Amidst the bad news today, this nugget should help...

“Listen, winning one SEC Championship Game doesn’t make you a dominant program, you know what I’m saying?” Mullen said with a laugh via 247sports. “In two of the last three years, we’ve been to the SEC Championship Game. So even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while.”

Have you read the entire transcript? If anything, that was more of a shot at McElwain than anybody. We had won the East 2 of the last 3 years and nobody thought we were dominant. And it was also in response to being asked about the thing y’all had on Twitter about it being “X number of days since UF last beat UGA.” Either way, something like that damn sure isn’t worth all the crying y’all have been doing about Mullen. You’d think he said Athens is full of mouth breathers or something the way y’all complain about him ‘running his mouth.’ Y’alls fans talk way more than he does.

WTF is wrong with you? You realize a bammer in this board is the same thing. But you like what he says so it’s all good. I’m not banned on the UGA site so that makes you a liar. And if you are saying you’re a mid here, which you are also lying about, then prove it by banning all the Dawgs.

Why all? Not all an immature boy whose constantly on here not offering anything intelligent but, to rag in a rival. Either stop or you’ll get a months banning.

And BTW, Gators get more levity ( that means they can post shit about Georgia but, you can’t about THE University of Florida ) than Rival fans. Try what you do in here over at Warchant and you’ll be gone FOR GOOD in about an hour. Same as if I did your immature posts over at DawgVent.

Bottom line is grow up!

I have to say reading that for the first time and not even the full transcript that looks way more like a shot at McElwain than anything else.

Your lack of self awareness is astonishing. I’ve been far more respectful than you have. So, ban me if you have the power. Don’t wait, so it. You don’t need a reason.

Well you’re not a sensitive bitch like most of their fans so of course you’d read it that way. All this shit talking Mullen has supposedly been doing is so blown out of proportion.

post the transcript and I'll read it. It doesn't make much sense to mention winning 1 SEC championship the year after UGA won it and say we(as in Florida) have made it to the championship 2 of the last 3 years.

What about it doesn’t make sense? The world doesn’t revolve around UGA contrary to popular belief. It was a shot to both Mac and UGA. The entire point was UF had played in 2 of the last 3 and nobody thought they were a powerhouse because they weren’t (shot at Mac) so y’all playing in it once (after having not won it in over a decade) didn’t suddenly make you Bama (blind squirrel can find a nut). Point is he was asked about it, he didn’t bring it up unprompted. Your fan base is just full of whiny, insecure bitches.

Sounds like he's taking a shot at Florida, if anything.

I thought the same thing and this is the first time I've seen it too.

I see now why none of them would tell me what he said LOL Mullen is actually calling out his own program and these homers take it as a swipe at Kirby LMAO!

I thought they were just upset about the spring game attendance thing. Which we were the first butt of that joke until they officially changed it. Being upset about that comment that depending on how you read it is either a bigger shot at his own program or at least equal parts poking fun at both programs. Either way what a collective bunch of insecure babies. If this is what you need to motivate yourselves against a rival the loser culture within the UGA fanbase is way worse than I thought. And if they lose to UF this season after this emotional breakdown, I’m not even joking about this, self-immolation might be on the uptick this fall. I mean you have beaten them two years in a row and yet think they are not a threat at all then why this much of an outburst over some of the smallest and pettiest “trash talk” I’ve seen? There is an awful lot of intellectual and emotional dishonesty here.

Now mind you around the same time Mullen was regularly being asked about Mac’s program and how any success was kind of a mirage. Both the players and coaches would talk about how things like the strength program was subpar and players would barely work out during the off-season. All offseason the theme leading up to the season was learning to do things the right way and not cutting corners.

So it was definitely a minor shot at UGA, but also a shot at Mac’s program. Of course UGA fans think the world revolves around them.

Bingo. They are clearly worried that Kirby isn't going to cut it, that's why they get so defensive when we point out where he's stubbed his toes.

They need to relax and enjoy the ride. They are acting like a fanbase that hasn't seen their team win a NC in their lifetimes.

You don't need to make excuses for him. He said them and needs to own them.

If he said that about his own players on his team then that is way worse than saying it about an opposing coach. If you are right thiugh it may be why he doesn't seem to have control of his team.

Or it shows leadership. Saban called out Bama fans and the program as soon as he arrived on campus.

Whining about what another coach says doesn't show anything worth celebrating.

I have to question if you’ve ever been in a leadership position or you’re trying too hard to spin this. The coach is responsible for the team’s success. The players part is putting in the effort but the coach has to give them a foundation/environment to put it in that effort. If any part of your s&c, OC, DC, etc is weak or half assed that’s not on the players that’s the coach that isn’t overseeing those aspects. I don’t think the UF players would disagree that their two division titles were fools gold considering they weren’t competitive with Alabama and ultimately led to a 4-7 season (which I thoroughly enjoyed) because the foundation was built on sand. He had emotional seniors in his locker room following their Peach Bowl win crying and thanking him for showing them what success and work looks like. We’re all just hoping Mullen falls flat after this season but when you take an honest look at the situation it doesn’t look likely.

You wouldn’t know this because well, you don’t know what a championship program looks like, but it’s called accountability and raising standards. Unlike you all celebrating second place finishes and almosts aren’t what championship programs do. They accomplished nothing and didn’t need to be celebrated for it. Championships are all that matter, nobody gives a shit about losing multiple games and making an appearance.

Exactly. Both years UF went to the SEC Championship they lost 4 games and got blown out multiple times during the season. In both cases we had one of the worst offenses in the country too. It was fools gold. We beat no one and backed into the division titles because the division as a whole was trash. Nothing worth celebrating.

Guy who was a great coordinator at Bama gets an SEC job and flops.

Hmmmm......
