I don't know what's more likely...but I agree it's a LONG way from happening. But hey, two months ago, who would have predicted UF with just one loss at this point? Been an interesting season. College football never disappoints!

That is fine. But if you *think* Bama is overrated, we now *know* FSU was overrated.
I still contend that they are the best. In an age of parity they have the most talented roster. There are certainly others that have played closer to their potential. Maybe they've been better "teams" so far. But I can't help but believe that the talent differential and a proven coaching staff will win out in the end. These are the same reasons people keep ranking Ohio st at the top.
Do all you noles want to stand behind these statements now?
Look, I'm no Bama fan, just the opposite. In fact I hate them and their fanbase. But I DO KNOW FOOTBALL, Bama has the most complete and talented roster in the ncaa. They may not win every game they may not win the CFP but they are the best collection of talent.

I stand behind my statement that Bama is not the best team in the country. I personally don't think they would beat Clemson on a neutral field. They just got whooped by Ohio State last year in the playoffs. Baylor and Okie State would put points up on that defense a well. Hell, let's not act like their game @Mississippi State next week is a slam dunk. They lost to Ole Miss and struggled with Tennessee and Arkansas. People love to fawn all over Bama after they have a good game though.
We might find out about the later? And you are right about the former. Not one poll of any importance will rank Alabama as #1.

So you are saying Clemson has more talent than Bama? In a position by position comparison Clemson is better? And I guess that means they have better depth too?
Look, I know you're in a tough spot needing to build Clemson up because of what happened yesterday. But that's just ignorant.
Clemson could very will win a game against Bama. (eg. Fsu-GT 2015) But to come here and proclaim them "better" is a stretch. Especially if you're taking quality of talent, depth and quality of coaching into account for your comparison.
It's not about talent. Clemson is just a better team this year. I'm sure over the last 2.5 years Bama had more talent than Auburn, Oklahoma, Ohio State, and Ole Miss. They still lost. Alabama has an average OL and a bad QB this year. They can lose to anyone as evidenced by their games with Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Arkansas. Sports fans are prisoners of the moment though and will overreact to the LSU game. It's just what fans do.

The good news is this; we have a college football playoff. If both teams win out, they could get a chance to meet.

I feel pretty good. Your QB play is well below average. Your oline is a little better than ours, your kicking game is suspect to be polite.

FSUs defense is just average at best and underachieving for the 2nd year in a row. They have more talent on defense than the way they are playing. FSUs DC Kelly is not very good as it was especially evidenced last night in the 4th quarter on Clemson's final TD run. Herbstreit even called it out as he was baffled as to what type of defensive calls were being made on FSUs defense.

We are your Super Bowl. We are validation that for all the woes for FSU fans this year. If FSU manages to beat Florida, at least they can claim their team is better than the best SEC East team.I certainly hope so, because that means we beat UF.
They have nothing else. As BONG might say, we are their Alpha and their Omega.
I won't argue that other than you could supplement UF with any ranked P5 for our final game. FSU just needs to beat someone with a pulse going into the bowl season.
That said, I would LOVE for it to be UF.
