too many people turn to sheep when they are scared and look to Mama Government to save them. This ends when we decide it ends.

I've already told my boss to not even ask this time.

I will not comply. I'm not wearing a worthless face diaper and I'm not taking any more shots.

I'm in good standing at work, I'm pretty sure I could work from home. If not, I'll be looking for another job.

At this point, there is no reason to wear a mask or get the vaccine. The pandemics over. Now we just have occasional local outbreaks.
But that will not stop mass hysteria and illogical unscientific reactions.

Reported cause of death is heart attack after dealing with covid. 36 years old.

@gatordad3 was he Mike Rotunda's son?
From Wikipedia:

"According to reports just days before his death, he had been making positive progress towards recovery. Shortly after his death, it was revealed that the illness was COVID-19, which had exacerbated a pre-existing heart condition."

Terry Funk, another one of my favorites, and a costar of Patrick Swayze in Road House, passed away two days prior. Damn!

Tough year or two for 80s wrasslin'. All those guys we grew up with were in their 30-50s then, so age is catching up with them, plus a body that was beat to hell.

Lockdowns were not effective, outside of helping hospitals prepare for the surge. We should have also locked down, as appropriate, the immuno-compromised.

I did think that shutting down schools was the right thing to do but after the 9-12 weeks, go back in person. We held our daughter into virtual for her junior year, which was a MASSIVE mistake. I blame the CDC and my following of that guidance.

Up until 2020, I would have followed the CDC, almost without question, for any part of the response. Today? I ask dozens upon dozens of questions.

Now - look at this nonsense from Biden today:

Beat me to it.

I’d impolitely mention obesity is the #1 comorbidity to bad Covid outcomes and maybe she should be eating a salad and going for a walk instead of eating a Whopper.

And the damn masks didn’t work the first time and won’t work this time.
Actually, the primary comorbidities that increase your risk of deaths from Covid are, in order, hypertension, coronary artery, disease, and diabetes.
Obesity certainly increases your risk of all three of these, and is in and of itself a risk factor, but it is not the number one comorbidity for bad Covid outcomes
The more you know……..
