I agree with you, criminals are not going to buy guns legally. Can we try to solve the issue of the incel committing mass murder at schools as a first step or compromise? Most of these kids post on social media with tons of warning signs.

You're being a drama queen. Having background checks is not the same as confiscating guns.
No country has in their guaranteed rights the right for the government to wield an army. That's a given. The 2nd guarantees the populace to be their own militia. There lies the difference. The first thing a despot does is confiscate the public's weapons. It's settled history.
100% agree...we already have laws that ae ignored. I have ZERO problems with laws that keep guns from law breakers, mental issues etc. I have SERIOUS problems with people who want to restrict people who are GUARANTEED this right by our founding fathers...who have never broke a law in their life.

It is damn difficult to be proactive with these people. How do we stop them before they act? It's frustrating for the public and I get that. It's frustrating for LE as well.
The alternative really leans into habeas corpus...and that's a problem. IMO the solution is we reopen the looney bins.
