LSU @ Florida

Apparently so.

Gee whiz. All sadgator is trying to do is have a little fun goofing on LSU and celebrating the biggest SEC win we’ve had in years and Michi and others wanna jump sadgator’s sh!t for it…

It’s like, “WTF did sadgator do?!?!?!?”

excuse-me-excuse-moi.gif
No one suffers a win better than a gator fan.

Three points…

1. sadgator has said many times…just because sadgator acknowledges that the admin isn’t firing Napier doesn’t mean sadgator doesn’t have significant reservation about what is going on.

2. You have to find positives and joy where you can get it or you will drive yourself insane. sadgator took great pleasure in seeing Florida beat LSU for the first time in 6 years. sadgator will never be sorry or upset to see Florida win. Sorry if that upsets you.

3. In hindsight, Zook was underrated. We all know that. sadgator had empathy for Zook in the end when he was fired. He was a good guy who genuinely did what he could for Florida. If not for Zook, Urban doesn’t win the ‘06 title.
Bro wut

Zook deserves an ‘06 ring. sadgator will go to his grave believing it.
You apparently missed my post that he was a great recruiter. Chris Leak (whether or not he was worthy of it) was the most highly recruited QB in the country when he signed at UF). Urban arrived with a nearly full cupboard of talent in the bank and then Urbs took that to a new level.

I watched Zook lose to Croom with one of those monster talented rosters from the sideline in person.. I watched that same MSU team lose to Maine a few weeks before that from the same sideline as well.. I remember looking over while we were warming up and watching UF pre game opposite of us and it looked the most like an NFL team of any team we played that year.. and we played @LSU in Sabans last year there and against that great Auburn team too for comparison.

Yep. That loss in StarkeVegas finally rid us of Zook, and rightfully so. It ended the suffering that would slowly was sure to come. I did have a tear in my eye when he walked off Doak with a renaming of Ron Zook Field though. It was a good warm fuzzy ending. 😂

Opinions will always vary, no problem with that being so.

Leak, as a true Fr in 2003 and with the Zookster as his HC, beat 3 Top 11 Ranked SEC teams in consecutive road games.

UF 19 - 7 @ LSU - LSU went on to win the NC in 2003.

UF 33-28 @ Ark

UF 16 - 13 @ WLOCP / UGly

Chris Leak was a Member of the SEC All-Freshman Team in 2003.
The Sporting News SEC Offensive Freshman of the Year.
The Sporting News All-Freshman Team.
Earned Freshman All-America status from Rivals.com and Scripps/FWAA.
Was the SEC Freshman of the Year in 2003, the 4th Gator to receive the honor and the 2nd Gator QB to claim the accolade.Other Florida recipients to that point were Emmitt Smith (1987), Danny Wuerffel (1993) and Jabar Gaffney (2000. (nice company that is)

And this is part of why I said that tFR QB-dt Lagway should have started game one, Mertz should not have come back, and QB-dt Max Brown would have been the backup QB. The claim of some that a tFr can't start at UF or in the SEC is total BS imo.

Croom sparked two straight dynasties.. he gave UF Urban and Bama Saban

In essence I deserve an 06 ring too
Not sure where and when you were corching then, but Spurrier and Meyer ran off Stalling and Shula to never be heard of again. Spurrier ran off a quarter dozen of them Bamers. It's a fairy tale, heart warming story. 😂

Stallings actually retired, then had Dubose as his replacement. Dubose dug his own grave when he committed some violations and IIRC, had an affair with an employee within. Under Shula's watch, Bama had to vacate wins his last two seasons but would have been fired, violations or not.

Spurrier did cause plenty of coaches to get the ax. The one coach he tried the hardest to disappear was Bill Curry at Kentucky. When Curry was hired at Ga Tech, Spurrier asked to be the OC as he had young kids at the time, but Curry fired him anyway, hence scoring 81 points in '94 and 65 in '96.

Actually, it is worse than that...When Curry got the job he met with all of the coaches and told them whether or not they would be retained. He told SOS that he liked what he was doing and that he was going to keep him. Then SOS came in the next day to find a pink slip in his box. SOS had no respect for him as a person after that - nor should he. Curry was a wuss that deserved every one of those points that SOS hung on him. (of course Curry was stupid too, as he tried to turn Tim Couch - a stereotypical drop back passer - into an option QB, but I digress.)

That was when I was a player.. I got to see the Titanic go down at Bama first hand as well. Spurrier had nothing to do with Shula at that time, in fact when we played them at South Carolina we beat the hell out of them in 05.

Just watch. Next year we win 6-7, “improvement”, then he wins 8 and gets a huge extension. Then boom, right back where we were once DJ leaves.

Seems very familiar to a school to the north that was too stupid to see Travis was masking a complete shit show.
With LSU playing Vandy this week, it's safe to say they overlooked our Gators, thus becoming their trap game.

Who was the guy that came down from Washington St. and disgraced himself in a strip club and got fired before he coached a game? That was hilarious.
