As you recall one of the finest members of our board @dlmoyersr had a tragedy back in October when he lost his son to Covid. He left behind a beautiful little daughter for whom he was the only parent Our friend @dlmoyersr and his wife are now raising his child.

I started a gofundme that @FresnoGator was kind enough to pin to the top and @Corey Bender was kind enough to leave it up there for a long time. I can never express the depth of my gratitude to the two of them for doing that. In addition @NickdelaTorre was kind enough to tweet it out which led to even more contributions. I can never thank @NickdelaTorre enough for that.

Today I sent a check to @dlmoyersr and his family for $8804 dollars which we raised through the go fund me. He plans to use that money to start a college education fund for his Beautiful granddaughter.

I was overwhelmed with yawls generosity and it speaks highly for why I love what this forum is and what I hope that it will continue to be.

Thank you everyone and the go fund me is still open so you can still contribute and whatever else we raise I will get to @dlmoyersr

I’ve been here since it was Marty’s site and have stayed through all the changes. Yes we’ve lost some of my favorite posters like Bubba, Uber, Diddy and Hank but for the most part the people I want here are here.

The information is nice to get but I don’t care who it comes from. I’d never heard of Nick, Cory, Jaqui etc until they came to where I already was. I’ve never heard of Higdon and I don’t care who he is.

This place is my virtual Gators sports bar. An oasis up here in Buckeye country. So who is staying and who is going. Constructing this message was more difficult than I imagined, but I'm here to announce that next Tuesday will be my final day at Rivals, and more importantly, Gators Territory.

I received my first gig as a sports journalist back in 2011, and although it was my dream career dating back to middle school, there were many risks and unknowns after I got out of the Army. I barely made any money covering USF, the industry was already jam-packed with talent, especially in Florida, but I never doubted myself, continued to hammer out 4-5 stories a day and knew my time would come. Those prayers were eventually answered roughly two years later.

From there, I earned the titles of Regional Recruiting Analyst, National Recruiting Analyst, and now publisher of Gators Territory, which has been my favorite job of them all.

These past three and a half years have been amazing, and much of that is due to the interaction with you guys. You guys have provided a home-like feel from the start, and while there have been some dark days surrounding the UF program, you guys stayed loyal and are the ones who make this site go. Hopefully, you guys have enjoyed your experience as much as I have. I cannot thank you enough.

Also, this is not just about me; it's nearly impossible to run a Power Five team site without the help of others. We manufactured an army of writers over the last several years, so they definitely need to be recognized as well.

A massive thank you to the likes of Nick de la Torre, Zach Abolverdi, Jacquie Franciulli, Conner Clarke, Joseph Hastings, Hector Rodriquez, Russ Wood, Donavon Keiser, Pat O'Donnell and Declan Walsh. What an All-Star lineup!

However, with all that being said, many of you will still see me around.

I recently received another job opportunity in the Gators market that I simply could not pass up. I will be announcing my next move early next week, so if you follow me on Twitter, stay tuned for that. I'm stoked for what's to come!

As for what is next at Rivals, director or operations, @Josh Helmholdt, will be on the board shortly to share those details.

I will be updating this thread as the day goes on. Coaches are now permitted to travel out to high schools to meet with prospects but also conduct in-home visits. A lot of these coaches are facing a lot of uncertainity right now, but they are still out there doing their jobs and selling the UF brand. That is all you can ask for.

He’s a close personal friend of Fauci. When I wrote something describing what was gonna happen with this virus on the main board, which actually turned out to be pretty damn accurate if you go back and read it, @swissgator Supposedly showed it to Fauci who apparently attacked it and swiss attacked me multiple times.
