BREAKING: DeSantis to announce Presidential bid tomorrow on Twitter

Conservatives better not throw all of their rocks in one basket here with this guy. He is a businessman. Most successful businessmen I know think only what is best for their business. HOWEVER his push freee speech was actually surprising. But then again...he may have drove down twitter price on purpose to buy it! LOL But he is NOT a conservative...he is an ELITE

As long as he doesn't back off on how he changed Twitter I will like him for that but like other big business people a lot of his interests don't line up with most voters. DeSantis won't rock that boat though as he is bought and paid for now.

Awful lot of effort for the guy 30 points and falling further behind ain't it?
Well, he wasn't actually a candidate until now but we'll see.

Maybe he will fail miserably but maybe he'll be able to pass himself off as a more professional (less widely hated) version of Trump.

My point was if he's done and doesn't stand a chance why is the Trump campaign still in scorched earth, no holds barred, full court press mode?

Because they have 200 million+ to spend.
Spending 200 million because, reasons is not something I want to see in a conservative republican candidate.

It also doesn't ring true.

The guy who used to type a mean tweet with one hand while packing the benches with conservative judges with the other is suddenly beating a dead horse for fun?

Why?

Because he is the ONLY person with a chance. And yes..he has a chance...better than most admit. The cabal and the establishment are not done here yet, and they are VERY powerful.

Because that's absolutely what America needs right now. A 50-point loser that doesn't send Mean Tweets.

Its because of their funding and because Trump knows he has to cut him off from the base. Before Trump really went after DeSantis he was polling pretty close to Trump. I doubt that money can get the base vote back though as Trump has pretty effectively branded DeSantis in bed with the establishment to his base.

Trump doesn't deserve the credit for that. DeSantis is the one that chose to get in bed with the RINOs. Yes, Trump was wise af to point that out and beat him over the head with it, but if DeSantis doesn't do it, Trump can't say he did.

DeSantis screwed DeSantis.

Where I see DeSantis's problem even BEFORE he signed with the devil...Trumps poling at over 52% against all these candidates. Trumps base is STRONG...do not see many bailing, so it is going to be VERY hard without some outside BS interference for anyone to beat him. He is WAY more popular than the media and lefties..who ALLK fear him, would like for you to believe.

Because that’s how campaigns work. He is in second, so you expect folks to just do nothing? A predator doesn’t stop attacking it’s prey until it’s prey is finished.

Come on man.

Oh, how’s it going?

I need to heed this advice...however Prime strip steak and tenderloin REALLY tastes good...especially cooked in butter in a cast iron skillet! (with red wine of course!) LOL
Leave the prime rib and tenderloin in, and get rid of all ADDED sugar, processed white pasta, processed white breads....really no processed grain of any kind. Meat, natural fresh fruit, natural fresh veggies, and any variety of nuts ( except for maybe peanuts ). Shit will change your life. Dont eat the corporate sludge, stick what God gives us from the ground, pasture, ocean and forest.

From thirty points behind?

SOS would pull up. It might twitch a bit but it's dead.
It’s twitching, the gazelles leg is broken, the Lion will attack relentlessly until it’s dead, and the lions belly is full.

That’s the way it works.

Fun Fact: Sometimes, after a male Lion takes over a new Pride, it will even Kill the Cubs to sow its oats.

I wonder if that’s why this is happening?

Lions start eating before the prey is dead.

And they kill the cubs to end that genetic line and send all the females into estrus simultaneously.

Every time Trump reminds us that DeSantis is in bed with the RINOs, his poll numbers jump. Not sure what's confusing here.

I live in Florida, and I have school aged children...I know exactly what I am talking about. Had it not been for Ron, and MOST IMPORTANT the great people of Florida, we would be living under cOVID tyranny until this very day. I was there, I saw it, I lived it
I agree. I live in MD and my kids had a little over 1.5 school years of remote learning. And some counties went a full 2 years+. It was a total joke. There was zero advance learning going on. All students received the same "packets" to work on. And even though they had "class" for 4 hours a day, there was NO homework. And when they finalyy got to go back to school, social distancing and masks were MANDATORY for 1 year.

Yep. So again, they continue their ferocious attack until dead. Thanks for helping.

Hopefully you now understand why someone 30 points down (a wounded animal), is still being attacked.

I think we can now move on from that question as it has been answered.

As for your second point on Lions, yes…but there is more to this infanticide. It’s also part of survival of the fittest. Sometimes the Moms will try to hide their cubs so they will survive long enough to be taken in by the surviving male.

I loved all the things RDS had to say on the launch last night. I dont even think that the technical problems were a big deal. I am not sure that Ron has the personality and charisma required to finish the job here. As right as he is, sometime Ron sounds like what unsalted dry rice tastes like. He needs to bring in the Nature Boy Ric Flair to brush up those mic skills.

The technical difficulties were a big deal from the perspective of listeners that gave up, and optics. Not a big deal necessarily, but it continues a trend of “glitches” in planning, and provides more fuel for the fire. As if Trump needed it. Lol.
As for your point on charisma, it is a massive deal. He just doesn’t have IT. I remember wanting Ben Carson in 2016. He was the smartest guy in the field, would have made a fine president, and was a damn good man. Unfortunately, it was like listening to a recorded sermon drone on and on when listening to him. Charisma and IT were his downfall.

That’s where Ron is now, he keeps having these hiccups where things don’t go well, and his IT factor just isn’t there.

The decision to launch on twitter is bizarre to me. People keep saying the glitch was because of how many people were trying to participate. Maybe, but I listen to a ton of political spaces on twitter, and can tell you they glitch alot. And with far less participation…..Ranging from a couple hundred connections to 30k.

Yeah, as far as the glitches...I obviously had hoped for better, but I think he was trying something no one has really done before ( as I have said, he is a significant underdog in the primary and needs an inside straight draw so to say ). So I understand rolling the dice on something new that may not work well looking for the lightening in bottle. I think once twitter ( and other free speech social media ) get these things ironed out, conservtives should lean into this to cut out legacy media all together. It didnt work out last night, but we should keep after this in the future.

It's a bad metaphor. Trump wants him out of the race, not out of politics. He still has to be governor and if enough people turn against him that doesn't benefit Florida. That's been my point all along.

Hide them where there's like six trees per square mile?

As to that young lady, I'm guessing someone wanted a raise on their allowance and didn't get it?

He had to launch on Twitter. Because of Trump.

In a perfect world, the best way to do this would have been in a Town Hall on Fox. Hand-picked an audience of DeSantis supporters, and hand-pick Fox anchors that are fans to ask him loaded questions. He gets to promote his vision and the hosts and audience gush over him as he does.

But he couldn't do that, cause Trump did a Town Hall on CNN that did massive numbers. Looking back, it's pretty obvious Trump did the Town Hall to force DeSantis to do something else.

If he does a Town Hall, then he has to get at LEAST 3.2 Million viewers. If he doesn't, then Trump beat him. And the last thing he could have was a Trump Town Hall topping his officially opening his campaign.

So Twitter was about the only viable alternative. I thought he did the best he could, he was too scripted at the start, but then they started bringing in some sympathetic guests to talk about his work in Florida, which I thought was a nice touch.

But low (Jeb) energy and little personality. I had to leave after about 20 mins.
