Watched the last 7 minutes after baseball finished. Can't figure this team out. Free throw shooting has now gone to crap and yet these guys toughed out a win. Proud of them tonight.
Hard fought win but it took 13 3's to get it done. We live and die by the 3 point shot.
Auburn had 12 turn overs in the first half and ended up with like 16-18 overall I think.

One of those computer simulation bracketology places have us with almost a 60% chance of making the tourney with one more pre-SEC tourney win regardless if we don't win a game in that tournament and if we did mess around and lost the last 2 games it looks like 2 tourney wins may get us in if a lot of bubble teams didn't go deep in their tournaments.

I think that is probably right. The projection of a 7 seed was dependent on us beating Auburn and now Kentucky
If we don't win another game we would probably be out do to some iffy teams earning their way in and after 2 losses in our final games just 1 win in the SEC Tourney against a mediocre opponent probably wouldn't cut it.
It would be nice to see them finish somebody off. Bama couldn't throw the ball in the ocean right now. I think Avery Johnson might have the same problem Mike White has....He's too nice to the players. All the great coaches have a mean streak.
I'm watching the UF/UNF baseball game on ESPN3 and the BB game on ESPN. Bama is playing terrible and our guys are moving it around pretty good. They've gotten a ton of 2nd and 3rd chance shots, but missed so many right at the basket. Baseball team is winning 4-0 in the 9th. Freshman Jordan Butler gave up 1 hit with 6K's in 6 innings. Freshman Jack Leftwich is finishing up on the mound.
This darn team is so jekyl and hide. They just clinched a spot in the big dance IMO.
Agree. The best all around game they've played since Gonzaga, I think. They gave up a ton of offensive rebounds to Bama, but played tenacious defense the whole game.

Up is down, blue is red, tall is short and we lost to Vanderbilt but beat Auburn. We beat Cincy, Gonzaga, Kentucky and now Bama . Can we say that this is an NCAA tourney team yet?

I was going to respond to all of this dumb shit, but instead I'll keep it brief. Yes, you freaked out after a couple early season conference losses. Before other things had even happened, it's because you're obviously mentally soft.
I was merely pointing out that it was way too early to panic and it was being a little bitch to do so. I was right, you were wrong. Your obvious narcissism, combined with clearly having no life, then caused you to become angry when I disagreed with you.
Again, my point was simple, it was a bit early to quit on this team as you were apparently ready to do back in late January. This team had plenty of talent to insure an NCAA birth, and they did.
They're in, they're just playing for seeding now imho. I could be wrong, but if the season ended today I believe Lunardi has them a 6 seed, that seems high to me, but they're a legit 7 or 8

I made some fairly moderate points and called him out on some drama, he went on full keyboard warrior holy war due to that. I am calling him out for being overly dramatic in January or whenever this thread started with tons of hoops left, and acting like Alabama and Auburn were the freaking Cavs.
And of course we're celebrating, UF likely just signed their ticket to the dance, I don't care what the expectations were prior to the season, given how soft they are in the post and some front court injuries, i am jubilant for them just to be in. fyi, they could be 3-3 over the last 6 according to my math, didn't look it up though. UF is a 10-8 11-7 kind of team talent wise in conference, to me this is not super disappointing at all, how streaky they are is baffling, but their conference record is kind of spot on as to who they are.
Every team is flawed. The college basketball season is about learning, finishing, getting in, and match ups.
Many people bailed on this team in January and early February.
This team has always had the talent to play with any team...and anybody who “gave up” before the final story was written should feel ashamed.
This team is as good as anyone if they are hitting their 3s and can get some transition going, when they don't do that they struggle. I wouldn't be shocked if they were one and done in the dance, also could see a scenario where they're in the sweet 16 or elite 8 again. They're so Sybil like in their tendencies that I wouldn't hazard a guess.
You being wrong is a lot less important to me than Florida doing well. As I have said many times since I started this thread, I will be happy to be wrong about the NIT. And it looks like I am wrong about it. I agree with most people that say no matter what we do against UK, we are probably in the NCAA tournament. That is good for Florida basketball and good for Florida fans.
But I will say this about you. It is very, very predictable that you vanished as we were losing 3 of 4, but show back up now that we have won two improbable games. Drama queen indeed. Your attraction to Zen practices has not conferred upon you much self awareness. That you show up now to "refute" my points is..well..predictable.
As others have said, no one seems to be able to predict what this Florida team will do. We could well lose the first game in the SEC-T and the NCAA. Or we could go deep in both. We have shown the ability to beat most any team and we have shown the ability to lose to most any team. Buckle up and enjoy the ride.
