But but but...we still won the semifinal and played for the title...wish we would have won, but our time is coming. Talk when you beat us. Don’t lose 42-7 and 36-17 and talk shit. Deal?

And this has what to do with you telling Bama they should have beat the team that drilled you? I understand why you’d try to forget that beat down but umm they lost to the same team you did. And then beat you. It’s like you make this up as you go.

And he gets upset when I call him simple or dumb. Very simple points get lost on him all the time.

He still doesn't get that he's really insulting Kirby by claiming that Fields couldn't even read defenses. If that's the case then what in the world was Kirby thinking putting him in to run a fake punt at the end of the SECCG? LMAO!

Easy to forget when you blast them in the SEC title game...the game that actually counts. When’s the last time those gaytas did that?

Trolls gonna troll

He’s 100% right. Your homerism just won’t allow you to see it. UGA fans insists Fields can’t read a defense, can’t play under center, and couldn’t pick up their offense and that’s why he transferred. Yet I’m pretty sure he played in every single game but the UF game. Often at critical times too.

So if he’s all that y’all say, why did your coach keep playing him? There’s really only two answers. Either Kirby is incompetent and chose to play a QB who wasn’t ready pretty much every game. Or Kirby made Fields promises to play him. Those are the two logical choices. Because if Fields is as bad as y’all say he shouldn’t have seen the field for any reason.

This is where we need to use common sense: If Kirby promised Fields precisely what he gave him, why is he leaving?
Because Fields couldn't beat out Fromm (especially tough on his father). Fields started 15-16 games in his high school career and had unreal expectations. It happens all the time.

Again how was Smart’s 1st season at UGA? Didn’t he lose 5 games? You walked right into that one. Pretty dumb comment you just made.
Yes he did... Smart went 8-5 his first year ever as a HC. My response to Ghost's comment about Dan was appropriate.

You know, I’m far from a uga fan but give them their due... they played who was on their schedule. It’s not their fault auburn won the iron bowl. So no asterisk. They won the sec. what’s fair is fair

They both lost to Auburn. So it’s silly to call Alabama out for losing to Auburn when they did too...they got annihilated in fact. Conference schedules are not always even. Literally the only difference between them and Alabama that year was they happened to be in the weaker division which gave them a chance for a rematch. That’s why Alabama still got in the playoffs despite that loss. Nobody legitimately thought Auburn or UGA were better teams. And it played out exactly that way...Alabama proved to be the best team.

The answer is he promised him PT. Not to mention he promised Fields PT to play in a system he’s not even fit for.

So Kirby is already causing you to lower your expectations? LOL

Bama won the NC in 2009. The next year we finished Top 10. Every Bama fan was disappointed that we didn't do better in 2010. Georgia did about the same in 2018 after finishing #2 and winning the SEC in 2017, and you say you'll take it LOL

Then again, we weren't trying to protect our head coach with 'too young' and 'refs cheated us' and 'freshman QB'.
Let’s look at another coach you slobbered all over, shall we? Tell me about Jimbo the FullGrown Midget at aTm. That dude lost FOUR games. He’s a NC winning coach and he lost that much with a team left stocked with 4&5 star talent by Sumlin? For the folks here, you have gone on and on about how great he was going to be there and they would be Bamas true competition. What happened?

Bingo! I suspect that Kirby promised Fields that even if Fromm was the starter, that he would still "find ways to get him on the field".

More than likely, Kirby thought Fields had more potential than Fromm, so he kept playing him because he didn't want him to leave, which ended up happening anyway.

Fields was never a good fit for Georgia's offense, and Kirby should have been smart enough to see that.

its ok dawg, fan everyone knows Dan is a better coach than Kirby, just let it go.

The majority of the Georgia fans are Darryl From Columbus in real life.

Everyone knows where this is headed because everyone understands who Georgia fans are.

Kirby will be defended to the end by the homers here. Then when the end comes......they will immediately flip on him and throw him under the bus and back up and drive over him again.

Same thing they did with Richt, same thing they did with Donnan. They are blindly loyal until he is about to be fired, then they completely hate him.

Every criticism we are telling them about Kirby now (that they are denying) will be the SAME reasons they will claim in the end for why he had to be fired.

