Trump is the nominee if healthy and he wants it. He will probably make up his mind on that in about a year. My own thinking is Trump would fare just a little better than DeSantis in most of the swing states.

Enthusiastic voters attend rallies, put out yard signs, donate, volunteer their time and encourage others to vote.
Dead people find it more difficult to attend these types of events in person for a myriad of reason.

The mistake you are making is thinking that the hard core political types who attend rallies (or insurrections as the case may be) represent a majority of Americans.
