the coaching is just really bad. But I see some talented players. You get a good coach in here and can keep the nucleus of the team I think the team could be good in 2025.

For example imagine Kiffin with Lagway, etc.

This guy doesn't miss. He is Top gunner. We Definitely have a quarterback controversy. Or atleast a debate. Holy cow this guy is dropping dimes all over the place. Hope Mertz steps up but damn DJ looks like a star. Can't see Mertz making a lot of these throws.

1.) How did we not use Tre in the first half? Hes one of the best skill players in the country.

2.) I love Graham. But we are building for the future. Lagway is a star and is the only thing that will keep the hope for next year. Let him take his bumps and get his experience, he will be one of the best QB in the country next year if we do so.
Unfortunately we know Napier is gonna play Mertz next week and it will be another dagger jn his casket.

3.) Why do we keep rotating so many players? I dont see any other program do this. I specifically noticed we had Pup, Shemar, Jaden R, Moten, and Wingo playing 2 linebacker spots in the meat of the game. You cant win like this.

4.) 3 guys who shouldnt touch the field. J Jackson, K Waites, D Manuel. They are all terrible. Jackson has been toasted both weeks and against a low level division 1 guy tonight. The two o lineman are just terrible.

5.) Coaching still seems to be an issue. We have a lot of issues with in game adjustments and I believe this defense is gonna have a bad year. We just look bad and we rotate like 30 players.

6.) officiating tonight was as bad as ive ever seen . They completely blew atleast 3 targetings on samford tonight. Did they even call

I totally agree both sides of the ball looked like hot garbage, but…
We got handled by Miami on the LOS by recruiting. It will happen again against ugay & Texas. After that we should be able to match up
But watching KY & fsu those are winnable games that maybe we weren’t counting on. with just letting the young talented guys go, and DJ stepping up quickly, who knows?

The Q.B. from Samford threw for 302 yards and ran for another 95 last week in a 38-29 loss to West Georgia. Who? You heard me. So, will he be around those numbers today? Gosh, I certainly hope not but, given the Train Wreck from last week and how we are missing 4 Defensive Starters, I wouldn’t be surprised.

I think it’s close at 1/2 like 14-10 or so and then D.J. does a Lamar Jackson and runs for over 100 yards with a Touchdown and the final score will be,

I had the chance to meet and talk to a former UF great who played for UF in the early 2010s and spent several years in the NFL. I won’t say who it was given what he told me. I spent about 20 mins chatting with him and he was super nice and very open so I asked him the following:

1. Did you like the BN hire a couple years ago? He didn’t say whether he liked the hire or not but he said when it was announced (or about to be announced) he reached out to a couple of his NFL coaches and none of them knew who BN was. The only coach who knew of him was Billy Gonzales who was at FAU at the time. And all Billy said to him was that he met BN once pre-game when they were coaching for opposing teams and BG said that BN seemed like a nice guy. Thats it.

2. I told him that he needed to get back to Gville to help the situation. He said “give me all the money you have and I’ll combine it with all the money I have as buying this staff out is the only answer to our problems.”

3. Finally, I asked who he wanted the next coach to be. I didn’t get the words out of my mouth and he said Lane Kiffin. I said that’s going to be expensive. And he said “everyone good is going to be expensive.” He then said that Kiffin was already “approved” as a head coach at UF. I didn’t really know what that meant but wasn’t going to press him in the comment.

Has to be one of the biggest upsets in a long time. Northern Illinois takes down number 5 Notre Dame and Notre Dame Stadium. Wow.

fire his last silver bullet, DJ Lagaway. After what I’ve seen today during college football games across the land, Billy still has chance to survive this.

UM is unfortunately this years version of FSU with a cream puff schedule to the playoffs. Then it’s back to reality for them next year. IMO Samford, TAMU, UK are all doable. Add 1 or 2 surprises with a sprinkle of DJ magic and may go bowling. There’s a lot of football left to play this seat folks; however, I understand the frustrations.

Would be good to get a road win at UK

Texas will be a blood bath. I will be at the game; going with some buddies who are UT fans - may need to wear my daughter’s Rice merch, lol

Always viewed a Florida-based school should be more pass-oriented than what we've seen within recent years given the athletic makeup of the state. Miami, outside of Ward, rushed it 30 times while throwing it 35 times.

Talked about Florida and FSU in one if the segments. When UF was brought up, he said that culture should be there by the third year. Also questioned our talent, especially at the skill positions. Said you have to be capable of explosive plays in today’s game.

I think it would really spice the game up and be fair game. If when a play happens on the sideline and these jack leg "grown men" start talking sh!t with the opposing players that they immediately become free game. No penalties, no questions asked they are targets and can be delt with!

Well, I think all we have left are wishes... I am dumbfounded at how bad we looked last week and I am convinced that if we had a decent offensive game plan and OC we would have been in this game even with our deficiencies. However, Billy is still calling the plays and without a transcendent talent to overcome his poor game planning we are doomed.

Enter DJ Lagway.

I am hoping that today we will see a very talented kid that can make things happen with his feet, that can improvise wisely, that can actually throw a receiver open on a long ball. If he does all that, the defense will not play 8-9 in the box and the running game opens up. The defense stays off the field and believes they have a chance and may play with more passion. I truly believe that Lagway has the chance to turn this thing around and it starts today.

IF he plays well and Billy goes back to being a nice guy and not a coach and wants to play Mertz the majority of the time next week, then he should be fired after the A&M game. We have to play our stud young players now. Dj, LJ and the others needs to be on the field and take their lumps. We will see today if DJ is as good as we hope. If he is, it is the only chance for this team to salvage this season and his play could elevate everyone else.

Napier just needs to get out of the way.

Penn State trying to stave off Bowling Green a week removed from going into Morgantown and winning easily.

Oklahoma State not able to move the ball at all at home against Arkansas (who looks improved FYI).

Kansas State struggling at Tulane.

Maybe we just had a bad week? I don’t know. I just need hope.

Curious what people here think of this game with Miami realistically and the matchups and comparison of the talent. I need to look at it some more but just from looking at who will likely be the starters for each team I can see why Vegas has them a slight favorite in the Swamp. I know paper doesn't mean squat until you show it on the field but on paper with their portal additions and quite a few of their 2023 recruits showing they could play good as true freshman combined with some talented returning players (some from season ending injury) I think this may be a #10 area team talent wise. If you take out the very top teams talent wise like GA, Ohio St, TX and Oregon I think Miami on paper is right there with the teams in the next level. This Miami roster is a lot better than it was last season.
