There’s only so much he can do. He’s focused on gas prices. Remember when Trump said he was going to eliminate the trade deficit with China? How did that work out
But you lost me when you said Russia wouldn’t have invaded Ukraine under any other president. LOL. And I’ll bet Putin now regrets it seeing how Ukraine is handing them their hat with our leadership. That’s why China won’t do shit about Taiwan other than make noises.

Honest question, I've wondered about this for a while.
I sincerely hope so. I know the green keep-it-in-the ground is going bonkers over this project and want it killed.
It’s tough having to sit on both sides of the fence.
BSC is the accountant who can better educate us on this topic, but my understanding is that most of these "lucrative tax breaks" are simply deductions of business expenses that are available to other companies in other industries.
I know there are rules in place to allow Oil and Gas companies to deduct their exploration expenses on a somewhat favorable basis, but this is to incentivize exploration to maintain production.
At some point even the slowest of the slow learns that fire is painful.

We write off business expenses as well so the idea of O&G writing off exploration expenses seems entirely reasonable.

The Willow project area holds an estimated 600 million barrels of oil, or more than the amount currently held in the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve, the country's emergency supply.
If he approves it he'll probably just sell it China like the reserves.
