Here is my opinion on the Biden admiration accomplishments and failures. This isn't a thread for me to reply and debate with the righties, just something to post so that you guys can refer to instead of asking me daily. which is really annoying.

    • Included police aid
    • Child tax credit was good for low-income people
  • Federal judges

  • Reduced unemployment
  • Foreign policy
  • KBJ
  • Police Reform (Federal)
  • Lead the charge to open schools

  • Drug seizures at the border is up
  • Better treatment of children at the border
  • Attempted to get voting rights done
  • Federal guidelines improved

Failures
  • Border is too active with people trying to enter the country
  • Merrick Garland
  • BBB failure
  • Afghanistan withdrawal
  • covid messaging
  • refusal to do a tax holiday to help with gas prices

good grief this has to be a troll 😈

Here's a great example of Kalim logic.
On the achievement list is that the justice department is respectable again
On the failures list is Merrick Garland

But Merrick Garland runs the justice department

And Kalim says we are hard to understand. Duh.

Accomplishments list--- Foreign policy
Failures list----Afghanistan withdrawal

Afghanistan moved to Hoboken, NJ

Kalim,

I will take a pass and try to be generous, but it is hard. Biden is trending towards the worst president in modern memory.

Failures:

1. Inflation
2. Border
3. Crime
4. Afghanistan
5. School closures
6. Mask and Vaccine mandates
7. Covid-19 relief bill for those making above $40-50K/year
8. Teenage suicide
9. Test Kit and Antiviral availability
10. Baby Formula
11. Multiple gaffes *not strategic ambiguity* on Taiwan

Successes:
1. Covid vaccine rollout and messaging
2. Inclusion - KBJ
3. Infrastucture Bill
4. Federal judge killing mask mandates on plane;
5. Ukraine (mixed)

And the only reason he gets the infrastructure bill was with REPUBLICAN help. He could have had it 6 months earlier except trying to coddle his left wing base with that bbb monstrosity. Look where inflation would be with passage of that pos.

Let's put baby formula on your list. This is a travesty that shelves are bare and the U.S. has to import the stuff like a third world country. The problem became known last October.

Spot on across the above. I will give him credit for his (nearly only) time working across the aisle.

Regarding police reform (federal) on the accomplishments list, I guess Kalim forgot that much of that was in Tim Scott's bill when Trump was in office. So the dems FILIBUSTERED it. Ya know, that racist political device. But no, let's not accomplish anything that would give Trump any credit even to provide police reform. But the real reason had to be that the real racist party wasn't gonna let a black man who dared to leave dem slavery get any credit.

I'll not rehash what everyone else said, but there is another glaring error.

Build Back Broke's listing as a failure is under the wrong heading. That's one of his successes. 😂

When a negative becomes a positive. 😂

I guess Kalim never got the memo or MSNBC and CNN didn't tell him that the great accomplishment of spending 1.9 trillion has led us to the inflation cliff we are experiencing. Kind of rich giving the democrat party credit for spending large amounts of money when it's the only thing they know how to do.

Just yesterday, Janet Yellen:
We were wrong, Biden's an idiot. 😂

My favorite "achievement" is student loan forgiveness. If you think education is expensive now, wait till it's free.

The biggest laugh? Justice Department is respectable again.
Here's the insanity in that...

Why is college expensive? Well we apparently decided as a society that everyone was entitled to a college degree. Helpful as always, the gov't comes in with guaranteed loans with really low rates. So everyone can now go to college and rack up what used to be a modest amount of debt.

Understanding that HS grads now have a warchest to pay for school now, what do you think colleges do? Well they jack up their rates and start improving their campuses, spending all of this windfall and increasing the overhead to provide a college education. Furthermore, now that more people go to college the value of a college education is now diminished.

So what's the fix? Well the gov't of course, they'll step in and "forgive" the loans they gave out to make the pain of 200k in debt with 40k/year earning power go away.

Every time the gov't subsidizes something it gets more expensive, and as you point out when they go full on ownership it explodes in cost. Liberals never think to question. They hang on to "everyone should be able to go to college" as if there was a law in the past preventing people from working hard and taking out private loans to do so.

My goodness this is a terrible take.

Successes:
1. Covid vaccine rollout and messaging
Really? The increase in vaccine manufacturing was already in place and all he did was push for Federal Mandates that caused pushback, lawsuits and resistance. Had he continued to push freedom of choice, and pushed FDA/Fauci to approve additional tech there would be many more vaccinated. As an example, NovaVax still isn't approved months later despite widespread acceptance around the world.
Now - if you argue people getting vaxxed is a bad thing you may be onto something, but I don't think that's what you meant.
2. Inclusion - KBJ
A woke socialist who is unqualified isn't a success, I don't care what minority group she belongs to. See Sotomayor's comments on children and Covid, which were ill informed and potentially dangerously ignorant. This won't end well...her ridiculous responses in her confirmation hearings turned into viral memes.
3. Infrastucture Bill
Oh you mean the $2T of printed money that focused on Green New Deal initiatives and helped spike inflation? Well thank God he did that...I'd be interested to hear all the good that bill did. It certainly didn't help anyone around me.
4. Federal judge killing mask mandates on plane
Biden is now challenging that ruling - that's a success for us but a failure for him.
5. Ukraine (mixed)
We have nearly $60B and nothing to show for it. There are reports of Ukraine hiring child soldiers and bombing civilian areas of Russia with our weapons (which are war crimes), the administration has even admitted they don't know where these weapons are going. I'm sorry, but we've got very little to take credit for in Ukraine.

