It all goes back to a thread about the FSU-Florida rivalry ending. BucaNole said he wished FSU could play somebody else to end the year because Florida wasn't in their league. He said Florida would never put in the money to update our antiquated facilities and FSU was building a 85 million dollar stand alone facility.

I posted a link showing our own 65 million dollar stand alone football facility on the docket with an actual rendering and he called it meh.

I then posted a story detailing FSU has no plans for a stand alone facility at this point. He stands by his claims and cites BullGators in Tampa who tell him Florida is not interested in its football program. Meanwhile FSU's coffres are filled to the brim with cash, waiting to build these football complexes. He has "sources".

We might have been in "dire financial trouble" if we actually agreed to pay Jimbo a guaranteed $75 million, plus a $60 million facility, and then even more millions for his crew of analysts and assistants. I think FSU wisely decided not to put themselves on the hook for nearly $150 million, especially with college football ratings and attendance in decline.
