State funded schools would be required to have OTA option for viewing.
Streaming services must offer prorated service. Say I subscribe every sat and cancel at 11:59pm then for Sling I would pay ~ $2 per game. Now If I could just pay for SEC network and watch every game. I would happily pay 10-20/mo without the thrashing of signing up and cancelling.
Scheduled ad breaks would not exceed 3/hr and can not last over 5 min.
Injury and team time outs may not exceed the time allotted or needed for the injury.
I have no sympathy for ESPN or Disney as my original Sling bill was $20/mo and ABC/Go/Diz/ESPN are the reason its over 50/mo now. I went to Sling because DISH was already being forced by Diz to charge ~$70/mo. I only do Sling during Football Season. There should be an ala cart option for SEC network and it should be the same as the packed deal price per customer. No monkey business to force people into crap they do not want.
Maybe the best thing to do is allow all the networks to carry every game and let them figure out how to appeal to their customer to make sure they have eyes on the game. Heck OTA has all kinds of sub channels so why not one devoted to your local power 5 schools games?