Again, everyone here knows where this is headed.

So you have first hand knowledge as well? I’m amazed at how well connected you guys are to the Fields family.

Did Kirby promise Fields playing time? I hope not, Saban certainly taught him better than that.

I do think Kirby sold Fields on what his role would be with Georgia in 2018, and by the end of the season it seems Fields didn't think Kirby's promises became reality.

Logic tells me that if Fields wasn't doing what Kirby wanted him to do, then he wouldn't have been on the field as much as he was and again......with the SECCG on the line, Kirby put the ball in Fields' hands, not in Fromm's.

Give us a logical explanation then. According to y’all Fields couldn’t play under center or read a defense and wasn’t ready, yet he played in every game. What’s the reason? Either your coach chose to continue to play a QB who wasn’t ready or he played him for another reason.

And btw I don’t know Fields directly, but I do know people who know him up in Kennesaw. He lived right up the street from me. And he was sold on being the guy to get UGA over the hump and told they needed someone who could be a playmaker at the position, something Fromm is not. He was told he’d have a role in the offense from day 1. I don’t think he imagined that role would be as a bootleg fullback though.

Well yeah, we all thought he was going to be the guy at some point. I honestly thought he would beat out Fromm. But I’m pretty sure Kirby didn’t tell him he was going to be the guy day one. I’m almost certain - I say almost because I don’t know everything like you - Kirby told him he would have the opportunity day one to beat out Fromm, which didn’t happen. But carry on with your conspiracy theories...

Yet by all accounts Dwan Mathis is adapting quite well and impressing the coaches

His family reportedly asked Kirby not to change the offense or create a package for Justin. He couldn’t outperform Jake. It’s just that simple. Tebow said it was a mistake for Firlds to not ask to be treated differently. Worked out pretty well for Tebow.

What? Everything he said makes complete sense. Especially the part about Fields being sold on being the playmaker that Georgia's offense needed to take it to the next level. Fromm is a prototypical pocket passer. He's not at all a 'playmaker' at the position like Fields is.

I'll say this: I'm pretty sure Kirby didn't want him to leave.

That was obvious from the way Fields was used in the sec title game. Totally baffling play calling and needless insertion into the game to just scramble around after all the rumors leading up to the game of him wanting to transfer. Looked like desperation to keep him on the team.

Where did I say anything about him being told he would be the guy day one? Every other post is you contradicting yourself or pulling shit out of thin air. You’re really the worst.

Yes because he didn’t want to be used as a glorified running back. He’s a talented passer and wanted to actually throw the ball downfield. Instead he got inserted into game after game to hand off or run option plays. That’s why he left. It had nothing to do with not being able to beat out Fromm. If he was scared of competing against Fromm he wouldn’t have went there to begin with. They were pissed he burned a year to handoff.

Not sure how much you saw of him. What I saw was the times he dropped back he quickly pulled it down and ran. No way he went thru his progressions that quickly. Showed a lack of readiness and confidence in what he was doing.

Well you keep implying that Kirby made all of these promises to him. Enlighten us on all these promises since you seem to know it all.

And stop being so angry and combative in your responses. Forget to take your meds today?

So are you agreeing with me on something?

Notice how the dawg homers keep claiming that Fields sucked all year........yet Kirby kept playing him all year.

If Fields sucked as a player all year, then Kirby sucked as a coach all year for continuing to play him.

This isn't that hard, boys.

Lol, who said he sucked? I think people have said he wasn’t ready. And yes, he’s probably better suited for a Mickey Mouse offense like urban and Dan’s.

So Kirby spent all year playing a player who you just admitted wasn't ready to see the field.

Every time you post you make Kirby look even more incompetent LOL

I didn’t imply shit, your reading comprehension sucks.

So then don’t play him. A lot of people don’t know that he was willing to redshirt and actually even preferred it. Which was why he went there even while Fromm was established and everyone thought he was crazy. He had no problem waiting his turn.

This narrative that he was some problem child who wanted to be given the job and bounced for that reason is BS. Again if that was his primary objective he wouldn’t have gone there to begin with. There were plenty of schools he could have gone to and started ASAP and he chose to go to a school with an established starter. His entire issue was with how he was used. Straight from people close to him.
