Sure overlook FSU because no qb has signed in two years and the OL doesn’t look like it’ll be any better. Got everyone right where we need them...
Teams with poor classes considering who they are: UCLA, Miami, FSU and USC
Miami’s class was the worst class I’ve ever seen one of the Big 3 sign. They literally got nobody.
FSUs class was filled with just about zero needs except DB. They whiffed everywhere else.
You got 1 good LBer and 1 good OL and that’s it. FSU whiffed on just about every single need.
You just wait until Willie rolls out the 1-1-9 defense, he’ll show us
So which 4 star backer isn't any good? Since we got two. Got 6 OL, are you saying none of them are any good? I find that hard to believe.
Time to run the single wing with Cam Akers. If Willie T will ever play him more than 20 snaps a game, that is.

Obviously the QB whiff is as big as anything I’ve ever seen. I think they said FSU is the only program in the entire country to not sign at least 1 QB in 2 years.
Clemson told him no if he isn't committed to playing football. Kid is a really good player, though

They want them to sit and infiltrate all these other top schools and then transfer to Miami after they have learned the tricks and coaching styles of the Alabama or Ohio States of the world. Tricky..... Always finding ways to cheat
Willie is going to roll out an A-11 offense this season. Run Emory and Henry every play. Nearly anyone of any size can stand in the way at OL and a strong armed QB is of no need.
How much sleep would you lose if we got bumped to #11. We signed a great early signing class. Got a few more studs on the regular signing day. Won many battles, filled needs, already on a good track for the 2020 class pre August deadline, but you are worried about Penn State who we will probably never play save some bowl game such as the Outback.

It does suck he is getting all those good transfers for our game. Without them the game was probably going to be a laugher but now it could possibly be competitive. That kid from VT is really good and also Phillips from UCLA when he is not injured.
People like Fever that worry this much about rankings always make me shake my head. It's not about where your team is ranked, its did they fill their needs?
If your top needs were offensive and defensive linemen and you signed the #1 class, and didn't sign a single lineman, then you signed A BAD CLASS. It doesn't matter that they were ranked #1, if you didn't hit your needs, then you blew it.
Correct. For example UF signed 7 olineman. Olineman aren’t typically ranked as high as many of the other positions and they don’t typically give you a lot of recruiting point but we filled a big need.
To finish at #8 in the rankings after signing 7 olineman is a pretty damn good.
I love the recovery after the terrible start but our problem is the 2 schools recruiting at a crazy level now are the same 2 we have to overcome to start winning SEC Championships again. It will be hard to beat Georgia consistently to win the East most years until that gap is lessened some with top 5 type classes.
Looks like Charles Moore was fools gold and is having to go to Junior College first. The same guy that bragged about all the schools academics.
Florida didn't have a terrible start or strong finish, they had a good class. People that wring their hands about recruiting rankings in July will never understand this.
Georgia can sign all the #1 classes they want, as long as 4th and Kirby is still coaching them, it won't matter.
Well, if you don't put a QB on the field, that should increase the OLs chance of doing a good job, right? Addition through subtraction! There will be ZERO QB sacks or hurries in 2019!
I think in 2020 we will start getting the classes we need hopefully to knock you guys off and start winning the East again regularly but I can see why a Bama fan likes things the way they are.
Kirby may not be a great coach but he already won the SEC and almost won the Playoff Championship game just because of the talent he is bringing in.

ELLISVILLE – Jones College head football coach Steve Buckley has announced tryouts will be held Feb. 21-22 at Bobcat Stadium/Sim Cooley Field.
Registration will be at 1 p.m. each day, immediately followed by the tryouts.
Cost is $10 per participant – cash or check only. Participants must be a high school senior or a college student with remaining junior college eligibility. Players must bring their own cleats and a copy of their current physical.

Moore was one of the players who we were recruiting at the end, then suddenly fell out of the race for over the past week. He signed with Auburn yesterday, but apparently the admissions staff was on holiday ! also signed with Jones County JUCO.

Yep - Moore signed 2 LOIs which I hadn't heard before but I've read it does happen every year with guys on the bubble of making it academically. They'll sign both D1 and Juco and see how it turns out.
After all is said and done, I and pretty much every educated person on the planet is still insulted that earlier in this thread, someone insinuated that a recruit having trouble QUALIFYING for admittance to Georgia could be a thing. I have lost sleep over the fact that someone thought it could actually be hard to get into what is pretty much nearly the absolute worst academic institution in The SEC. If the SEC had any kind of academic minimum standards, UGLY would be out of the conference before the ink even dried and Tennessee right behind them.

Then I apologize to @nail1988 . My understanding was that you can't sign two LOI's. I've seen where guys sent two and the one with the earliest acceptable date stamp was declared the valid one and the other was null.
Too many rules are changing too fast for me. Can't keep up.

And if you don't trust and believe the 'fevered brain' then just look as Clemp's-son. If they didn't recruit Top 5 classes consistently, they'd never win squat...
