In before the gun confiscation NUTS.....

And that's not even considering twitter or facebook.
Ummmm....a website and presences on Twitter and Facebook are SOP. Every business/org/guy selling on ebay does that.

This is not the vast promotional empire that you claimed the 'gun companies' had that they were leveraging to dump unprecedented amounts of propaganda onto the world.

This is you once again proving you are totally clueless and your mania over an inanimate object is completely absurd.

But you did get the NRA's website a backlink from Rivals.com, so their SEO team will be sending you a Christmas card for that. See what I mean? You do more to help the 'gun companies' than anyone here LOL

Yep. Glad we agree that businesses market their products.

Now that you mention it, I wonder if there are any other businesses that have such passionate customer base? I can't think of any. Maybe something religion-related like the Scientologists.

You said the NRA has this vast promotional empire that's so massive they can use it to fool a great part of America and the world into buying inanimate objects that they don't need.

You said this vast promotional empire that the NRA has consists of a website, and an account on Facebook or Twitter.

Anything else?

Are you denying the gun industry aggressively lobbies for their business?

If all they have is a website, a Twitter and Facebook account, how aggressive can they be?

You started this rant by claiming that the NRA has such a vast promotional empire that they are literally able to trick unsuspecting Americans into buying an inanimate object that they don't need.

The best part? In the course of your rant, you linked to the NRA's website. In the process, you unwittingly gave the NRA a backlink from Rivals.com, which will improve their Domain Authority with Google, and actually allow them to make more money off ads on their site.

IOW, the NRA tricked you into helping them make money. Isn't it just a beautiful thing to see?

So did they come to you or did you have to go find them? I know the NRA has a website, I've never been there though...and I've never heard of the other two organizations.

Am I a failure as a "gun nut"?

You do understand that in order for propaganda to take root and be effective, it has to be intentionally spread, correct?

Behind the scenes, sure. I bet the coal industry does the same. That's much different than the picture you paint of incessant streams of propaganda flooding our daily lives (which you've still not provided any proof of) and converting normal, good people into "gun nuts".

An industry lobbying for its survival in the face of threats from top politicians isn't inherently bad, it's smart. It's also a big part of a Representative Republic.

What are they supposed to do, stay on the porch and let liberals eviscerate the Constitution?

You're absolutely correct. Many college football FANatics are so blinded by their passion they think their team is running a clean ship while their rivals are cheating right and left. And the refs....OMG......they are cheating us out of wins. And my team has the best uniforms and the best stadium and the best band.....yada yada yada.

You asked about industries with passionate fanbases...there are many more passionate than "gun nuts".

And you're on a forum for one of them and don't realize it, because you're demonized people who support the 2A.

It exists and therefore people who don't 100% agree with Theo are in a cult.

I'm surprised you've never heard of 2nd Amendment foundation.

I myself have never heard of the middle one.

Sorry, not biting. I've seen you use this approach many, many times. Your no response response is fine by me and honestly expected at this point.
A reasonable and honest conversation about this topic would lead him to admit that guns are an inanimate object, and that the best way to address gun violence lies in changing the behavior of the criminal, not the law-abiding citizen.

He isn't emotionally mature enough to do either of those things, so he trolls.

He's literally destroying his argument as quickly as he spins it. We are venturing into Ray Ray territory now.

It doesn't make any difference that a gun is an inanimate object. It's a killing machine.....and it's used for that purpose.....multiple times every day.

And before you throw out red herrings about knives, cars and baseball bats.....those aren't killing machines.....they are designed for other purposes and used, almost exclusively, for those purposes.

What if you kill a person with a gun designed specifically for the shooting range?

There are guns designed for competitive shooters that are very impractical for self-defense and they certainly aren't designed for that purpose. If you kill someone with one of those instead of the scarier ones designed to kill things, is that different?

Your argument is tantamount to a water bottle made of wicker. It's hilarious tbh.

Does the gun designed specifically for the shooting range fire out a projectile at high speed?

If so, then yes, it's just like the other guns.
