Moore apparently made it to LSU. He will probably say they have the best academics now like after all his other visits.

Some good noise out there finally. Georgia fans seem to be thinking we are going to get Elam after thinking it was 50/50 a few days ago and no one seems to know where Bogle is going between UF, Bama and Miami. If we land Elam and Bogle this will be a # 8 or so class probably.

Looking at our Future DT possibilities I see -
WARREN BRINSON 6' 4.5" 290 Lbs (2020) offered, future unknown
JAELIN HUMPHRIES 6'3'' 303 Lbs 4* True Freshman-not EE
LUCAS ALONSO 6'3" 298 Lbs Preferred Walk ON 2nd team All Dade
Expecting any of these young men to take the field at DT in September is ridiculous. All of them will need to gain strength and learn the system. Hopefully, David Turner will be able to Coach Them Up for the future !
Where David needs to work his magic is obvious - Our current roster of interior DL players
These three are JR for next season and have the size for DT but have little playing time

Shuler has started and despite being somewhat undersized for a DT; his speed has been a difference maker. GR transfer with one year left ?
These two will be SR and have not done much; one year left for the light to come on.

We are getting a good one in C. Kimbrough. He's a physical corner that will add quality depth. We've done well with this class so far; however, it would be fantastic to add Elam. I mean, UF is The DBU!
Jeff, I don't really see any problem with the DL, even if they sign nobody else in the 2019 class. It's icing from here on in...

Greenard missed almost the entire season because of a wrist injury he suffered in the opener against Alabama, but the previous year he had 48 Tks, 29 Solo, 15 TFL, 7 sacks & 1 FF. He should be an immediate contributor for Florida, and help what was already one of the best defensive lines in the country become even more dangerous.

Some of the reason that some of those guys haven't played much is because of the talent in front of them, not because of any great lack of talent on their part. This is now their time to shine, so we'll see how the rotations go...

Hey now, no need to keep trashing the visitors from the peachpit state. They just won back to back national championships and the rings should be arriving next week. That coupled with their recruiting national championships that they've won the past 3 years in a row has their trophy case absolutely stuffed right now.

lmao - seriously those guys talk as if they've won 2 straight natties, downplaying the fact we are on the rise. It is fun though.
Some supposed instagram messages from Steele are making the rounds a little. Steele is talking to friends and Nick Cross at one point and he says Elam is definitely coming to the Gators and then he is telling the friend that Nick Cross was practically begging to be offered by UF to be able to come here and that Grantham and Mullen said no he wasn't going to be offered. Steele then says Cross was getting annoying bugging him about it and then Cross told him he would see him later this year. He took that to mean if Cross does jump ship from FSU it would be to Georgia.
Looks like UF is snubbing Cross like you mention - wondering why exactly. Guy wants in and we have spots...top 50 athlete I think.

Either they must think he is a problem or they think he is just trying to play us.
Right but I’d still rather get an elite athlete and take my chances. We got guys at safety right now that are neither productive or athletic. Worst case scenario he becomes a beast on special teams. I don’t get it if true but I’m not the coach.
Willie T likes Cross so therefore I trust Mullen’s dislike of his talent. Willie wouldn’t know a good football player if it sat up and slapped him in the face. Dude is so bad.
Might be more of Mullen wants team guys at WR, guys who will block and not just demand the ball. I don't know anything about Cross, just guessing that he has some prima donna in him, but it's a theory.

Out of the possibilities for us (even if some are very remote) I would have the top 2 possibilities like this as of right now:

5 star WR Pickens just switched to Georgia in a pretty big flip from Auburn.

50/50 between FSU and Penn (IMO).
50/50 between FSU and Maryland for Lance not Cross (IMO). Frenchie increased our chances, though.
I also think we get the three OL on the board.
Uhhhh there's no trophy for beating Auburn in a recruiting class. It's a number. Auburn getting a better class or not doesn't affect the kids we are bringing in to play with this class. I would MUCH rather sit behind Aurubrn in the recruiting class rankings than see jortgia get another 5* player who we will have to compete against on the field each and every year.
Yes having a highly ranked recruiting class is good and is a good selling point to future recruits too, but unless you are georgia, there is no trophy or rings given out for your recruiting class ranking. You take what you can take and work with it.
I don't disagree but the fact of where we are right now compared to the last few years is outstanding. 1 more good season and recruiting class and we are going to be legit again. I think we have one of the best coaches in the country...Mullen is an awesome game day coach too...not a lot of guys out there that can get it done during the game.

Right but if we had the same exact kids sign with us in this class and we end up #20 or #2 in the country based on the classes that other teams got, it makes no difference to us. We still got the players we have.
I just don't want to see the recruiting classes of teams we have to play every year get better. If I entered today with any recruiting hopes as such, it was that georgia and alabama wouldn't get any richer than they already are on the talent roster.
Did you just insinuate that someone couldn't qualify to enter the university of georgia? Dryer lint qualifies to enter that "school".
