Kirby’s first year as a head coach, this past year was Mullen’s 10th as a head coach. Not really apples to apples

Well, other than the inexperience of being in charge, everything else is the same. Players not recruited for your system, that have to be trained up from ground zero, and the need to convince recruits to come to your school when you have little to no history there.

Yes, I already know your response, that Smrt is recruiting great, but he didn't right away, did he? And please note that UF's 2020 and 2021 classes are ahead of Georgia, so it looks like Mullen is on the same track Kirby was, except, he's a much better coach.

So you all want credit for scheduling games that haven’t happened yet? A lot of those games scheduled that far out don’t even happen. And you’re also failing (or purposefully ignoring) to mention you’re afforded the ability to schedule those games because your permanent OOC opponent is GT. Look around the country, the trend is schedule one legitimate OOC opponent and two cupcakes. People stupidly keep trying to downplay FSU, who has outright been one of the best programs in the country in the modern era, because we happen to share the same state with them as if that makes the game less challenging or something.

And isn’t it funny that the schools who play absolutely shit in conference needs to schedule tougher OOC? Wonder why that is. Y’all Dawg fans have talked repeatedly about how Clemson gets a free pass to the playoffs...they need to schedule the best OOC. The Big 12 is absolute garbage, OU and Texas need to go OOC to look for opponents. This isn’t hard. Apparently UF is supposed to be the lone school to play 5-6 ranked teams in conference, play a historically top 10 FSU OOC, but still look for even more marquee matchups outside of that. So do what nobody else is doing, otherwise we’re scared to schedule tougher or some nonsense.

I didn’t hear what the question was that prompted his response. But he felt a need to talk about Georgia and say the program is playing catch up to his only because of FSU. Ok, dude. You should listen to the PC. One of the reporters brought up other teams scheduling marquee OOC games and mentioned UGA scheduling FSU then asked if UF had any plans to do something similar. He didn’t bring up UGA unprompted. But even if he did who cares? It’s so small lol. It’s a silly jab saying y’all are playing catch-up by scheduling FSU since we play them every year.

To be fair, how many NC rings do you think Kirby will win as a head coach?

He had the NC in his back pocket in 2017 and blew it, he had the SEC title against the #1 team in his back pocket in 2018, and he blew that too.

He's never going to win another title at Georgia. Even Larry Coker and Gene Chizik took advantage when they had the chance.
