Jumping Ship?

We are sitting at the 79th ranked class for 2022. Hmm and let's be patient?
Right after we landed on the moon, we hired one of the best if not thee best DB Coach in the country from one of our biggest rivals

Look, no need to panic especially before NSD.

But to say its “normal” because its a transition class is disingenuous. Yes transition classes stink, but nothing about hovering around 80
is normal even for a transition class. Again, no sense in evaluating until NSD.

And yes there is a lot of panic, maybe too much. But to demand blind loyalty and not question or disagree with some things is silly.

A fanbase, especially on a message board would in a normal case discuss the good, Corey Raymond, as well as the questionable, HC/OC/QB coach.

This guy was given a huge contract and a ton of money for off field. To expect a few more Corey Raymonds is not being impatient.

I don't think you can just shrug off 4 decomitments in the last 24 hours. The part that's most disconcerting is there decomitting after they talk to Billy.

I hope it changes big time but that is scary how he lost the ones we did have. And anyone thinking this is a good thing show me the last coach that had a terrible transition class that ended up doing big things.

Starting to think this guy read his press clippings too much and doesn't realize blue chippers aren't sun belt recruits.

I had a premonition that by year 5, Alabama will offer Napier $20,000,000 a year after Saban retires....

It was the fifteenth ranked class and a bunch jumped ship. This is literally comcal right now what is going on.
Not sure what that is supposed to mean?? We have the results from that class. Why do we care about on paper? Like 3 players contributed from that class if I recall. Why would we care about on paper when we can now see the actual results? Don’t be ignorant.

It means this guy has been very bad recruiting so far and has ran off most of the blue chippers we had so far. I hope there is a huge turnaround but no coach has done good in recent memory I know that had a terrible ranked transition class.

Ah the old moving of the goal posts I see?? I think Nick Saban had a bad transition class as well but haven’t looked to verify but what I was told.

No I thought he was a good pick but with what is going on if it doesn't change quickly I have no problem saying we were wrong and something he is doing is screwed up.

Youre right.

Napier has destroyed what was going to be a great class for us.

it was all looking so good.

right?

Saban and all of them had highly ranked transition classes. They didn't destroy the ranking when they took over

Have you ever considered that he's telling them where they stand? Have you considered the players Mullen has recruited?

Are you even considering the recruits that he and the rest of our fledgling staff are focusing on?

In your head Billy went to Evers and tried to pitch him into staying (even though he had already said he was going to stay) and that Billy "screwed it up."

You realize he might have gone out there to talk about the future with him and the Evers family realized he wasn't a part of it because...you know....Billy may have basically said it.

No nuance with you as per usual.

What effing ranking are you taking about? We were having decommits when Dan got fired and the class was already bad.

What is wrong with you?

Well almost all coaches have terrible transition classes, and its worse with ESD.

Now losing this kid puts us real thin at WR

Its unfair to speak until NSD and then on top of it see what he does in the portal.

kids are leaving but he will add some. We won’t finish 14th in the SEC where we stand now, that I promise you

What in the hell is your obsession with "on paper?"

That literally means nothing.

Please look up the word 'literally' if you're unaware.
My point is all good coaches had pretty good ranked transition classes. This guy so far is making Mac and Mullen's T classes look crazy good compared to him.

It's insane how you can miss the point.

IT WAS A BAD CLASS WITH A DOZEN OR LESS COMMITS THE DAY NAPIER TOOK OVER.

What in the world?

Meyer inherited a stable class. Muschamp inherited a decent class with a lot of "Florida has just won a lot lately" bias to it, Mac ended up signing almost the entire class with commits in mid January and early February.

You can't pretend to be this recruitnik guy and be as thick as a hickory stump.

Fever, to paraphrase his presser

“We aren’t going to rush for kids we can’t evaluate before ESD, we will focus on kids who don’t sign early and the portal”

That seems logical

We'll have the money as always, and he will be to Florida as Saban was to Alabama. Just get ready to pay a fortune to walk into the Swamp in the upcoming years. There's something special about Napier I can feel it!
