Look I know they are not in a major conference, and it is not the same thing, but their coach literally came from HS and has an offense and wins games. FSU was obviously horrible during the early years of the rivalry. Losing to UF back then was a disgrace to any team, but the Noles did it often. UF had never won their own conference much less a National title. Kentucky had a stronger program on paper than the Gators. So yes. Long ago UF owned the series. Congrats.

This is the point I've been trying to make.
Florida has had the weakest schedule that anyone can remember and yet we can't score. Meanwhile offense is at an all time high all over the country.

Playcalling nor OC changes nor recruiting will make any difference if we don't modernize the offense and take advantage of the type of players that are coming out of HS these days. We can't recruit because the best players don't fit what we're trying to run.

College Football 'modern era' is post 1950.

We're not talking about 1870-1950, when schools like Princeton ruled the football world.
UGA owns UF going back to 1904, but UF owns UGA since 1950.

And UF has a distinct disadvantage vs FSU. With the game at the end of the season, UF has been beat up all season long with a brutal SEC schedule, while the criminoles have mostly skated through the All Cupcake Conference, perfecting their game plans for UF.

I'd love to see the UF-FSU game moved to the 2-3 game of the season, to put us a bit closer to an level field, instead of UF arriving for our game minus 9-12 injured starters.

Again, just like with Daz, you have some of the best offensive talent, if not THE best, and the play calling was as bland and predictable as it got.

Having Tebow, Harvim, Hernandez, the Pounceys etc makes up for poor play calling.