Try again, this is fun.

Trump wanted to spend the money too (politically), but in both instances they were wrong.

The $1.9M expanded up to people earning $150K while simultaneous shutting down or discouraging services has led us to this point where excess demand is chasing the same or fewer products.

Trump wanted to spend infrastructure money on roads, bridges, IOW real tangible assets.........not a bunch of woke shit the Democrats intended on doing. Social spending isn't infrastructure and they knew it and killed it.

Disagree. Trump wanted to spend the money on improving the country. He is a businessman, so when it came to fiscal policy, he as very much in the 'you have to spend money to make money' camp.

Irked the hell out of the fiscal conservatives and balanced budget voters, but I am fine with spending money IF the President can recoup a profit for the nation.

Take infrastructure, Trump wanted to focus on modernizing airports and highways in order to boost economic productivity and tourism. He had a plan in place for the expenses to more than pay for itself.

Hiden (and all dems) want to spend to line their own pockets. That's the difference. Some conservatives don't like Trump's approach, and I understand that. But none of them like Hiden's approach.

I wouldn’t count the infrastructure bill, that had large amounts not for infrastructure….as a success.

Here is my take on your list.

Accomplishments

  • $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure package Estimated that only 8% actually went for actual "infrastructure"
  • The $1.9 trillion COVID relief deal Included billions for schools to do what was needed to reopen, but most of the $ not spent and schools stayed closed for over 1 year. Also gace States billions to use for covid, with many 'Blue" states not using the $ for anything covid related.
    • Included police aid
    • Child tax credit was good for low-income people
  • Federal judges
  • Vaccination rollout Mandating vaccines/masks has been a mess
  • Climate Change (EA)
  • Reduced unemployment If you look at this honestly, any President would be able to claim this as millions of people went back to work after covid restrictions started being lifted.
  • Foreign policy What policy is that? Help Iran get Nukes? Saudis refusing to take his calls? Turning his back on Israel? The USA is a bigger laughing stock overseas then ever before.
  • KBJ Nominated simply for her skin color and gender, even though she doesn't seem to know exactly what gender is.
  • Police Reform (Federal)
  • Lead the charge to open schools NO he didn't. He supported the Teach Unions, which did everything they could to keep schools closed for as long as possible.
  • Student loan forgiveness (soon) Has not happended and will not happen. He doesn't has the legal authority to do this, unless he uses tax $ to "payoff" or pay down on someone's loans. His approval rating is so low, they are only using this possibility to try and gain approval.
  • Stood up to Russia Sure, if you go by strictly what Biden said and you don't pay attention to or just ignore the White House immediately stepping back Biden's commits.
  • Stood up to China in regard to Taiwan See above.
  • Black business Not sure what if anything he has down to help with black owned businesses, BUT he did support BLM/Antifa, who actually looted/burned/destroyed a large number of black businesses.
  • Justice department is respectable again Reallty, uh, Merrick Garland! Working with school boards and teacher unions and white house to investigate parents????
  • Drug seizures at the border is up Drug seizures are up BECAUSE THE BORDER IS WIDE OPEN, so eaiser for Cartell to bring the drugs over.
  • Better treatment of children at the border No proof of this. Those cages Dems like to talk about, started under Obama, and before Biden started shipping illegal immigrant children all over the US in the middle of the night, the cages were stuffed full.
  • Attempted to get voting rights done He came out in support of the MSM lie about Georgia voter reform. Just listening to him, you knew he did not read the law. The have had record voter turnouts for the primaries, since the law passed.
  • Federal guidelines improved What guideline are you even talking about?
  • HBCU debt funding
  • Getting out of Afghanistan This was one of his biggest failures. And they way he did it basically signaled Russia and China as to how weak he really was.
  • Increased federal minimum wage
Failures
  • Border is too active with people trying to enter the country
  • Merrick Garland
  • BBB failure
  • Afghanistan withdrawal
  • covid messaging
  • refusal to do a tax holiday to help with gas prices
  • Kamala Harris
  • Ultra-MAGA phrase

The fallacy of his statement is that the accomplishments are statements of fact rather than of opinion. They are his opinion, not facts.

Even the idea of someone actually holding those opinions is a stretch for me...and that explains why he stated he wouldn't reply ITT.

It feels like another “independent” is gracing us with his presence.
I go back and forth on this, but I dont think @grandhavendiddy is trolling when he says he is a republican. I think he really believes he is.

What changed my mind is when he admitted he lives in Colorado, one of the bluest states in America. To be fair, a moderate or even left-leaning moderate would look like a conservative compared to the crazies in Colorado. So I think when he views himself on being on the right (even right of center) politically, he's comparing himself to the crazies in his state.

If he was in the Deep South, I think it would be a massive eye-opener for him.

I don't.

Your political experience is much, much wider than your local area these days.
