Jet sweeps like the one we ended on last weekend against UK, and start throwing in some more option plays which seemed to really confuse Kentucky. They absolutely weren't ready for that and if Emory is going to play, by all means. We can make some rushing yards work, but it'll be on plays that currently we're using the passing game to accomplish like the bubble screen and TE screens currently.
We have the massive advantage of being well coached where their coaching is their liability. Their players will play hard, at least at first. They will come out with all of this week's positive thinking drilled into them, and within 15 minutes on the field, I expect that to evaporate and those poor creamsicle players will be left on the sidelines with Coach-kill-a-whiteboard.
As has been said, they will be expected to run the ball heavily as that is their statistical strongpoint of the team, and thus shorten the game length and limit our possessions. Not so much worried about not having Zuniga or CJ for this game as I was against Kentucky. We need our LBs to play their best and shutdown their running game completely, and then the least little bit of pressure on their QB will start the turnover machine rolling again like it did last year.
My thoughts on the keys to winning this game is making the most of each and every offensive possession we have. We can't have drives where we went down the field and came up with zero points like last week against Kentucky. We need to show, not just UT, that we can finish off drives and I think that is the biggest goal with both Trask and Jones getting significant reps in a game finally. Finish the drives, put points on the board, and the rest will take care of itself. UT will self destruct in enough areas of the game where all we have to do is move the ball down the field and score. Keep the chains moving and I think we win, despite injuries or questionable offensive line.
For crying out loud, we managed to beat Kentucky on their home field last weekend, this UT team isn't even a shadow of the competition.
