Chance of Zaire playing for the Gators?

He was aight in that game, that was one of the few i actually watched them because i had money on ND and I ended up winning with that last gasp deep ball miraculously...
The biggest game he won was the bowl game against LSU i assume is what anyone must be talking about... He did alright in that game too with his legs and with his arm.. Nothing great but i mean it is a good defense for his age to have beaten.. He made some good throws showing good arm strength on a few over the middle, something we have had NONE of at all in a LONG time. I'd like to see him come in and be on the roster at least for nothing else but a back up plan though I think he would win the job, and i'd be completely fine with it, sorry but I would and have zero problem with it...

He beat LSU who had the SEC's best defense going into that game. He hits just under 60% of his passes with no picks.
So the big game he won is a game he didn't even start and split time in? Ok then.
He did start and play the majority of that game.
Franks didn't even shine when things were given to him on a silver platter. Even LDR shined when he was given a setup like that and one not as easy as Frank's actually. Mac wouldn't be making these comments and going after him if he had true faith in Franks.
This easy set up you keep referring to isn't factual at alll. Do y'all watch other spring games? There aren't any teams out there running their 1st string offense against their 1st string defense. It's almost always 1's vs. 2's. Why do you act like this is something only happening at UF or acting like it was some dog and pony show to hype up Franks? Not to mention the defense mixed and matched players all night just like both offenses did so he wasn't playing against walkons and other dumb shit the whole night like I keep seeing being typed. I think Fever puts way way too stock into a spring game to be honest whether it is positive or negative. Michigan's QBs were horrendous. Eason didn't look good as well.
Right. Every single team out there is running 1's vs. 2's in their spring game which has been the case since damn near the beginning of time and people are acting like our coaches just did it to prop up Franks. It's ridiculous.

UF used to have two assistant coaches chose up sides with alternating picks, and then play a real Spring game. Steak vs Hot dog was the post game reward vs penalty on the outcome of the game.
Several schools still do it that way, but I'm not interested enough in the subject to research which teams do which, now days.
The UF 'spring-debut' is in fact, a 'means very little' dog & pony show now days.
All it can show anyone now days, is if someone really sucks or not, which imo it did.
Opinions will vary and I'm just fine with that. We'll see in Sept how it works out....
And it isn't anymore...almost anywhere. Why do y'all think that is? Or are all these coaches just idiots who don't know any better?
Two reasons come to mind for me.
1. A very controlled dog & pony show that's used for their own in-house purposes.
2. Maybe to reduce the chance of spring injuries to critical positions...

Michigan had a lot of 1st team O linemen going against 1st team D linemen at times. More than just a few times. I have watched parts of quite a few spring games and when it came to walk on DBs being placed on starting WRs we seem to take the cake. The others I actually looked up the players had at least 2nd team guys covering their starters usually. We just disagree I guess. I am not a big MAC fan but I think he knows we have a big issue at QB if Franks starts. I would rather see Franks thrown out there at first against Michigan than letting LDR start however if Zaire doesn't come here.
They want the 1s to have confidence. Back in the day, the Ds would just eat the Os alive bc practicing against the Os every day, they knew the tendencies. With a good D it was demoralizing to the Os. If the Ds didn't dominate, then there was a massive amount of negativity about the Ds and they were demoralized. This way, both sides get to come out feeling reasonable, having beaten up on 2s and walkons...everyone gets a ribbon on the 1s...damn millennials
When Franks completed the long pass early in the game to Hammond Jr he was being covered by a 2nd team CB in Chris Williamson. Your just making stuff up.
Maybe I missed their numbers, but I thought that it was rsFr 5-9 McAuthur covering Hammond, not Chris, who came running in from the middle of the field after the play was essentially over???
lol - I am making stuff up? Go watch that Spring game and tell me how many times a walk on DB was with the defense when Franks was out there. I saw quite a few out there when that true freshman was in at QB also.

That was one damn play near the end of the half. They swapped out defensive players from the 1st and 2nd team the entire damn night. Go rewatch the damn game. And then complaining about who was on defense when Toney was in? There were 3rd stringers on both sides at that point who gives a shit? Y'all have zero idea what y'all watched and then are biased to boot. One with the Trask infatuation and the other with the Zaire infatuation.
Nothing wrong with pointing out the 1st team was facing mostly 2nd team and many walk on DBs when they were out there. The coaches can do it however they want but I am curious if it was just as bad last year with LDR facing some walk on DBs when he was out there.
We've already established it was 1's vs. 2's. Again...so the hell what? Bama did it, USC did it, Michigan did it, Auburn did it, A&M did it, UGA did it and on and on. Damn near every top team does the same thing every damn spring. To insinuate that our coaches ONLY did it to prop up Franks or the offense is just dumb and annoying. As is saying the 1st offense was out there going against walk on DB's the entire time. It was one play and if you'd watch the game you'd see why it happened. It wasn't something that happened the entire night. Again...they were subbing defenders in from all units throughout the night. Seriously just come out and say you don't like Franks and want Zaire to start and be done with it. It's less annoying than just outright making up shit that didn't happen in the game. This is exactly like y'all saying Franks stared down Calloway on the TD not even knowing the concept of the play was a 2-way read to one side of the field. The narratives y'all have been pushing is beyond annoying at this point especially because it's so uninformed.
