Nord and Summers, yes, I'm willing to give Nuss a little more time, as bad as the second half pay-calling was, the first half play-calling was very good. The coaching staff got too comfortable at the half and the second half game plan was based on the expectation that our defense could hold an 18 point lead. Even though Appleby played well in the first half, I don't think the coaching staff was totally comfortable with him at QB. With what's already happened this year with Ole Miss, ND, and others blowing huge leads you'd think we'd know better. I can deal with losing if it's to a better team and we play hard. This loss as well as the loss to Michigan last year (where simply did not show up) and out game vs. FAU (even though we won) are concerning. I was not upset when we lost to Alabama And FSU last year and I could have dealt with losing to UT under different circumstances.I'm still a supporter of McElwain but he still has some growing to do...we will see.
