Dude I don’t get it either. I’ve given up expecting logical calls from this staff.
Franks and Tyrie seem to have great chemistry and communication.

It was intended to prevent head-hunting. But the three I’ve seen today are silly.
The Arky game where the returner never called a fair catch, Vosean just now and that awful call against FSU because after the linebacker stuck his hands up to block the pass, his forearm hit the QB in the helmet.

I don't know what to think at the half. Just glad we're not behind. The O-line looks better run blocking, but not so good pass blocking. This defense is showing it is not nearly as good as last year's. I scratch my head at some of things we did the first half, but just pull for the good guys to pull it out. Kentucky seems to be willing to help us win, like they've done a few times during the 30 year streak.
Here's my thoughts on the first half: Nuss is literally the worst play caller I've ever seen. Scared to death to take chances with a young QB, and then runs the ball on 3rd and 6. Mind boggling idiotic play call. He just got lucky that no one on Kentucky was paying attention on that 4th down play. This whole coaching staff wins 90% of their games on shear luck, whether it's because the other team does something stupid or misses a bunch of FGs. McElwain and Nuss are both total idiots, though.
It's beneath me as a Gator to sit here and have to gut out a close game against Kentucky. I hope whoever we hire next knows what Gator football looks like. Because this ain't it.
Florida has been gutting out games against UK for years now. Last true blowout was about 8 years ago. We're just not very good anymore.
Did y’all see that play they just drew up showing how UK scored? Their TE singled up on our walk-on linebacker who has both run fit and pass responsibility. Almost an impossible situation. Now tell me how Shannon isn’t terrible. That’s the type of stuff I’ve been talking about. Off alignment alone we lost the play presnap.
McElwain is going to break both the Tennessee streak and UK streak. In fact, he should be 0-3 against UT right now as a coach. Goddamn, this staff is clueless. Absolutely abysmal on both sides of the ball. I hope they get blown out this game and go 4-8 so McElwain's clueless arse is out of Gainesville along with Nuss.
Everyone hated Collins when he was here, but at least he showed some semblance of creativity on defense. Shannon just sits there like a buffoon.
They were playing him even before Joseph went out. Part of the stupid rotation we do where we wholesale change out the units. So amateur.
Sick of this pee wee league play calling. I’m telling you if Mac or Nuss stays after this season they will only be recruiting Australian football players because nobody in their right mind would come here unless you r a thug!!
To be fair, he has a lot less talent. But some of that is on him too, given he has been a defensive recruiter.
