Sure didn't expect a 12-4 win tonight. I knew we had a good chance the way we swing the bats, but UF has a fine pitching staff. Still 2 games to play, anything can happen. LSU wins over MSU 3-1 in the 1st game of that series.

And that grand slam came with 2 strikes. I think it was 1-2 or 2-2. That guy hit a good pitch. What can you do? Credit to the UK lineup, they were on base all night. Seemed like every inning was first and second with no outs. Ocala is right that we're in trouble if we don't get good starts from our top 3. We don't have 10 different guys coming out of the pen throwing mid-90s this year. Faedo has been great, but he does put some guys on. He's just great at getting out of trouble, but UK made him pay. I'd be surprised if we run into too many lineups better than that one even in the postseason. Luckily we've got studs going today and tomorrow, and our offense is still generating plenty of baserunners.
One game out of this series might keep us in the top 8. Do the conference tourneys factor into the seeding?
The NCAA committee waits until all games have been played before releasing the tourney brackets, so the conference tournaments are taken into consideration. This year's conference tournaments could mean more than most in finalizing the seedings.

Just curious will the SEC and/or the NCAA do anything to the U.K. Coach for going after the Umpire like he did then getting ejected? Is there an automatic sit out for the Coach the next game? I don't know the rules well in this area of NCAA baseball because you don't see an NCAA coach get ejected that often. Heck you hardly ever see a coach go after an umpire like the U.K. coach did tonight in the NCAA.
Never mind I just read it. Guess that Coach will be taking off tomorrow and be heading back to U.K. tonight because he has to serve a one game suspension the very next game after the ejection. Bet that Coach is going to feel stupid after seeing the video, the ball wasn't close.
I am very impressed with Kentucky hitting from top to bottom in their lineup. That's what makes Singer's performance so impressive tonight. Will be interesting to see how Kowar holds up tomorrow.
Yep. Curious two game stretch. Each team bludgeoned the other. UK kicked our butts Thursday and we returned the favor last night. Not sure what your coach was thinking, get thrown out over a call that was not all that controversial.

Getting dismantled was a surprise but to anyone who has followed UK baseball knows that the 2nd game in any series this year has been a struggle.
And, when you have a top reliever out for an extended time it makes it difficult to go the BP early.

Gutty group of guys. Great coaching job by O'Sullivan this year. Congrats on another SEC title!! Maldanado & Kowar were huge today. Different days, different guys stepping up.

LSU up on Miss. St. 5-4 in the 4th. If LSU wins they tie us for SEC title. Lose and UF wins outright. Seedings already set for SEC tournament. UF is #1 seed based on beating LSU 2 out of 3 and plays winner of Auburn/Ole Miss at 4:30 Wednesday. Win that game and they play Miss. St/Georgia vs. Arkansas winner on Thursday.

Of course, the tiebreaker only counts for SEC-T seeding. Both teams go in the record books as SEC regular season champs
That's the rules. UF beating them 2 out of 3 during the regular season only matters for seeding in the SEC Tournament. The record books will showed a shared title.
