It’s a good thing Kirby can recruit well enough to win games in spite of his coaching because he is a dreadful in game coach. The examples are many of you’d like to see them.

1) Lost to Butch Jones and Jim McElwain and proceeded to go 8-5 with a 10 win team he inherited.

2) Crapped the bed against Bama twice when he had both games won. That fake punt call is still the worst in history.

3) Took him almost an entire game to realize an opposing team’s secondary was Swiss cheese before deciding to throw on them.

4) Literally didn’t have his team ready to play Texas at all. A complete lack of getting his team ready on his part. Meanwhile, Mullen has his team obliterate Michigan.

I could go on but there are countless examples that he is a horrible in game coach.

Every last one of our seniors just went undrafted including 3/5 of the oline. We had one junior drafted in the second round and the rest were all mid round picks. Please tell me more about how talented we were. And if you’re going by recruiting rankings Mac’s 3 year results were the worst dating back to 91. Only 30% of the prospects he signed were 4 or 5-stars.

They finished the regular season at 10-2. They lost their bowl game to the nerds from Atlanta. Dak was never a highly touted recruit. Besides LSU(late) he never garnered any attention from big programs. Offers were Memphis, North Texas, Lafayette, and other smaller schools. Don't forget Mullen also coached Alex Smith, Brian Johnson (both BCS Bowl game winners), and Nick Fitzgerald and was successful. If he finished the season ranked in the top 8 with Felipe Franks...wait until he gets someone better. Mullen makes the QB's all world(although Tebow was great regardless).

Something else we never talk about is how he adjusted Chris Leak who by no means was the fit for his system into a national title winner.

Point is Dan doesn't have to have a Tebow to win big. He can make QB's a Dak.

I haven't seen anything that Kirby has done that separates to make him a Richt himself if Mullen is crowned the next Richt by you.
