Ole Miss vs Memphis

Ok I get that Memphis is "undefeated", but wasn't Ole Miss ranked #3 a few weeks ago?

We're going to have a CFP featuring Utah, Iowa, Toledo, and Memphis. LOL

Have you watched Memphis play? I get their defense is average if not poor but their QB is better than anyone in either the SEC or ACC. Yes, it's Memphis. Does the name Favre ring any bells or memories? :)

They were held without a TD against Arkansas for 3 quarters last week. Any team with a defense has a chance to beat them.
Answer the question. Who's better? Who would be favored over them? Who would you put your money down to beat them?
Like I said best team in the nation.

They may very well be favored against everyone. Hell they haven't been an underdog in 7 years. Their offense isn't good enough to just say give them the trophy right now. Last week against Arkansas showed that.

They are the best team in the west though.

Back to the topic at hand. Ole Miss getting beat down by an AAC team. Where is numbers to explain this?

I've been watching this QB. This was the 3rd time I've watched him play this year. Like I said, I watched Bret Favre beat #6 FSU while at Southern Miss. Memphis would give the SOW all they wanted and more. One player can make a difference. That being said, take away Cook and the SOW is a bottom dweller in the ACC.

Or maybe Ole Miss just isn't good.

They are the best team in the country. What's hard to understand about that? They may not win the NC. I mean they've already lost a game. None of that changes the fact that on paper and by the eyeball test they are the best. They would be expected to beat any team they play. And all of us, including you, would consider it an upset if anybody in the country beat them today.

The SEC is not good this year. It just isn't. Bama being the best team in the country is laughable btw.

FSU and Clemson would run everyone in the SEC out of the building. Maybe Bama could hang for a half maybe. SEC is so bad this year it's sad.
Funny thing is nobody here thinks you actually believe that. Not even nulls are that delusional

Who's better?

That's what the playoffs are for. One week Bama looks like the best team, but loses to Ole Miss and struggles against Arkansas. LSU struggled against crappy Syracuse. Clemson has struggled at times. TCU has been on the ropes due to no defense.

I don't know who the best is, so I'm thankful for the playoffs.

Still dodging the question. Who you got against Bama right now, today? I don't care what anybody else did or didn't do. None of that means anything.

Forget all of the barb of ACC/SEC

Memphis is no freaking joke. Probably the top QB going in the draft. Possible invite to New York DTAC if he stays on pace.

The defense is underrated in all honesty. They gave up big stats to Bowling Green and Cincy. Most teams do. Plus it was back to back and Memphis played Cincy in a short week..5 days after a track meet against BG.

That's some impressive pimping for Memphis. Nice.

:p:D

Yeah, playing in the rugged SEC is Ole Miss' problem.
No, but the pillow soft acc is truly their only real shot at a title. Heck, poor ole miss couldn't even win the aac, so that really leaves the acc unless they want to drop down to 1aa.

There are ~30 teams that could beat Bama on a given Saturday as evidenced by them losing at home to Ole Miss. SEC fans say that Bama is the best team every year.

Ohio State
Baylor
Clemson
TCU
Clemson??? LOL. They fold every year. It's just a matter of when not if. TCU and Baylor aren't good enough defensively. As long as LSU has a healthy Fournette they have to be in the conversation.
