And They're Off and Winning Again...

I told my better half in the 3rd inning that the team needed to give Kelly some support with their bats. They never did and so a couple of very uncharacteristic errors killed them. :(

Next up; recover the bats or go home,,, again... o_O
Yep!!

I can't see how it would be a problem at all, since the two of them can claim that I'm married to a male cousin... o_O

It's kinda like you can say redneck, cracker, honkey, WASP, etc, but certain other derogatory words are not allowed...

It my book, it should all be accepted as 'sticks & stones' all the way around in a country that supposedly has 'free speech,' instead of PC grammatical tyranny as a basic principle...

0-0 in the top of the 3rd and Alabama is behaving like the favorite and us the underdogs. We look lethargic and stressed. Hopefully they can get it going.

Whichever team ends up in the CWS will be the weakest hitting team there. Thank God for Amanda Lorenz and Delanie Gourley. Wouldn't surprise me if Gourley starts the game tomorrow.

The guy who refers to circle jerks, butt buddies, dog-pokers, and various other sexual themes, is offended about a joke concerning marrying his male cousin?

My my.

I wasn't offended at all dumb-ass, (cause I've never respected your opinions on anything of value) I just responded in kind to the circle jerks that were running their idiot mouths again. o_O

Waste of 'time and space' moe-rons...

OU Wimmins sweep Aubren 5-2 punch ticket to OKC ;)

56-9 on the year 17-1 big 12 play ( team can hit and pitch)

Vaunted SEC 0-6 against non conference opponents in the super regionals :rolleyes:

Will the Lizzerd be watching from the couch again? :D:eek:

Big Deal -- on beating AU this season.
UF 4-3 AU
UF 7-0 AU
UF 0-1 AU
---------------
UF 11 - 4 AU

And the crappy 1st Base Ref, along with the Home Plate Ump, had to help them out several times in game 3 in order to keep the Gators from putting a 3 game sweep on the barners...

Gator Softball - 54-8, 20-3 SEC UF is 23-6 vs Top 25 Teams, with 17 of those wins by Shutout.

The Vaulted SEC put 13 teams in the NCAA Tourney.
Has the Big12/10/whatever ever put 13 teams in the Tourney?
The easy answer is not freakin' likely to ever happen.

So, how many of your over-rated conf. teams made the tourney this year? (crickets)

Gator Softball - 54-8, 20-3 SEC

UF has to play Bama to get to the WCWS, while UF/UA have won 3 of the last 5 Championships. In your Conf, who besides OK has won a recent WCWS? (more crickets)

How about you post the same info for your own over rated 'cake-walk' chokers. (crickets the size of rino's)

The Gator's 4 Pitchers have a combined 0.68 ERA against that top level of competition. o_O

lol that's because the bad teams are playing the top seeds and the better ones are playing each other, and LSU just beat FSU and will win and go to the CWS tomorrow...

Just glad to get out of that series with a win. I have so much respect for the Bama program and their coach. Classy guy. Barnhill was tremendous, especially having to adjust to that ump's tiny and ever changing strike zone. But a win is a win. Get the bats going and make a run at the WCWS,

LSU beats FSU 6-4 to advance to the WCWS. FSU had won 36 straight games at home until LSU got them yesterday and today. 3rd straight year to Oklahoma City for former Gator pitcher Beth Torina and her Tigers.

Gator softball open the WCWS at noon on Thursday vs. Texas A&M. They beat UT yesterday and today to knock out the Vols. Is there a Citrus Bowl for softball? Remember, you can't spell Citrus without UT!!! :):)

If it's the dust-bowl chokers vs the bay-rapist, then nobody but a Big12/10/whatever fan will watch it or GaS who wins it... :D

I think Tennessee, Arizona & FSU getting knocked out helps the Gators. I like the idea of facing teams who have not gone up against our pitchers before. We did face UCLA back on March 3 and won 9-4. And Arizona, I thought, was the best all around team going in. Baylor, Texas A&M & Washington are great hitting teams with good, but not great, pitching. LSU has great senior leadership and has won a bunch of games on the brink of elimination. Resilient team with a former Gator pitcher as their coach. UCLA & Oregon scare me the most, but if we can get our bats going just a little bit better I like our chances. In 4 of our losses we got shut out and lost 1-0, 2-0, 1-0 & 3-0. In 3 other losses we only scored 1 run and the only loss where we scored more than 1 run was that fluke loss to Maryland, 4-2. Just shows that when we score 2+ we win.

Gators softball off to an impressive start at WCWS, beating Texas A&M 8-0 in 5 innings. Barnhill says she was off her game in giving up 3 whole hits. Great at bats, clutch hitting and a 3-run bomb from Ocasio.

Gators very impressive in a 7-0 thumping of LSU. Bats coming alive up and down the lineup. Home Runs from Wheaton & Kvistad, a clutch 2 run double by Herndon and another shutout, 2-hitter from Barnhill. We now wait to see who comes out of the loser's bracket and would have to lose twice on Sundays to be kept out of the championship series starting Monday night.

Barnhill stayed with the low inside pitches, even though the blind/biased ump called at least 30 of them balls, when about 20 of them were actually strikes.
I know they were strikes, because when the LSU pitcher threw pitches in the exact same place, he called them strikes 2 out of 3 times...

It's not that Barnhill didn't have her best stuff in those 2 SHUTOUT games, it's that the plate ump basically SUCKED on making correct calls. o_O

Softball - WCWS

Florida 8 - 0 aTm (run rule shutout)
Florida 7 - 0 LSU (shutout)

Okla 6 - 3 Bay
Okla 3 - 1 Wash

With Sunday wins, it would be UF vs Ok in the final for the WCWS Championship.

Gator softball earned their way into the finals by beating Washington today 5-2. Gourley was awesome in the circle and the bats pretty much put the game away in the 2nd inning. Oklahoma & Florida have won 2 each of the last 4 national titles, so it should be a great series. Oklahoma has the confidence after winning it all last year with basically the same team. But the Gators have had the best pitching staff in the country all year long and the bats have come alive in the WCWS. They seem to be focused. Best 2 out of 3 starts Monday night at 7 pm on ESPN.

Sooners experience was the difference tonight. That along with the bottom of their lineup way better than Florida.

And just like that these girls says "Countrygator we are not done yet"!!! Florida is determined to win this game!!!

it's only a matter of time before they lose, when has Florida EVER won a long ass classic game like this in any sport?

Great game between the 2 best teams in the nation. I said from the beginning that Oklahoma was way underseeded and being the defending national champions with virtually the same lineup, plus an added flamethrower that wasn't with them last year, they were always going to be the Gators' biggest threat to the title this year. Oklahoma just has more dangerous hitters in their lineup than does Florida. But even so, we had several chances to walk it off and couldn't get the clutch hit. Can't point fingers at anybody. Both teams are gritty and determined. OU just got the bigger hit and held on. Congrats to them and we'll see what happens tonight.

how is a regional game with usf even close to the same though, Florida has always been on the losing end of these "instant classics" in big games

Great season and the program remains strong. OU lefty made the difference tonight. She got way better since her 2 years at mizzou.
