In before the gun confiscation NUTS.....

It is damn difficult to be proactive with these people. How do we stop them before they act? It's frustrating for the public and I get that. It's frustrating for LE as well.

The alternative really leans into habeas corpus...and that's a problem. IMO the solution is we reopen the looney bins.
No one wants to do that...even if they did, putting trans in them would cause all kinds of turmoil

You're wasting your words. If you want to restrict guns in any way, they've been brainwashed to believe you want to confiscate all guns.

They truly can't help it. They're only allowed to believe certain things. It's like trying to have a discussion with one of the Manson women.

You should buy a mirror. Having a conversation with you on this subject is no picnic either.

Seriously, I totally understand why the gun companies have trained you to take the focus off of guns.

But, rational people realize that every single instance of gun violence....every single one in history....involves a gun.

Gun violence isn't about knives or cars or baseball bats. Gun violence is about guns.

Everyone who disagrees with you is irrational and they've been brainwashed by gun companies.

You're entirely intransigent and passive-aggressive on this subject. Sometimes people just disagree. Opposing viewpoints do not require irrationality or brainwashing.

If they were Oath Keepers they'd be in jail.

He still hasn't answered the question of how reducing the number of guns I have stops me from being a mass shooter.

My paranoia, cowardice, and small penis notwithstanding.

Too many variables the left prefers not to discuss or face. This shooting will dissappear in the MSM quickly.

It's not the viewpoint. It's the fanaticism.

Some of you actually try to argue that guns aren't a problem. That's insane.

This is So easily proven, but you are not even remotely bright enough to understand. A gun cannot fire without a PERSON pulling the trigger. A gun is an inanimate object. Same with a rock. Rocks never hurt anyone until some outside force moves them. Same with guns. Rocks can actually fall and Jill someone on their own. Guns cannot. Guns are therefore safer than rocks. Until the wrong person touches that gun. The PERSON is the problem, NOT THE GUN. SO simple even a caveman understands this. Yet I believe you will not. Unbelievable someone can be so thick headed.

Ours or yours?

Your position is that many disturbed people use guns as their weapons of choice. I get it, you're blaming the weapon. I don't agree with your assessment.

I'm not gun crazy. I could own many more guns if I so desired. They're tools, nothing more, nothing less. I'm not brainwashed by gun companies.

If I'm brainwashed by anything, it's the 2nd amendment.

You guys are the kings of strawmen.

Has anyone ever said that reducing the number of guns in circulation will end mass shootings?

We also have college professors saying that it would be more noble to murder a federal judge that you disagree with than it would be to shout him down.

And we wonder why we're experiencing an uptick in this type of violence?

Did you even attempt to understand his point or did you immediately go for the gotcha instead?
The 'point' is ridiculous.

A bottle of fentanyl is an 'inanimate object'. Does that in any way diminish the danger the drug presents?

Can you direct me to the posts?

Obviously, reducing guns isn't going to END gun crime.
One of them is in this thread. The other is in the thread I created to discuss your ridiculously unconservative take on the 2nd amendment and I bet if I could remember the name of the thread that we originally discussed it you did it there too probably.

Do you get that Karl Marx didn't believe in gun control? Nobody is on your side on this except for the new guy.

Raise better people and make guns harder to attain.

All countries have guns. We have WAY more than anyone.

As long as we have guns, there will be gun violence.

I’m confident we could minimize it if we could start going in the same direction.

Raise better kids.

Put criminals in jail and keep them there.

Drastically reduce the ridiculous number of guns in circulation.
There's 3 to start with.

Republican led states need to make a law that even these smaller private schools have to employ an armed security gaurd at the school or have some teachers that are armed and given some training. We know the Dems wont use common sense here.

You may disagree, and I'm fine with it if you do, but if the gun is eliminated (yes, I realize that you want to reduce, not eliminate...for now) then I promise you that you will see an uptick in murders with edged weapons, bludgeoning weapons and personal weapons (hands, fist, feet).

Will this uptick match the reduction in gun murders? That's tough to say.

One other thing to consider...included in the gun homicide numbers are justifiable homicides (i.e. legal use of your gun) and suicides.

My God...you are VERY close to as dumb as a red brick posting garbage like this. May I point out your stupidity? fentanyl can kill someone just getting close to it. It does not have to be ingested. Oh....let me ALSO point out Fentanyl is ILLEGAL...yet people still git killed WAY more by it, than with guns(this example really did not work out very well for you theo) Fentanyl is NOT protected by our Constitution. Fentanyl CANNOTY protect others from crazy people intended to do harm to innocent people. Theo...yes or no...do I need to continue? Do you understand now? FFS son...NO ONE is this thick headed. I just DESTROYED your idiotic comment, and could keep going.....

The gun is the bad guy’s tool of choice for a reason. It’s designed to be a killing machine. It works way better than those other weapons..

I think most Rep run states have at least teachers armed now at the public schools that dont have resource officers or armed security but you can write the law applying it to all schools.
Resource officers are useless if they run. And they have been lately.

Whether they are volunteers or paid, as long as there are federally mandated gun free zones there needs to be armed security watching over them. Armed teachers and resource officers aren't cutting it.

Fentanyl...excellent example friend.

If we somehow eliminate Fentanyl, will we end drug addiction and drug overdose? Or will we simply eliminate drug overdose by Fentanyl?

You focused on the gotcha and ignored everything else. This is why I'm saying "we just disagree." I can't possibly have a conversation with you about this if you simply refuse to acknowledge that I have a legitimate point of view. I absolutely recognize that you have a legitimate POV...I just think you're wrong. You, OTOH, believe I'm a gun nut who has been brainwashed by gun companies.

It's certainly more efficient. That's also why responsible gun owners choose them for self defense.

Theo...there is a HUGE point that you are missing. There is EVIL in our world. Making things illegal, whatever it may be will NOT rid our world of evil. As Bama says...guns are just tools. You can kill with a hammer. Evil people will find whateveer they need to to do evil. I would guess if we took EVERY gun out of our Country....knives, bow and arrows, explosives, gasoline, poisons, and probably fifty other things would fill their need. Evil EXISTS...guns are NOT evil. Mine are SO nice...I am sure if you met my guns...you would love them as I do! We CAN curve evilness...and the results would be so much better than trying to get rid of something that without an evil person behind it...CANNOT POSSIBLY harm a soul

People are starting to realize this and the push is to have better trained Resource Officers at the schools rather than the LEO who is at the end of a very long career.

My concern...how long before the shine wears off? It's a hot-button issue today and money, resources and people are easier to come by. Buy holy crap, a school resource officer is a boring job so who will want to do it? "And couldn't that money be better spent on _____?"

You cant totally account for human nature but my guess is the chances a school gets targeted where there are armed teachers especially is less and also other armed personnel. I have confidence in my county you would never have an incident like that TX one either. They rotate that duty and there is no ifs ands or buts you go to take the shooter out. Some counties are bad for putting dead weight in the schools though instead of rotating that position often.
